NINJA FOODI | MIX & BAKE HOMEMADE BANANA NUT BREAD | NO BOWLS, PANS NEEDED | MY GADGET KITCHEN | 182
Hey Foodi Friends! I was playing in the kitchen again today and decided to see if I could bake homemade banana bread directly in the Foodi insert. This is my first time doing this, so bare with me. I was winging it when it came to cook time and temp, but it worked!
    Ingredients:
    4 very ripe bananas
    2 large eggs
    3 tbsp sour cream
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 stick very soft butter
    2 cups AP flour
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp kosher salt
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 cup chopped pecans
    Directions:
Start by mixing the wet ingredient directly in the Foodi insert. Add in dry ingredients and mix gently, don't over mix. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 min. Cover with foil, reduce heat to 250 degrees. After 30 min. of cook time, increase the heat back to 300 degrees and bake until toothpick comes out clean, an additional 20-30 min. Your total cook time will be 50-60 min. Let bread cool inside of the insert for 10 min. before transfering to a cooling rack.
***You can also try baking at 250 from the very beginning and see how that goes. Like I said, I have never done this before, so I was pretty much guessing at the cook time and temp.
Get out of the drive thru and get into the kitchen.

AWESOME! Who's got time for the other pans that others ask for? The foodi main pot is so slick this just slides right out! I added walnuts, raisins and shredded coconut... mmmmm! Thanks for the video!

Can I do this in the regular instant pot?

  • @DavidEstioco
    @DavidEstioco 3 года назад

You did mention this was your first time so there were a bunch of trial and error. Would you do it differently knowing it now? For instance, a foil on top baking at 300 for 40 minutes. Or would you do it the same as the video again

I want to try this but I am confused on the temps you kept changing up and down and then you covered after how long? Other than that it looks easy. Can you clear that up?

I did this although I mixed in a bowel set on 300 tried to cover like instructed but the aluminum raised to the top of the fan. Not cool.. don't advise. Kept checking on left in for almost an hour. Perfect. Tastes awesome. The trick is to check on it perioudicley.

Hi y’all! Has anyone tried baking this at 250• all the way through? I made it tonight. Thank you! But it was difficult for me to stay I on top of the different times and temperatures because the Foodie doesn’t have an alarm. Please and thank you ☺️

      Hey :) I do 20 mins on 325℉ bake.
Then add foil and do 40 mins on 325℉ bake.
Cooks all the way through and crisps the top with only one check.
