【Introduction】When Shi Yi (Played by Bai Lu), a sweet, low-key but talented voice actress, meets the elegant Zhou Shengchen (Played by Allen Ren), an oversea returnee chemistry professor, at the airport for the first time, they felt a sense of familiarity. In order to save his family's business, Zhou agreed to his mother's terms and proposed to Shi Yi , whom he had a crush on. During their time together, they started to fall for each other. I love the arthouse flavour to this production in that it doesn't just try to entertain but to actually show us all those little things that matters to normal people in daily life.

WenXing is the perfect example of just having good intentions aren't enough. She still hurt ShiYi despite her good intentions, so in the end karma got her and she died.
Her intention is if Shiyi's life is threatened, she hopes Chen will bring her far away from the family. She knows that if they are there with the family,their life will always be threatened.

Poor Zhau Ren. His timing of entry is so very awkward... This is the first time when Zhau Shen Chan got close with Shi Yi and was really iritated when Ren intrupted. He is so cute. Ren though very young acts like a kid here. They should really take care of him. ❤

In this drama, though, it was revealed that Ren was adopted. Maybe he is Uncle's child by his real wife but was adopted/ brought up by Chen's stepmom.

I've read that the male actor Allen Ren doesnt do a lot of kiss scenes (maybe because he is respectful to his real life wife, maybe another reason). But he is similar to a famous Indian cinema actor (Shahruk Khan) so I'm ok with it.

But, as with the top C-drama actors/actresses, their kissing scenes are rather chaste. I can imagine their contracts specify the number and type of kissing scenes they will have in any particular C-drama or film they make.
