Where do you even use rifles? I haven’t been able to pick one up or find any enemies with them. (FYI, I just finished my first case on vice if that’s why I haven’t come across them.) Edit: I finished the game so I know when you use them
Of all the firearms in this game my favorite is the Colt M1911A1. 45 Caliber and the best weapon against your enemies. I think the Browning Automatic Rifle strikes fear on your enemies. How Cole and Jack reload the Tommy Gun is unrealistic, they load a magazine but they forgot to rack the slide to load a round into the chamber.
It's an open bolt weapon it doesn't chamber anything until you pull the trigger. Bolt locks back on the last shot, so no need to pull the charging handle (unless you are using an older m1928 with drum mags as they didn't feature the bolt hold)
@@jacobpitts6846I believe the M1A1 Thompson was closed-bolt, had the developers used the earlier open-bolt model from the 20s the animation would've worked better.
@@AzelfandQuilava nope never was a closed bolt Thompson in major production. The new semi auto models today are converted to that to comply with federal law but the auto Thompson's are open bolt. You couldn't even make the late war M1 and M1A1 closed bolt if you wanted to, the firing pin is just a fixed nub machine to the bolt face (they completely eliminated the separate firing pin). So if you close the bolt, the firing pin is hitting the primer and the gun is firing
Just FYI, you can open the trunk of your detective or patrol car to grab a long gun. It's first shown in the Patrol desk during the bank robbery, but you can do it anytime when the game enters into combat
@@THEESilentMask44 Perhaps he picks it up during a heated shootout. Really, I'm just pissed that there's only one type of submachine gun in the game. And the game's lack of a large, varied selection of period-accurate guns in general.
can't believe there was no ping for the Garand.
They were the newest 1947 "pingless" models.
@@Agent1W Garands had fast internet connections in 1947 so no ping
@@DoctorDeath147 Ah yes! There were computers back then so it does make sense haha.

Good to see a Weapons Showcase of this Game, well done Detective!
L.A. Noire, la trilogía de Mafia y toda la saga de Grand Theft Auto, son de mis juegos favoritos.
The shotgun sound is bloody beautiful
Imagine being Phelps’ partner and wondering why the hell he’s shoot at nothing.
Stefan: enough with the games Phelps

M1 Thomson doesn't need it's charging handle to be racked up
In what missions you were able to use those guns? I really didn't see much combinations of those and I played the complete edition on pc

A different suit comes with a different pistol model I guess?
Yes
How do you get the other Pistols
Why no Grease Gun??
Daria Lega So then put one in with the definitive edition!!!
Why would a police detective have access to a military grade issued submachine gun?
