I have rescued around 60 feral kittens .I currently have 33.Ive had 2 young cats die from fip .Its horrible. Both were mis diagnosed has something else until right before they died. I have the meds ready just in case I encounter another case.please pray for us and our cats! It might seem crazy what we do,but it has had a profound positive effect on me and my adult children. My new couches are torn up,my dining room furniture is torn up,but We love our babies so much that we just see it as an expense.they are worth every penny.

I tried giving my FIP cat her second injection today. Her first one was done at the vet. I tried following the steps but once I tried injecting the medicine, she meowed loudly and tried to bite me 🥲I was terribly anxious thinking that I might be doing it wrong. So for her next injections, it'll be at the vet until we change her GS to pill/tablet form.

You can try to give her some snacks during the injection. It will help to distract her from the pain or get lidocaine cream from the vet or local pharmacy. Apply on the injection spot 30 minutes before the injection. It will help to reduce the painfulness.

I had a cat with FIP that underwent successfully this treatment (and he was way better just after 5 or 6 days after starting it).
I have, now, a second cat, that also needs it. He hasnt evolved as well, he is still a bit difficult to feed and he is already half way in the 84-day period but is skin is very saturated and with several wounds (although that is something to be more or less expected) and very difficult now to find a spot where to inject it.
How to overcome that? Every day it is getting more difficult to adminster (a vet is performing the injections, not me, but even he is getting a bit desperate)...

    • @curefip1545

It might be the way of injecting that caused the pain. Please make sure the angle and way of injecting are correct and not too deep until the muscle part.

I use a towel with ~4 inch long slit cut into the middle. Place the cat on the towel so that the slit will be positioned over the injection site when you wrap the cat. Then you can open the slit to create a skin tent and inject the medication.

    Guys, please help!
Today our vet said the medicine is no longer available. My cat has only received half of the required GS-441524 injections. I don't even know what to do now. Please, please share information on where to buy GS-441524. I am from Latvia, so it would be good if the medicine could be bought in Europe or if it could be delivered to Europe. 🙏🙏🙏
