Did my first tests yesterday and today, and while true, this is not a 100%, it's still super impressive! Got some neat 8-11 SPD pieces for supports. Now my SW can finally outrun Sparkle yaaay 😄

Yeah, same. I haven’t had any success with this method at all. I was kind of hoping I just misunderstood something about how to use the spreadsheet, but I think it’s just snake oil.
It’s not guaranteed like I said. It’s up to you the player if you guys want to try it this way.

It worked for me once, a few weeks ago. Now it doesn’t, rolls are all over the place. Most notably my crit-crit-break piece rolled all into break… Also noticed you didn’t select the server/region.
ya i use the all data alot of the times. I added a timestamp sheet cause there is data bleed hours where you shouldnt be upgrading depending on your server. Also its highly suggested... which says on the left side of the summary page to do test strings before going hard leveling on your own main relics

Off topic but I think you should have one video where you simply allot time to upgrading relics, and showing a 'significant' margin of successes. I know you have Top 1% characters, but I think seeing it in real time might help push the fact so that content creators/viewers have reason to accept that it works? Dunno, just a random thought. It would certainly help me at least, as I am still trying to understand this.

im not sure am i doing smt wrong but ive tried doing this on 4 different occasions already and all of them hit the substats that the sheet says is least likely to hit. Am i understanding something wrong because if I am can somebody help me out. I do the method of rolling a new substat to reset the roll so that I will always roll the pattern '4x'. and use data for the day which Im rolling on. Yet it always somehow rolls on the least likely substat. Am I doing smt wrong cus i rly dont get it. I see it work in the vid plus many ppl saying it works so I must have smt wrong pls send help ;-; (also I did wait a few days to even a week before attempting again as I know there is the thing where ur acc is jus unlucky for a few days and the rolls will be unpredictable)
So there’s other factors we need to consider. The time you are rolling and what server you are on. Cause EU players have the most issues when it comes to this. Most of them just adapt and purposely just aim for the low %s and they started getting their relics leveled the way they wanted to after. I do mention this somewhat in the left of the summary page.

@@modniy9579 I just followed the strings when was able to roll the lines that I wanted on each piece. It's not manipulation when there's a predetermined path which they clearly is.

@@saiwaqa2573 As I said, you just had good luck. You didnt roll your desired stats because you "followed the string", you got desired stats because you had good luck, that's really just it.
I have watched every guide this channel makes and I even confirmed that I am doing the right thing by talking to a "professional" at relic manipulation. I followed the strings and no matter what, the game rolls into undesirable stats, I tried multiple times every week, never works. Bad UID? I might as well have bad UID forever then, because it NEVER works.
I have had terrible luck ever since I started following the guide. The difference in chances for each line is so less even in good days that it might as well be 25%. So, I guess I am going back to nah I'd gamble.
Ya, the sheet isnt great for everyone. especially if you just focus on the first %s. I myself dont trust the First %s unless i upgrade a bunch of times first so i know whats common for my own account for that day.
How does the data gathering work? For example, we are in 2.2 patch now, and the sheets don't have the 2.2 version
We will get there. We don’t record the first week of any patch. I said in the video for this first week we can still use 2.1 data.
We know there’s a random unexplained 100-200mbish update during this week. Which already happened. That’s when patterns change.
We start gathering data every 2nd week of any patch starting on Mondays and week in.

Hmmm have you by any chance looked at the timestamp sheet? The page after the summary page. Might help.
If I have a relic with 3 good substats and 1 bad substat, the game will always roll most into the 4th bad stat no matter what. The system is rigged to do that. You cant "manipulate" relic substats.
So what determines substat rolls? Substat rolls are based on the type of set you're rolling on. If you are rolling into an Attack set, you are less likely to roll into attack substats, or anything that supports attack like crit. Thats just how hoyoverse gets you with their trash relic system but everyone is still convinced it's "random"
Some accounts aren't affected by this BS, these are called the whitelisted accounts, like Bernard Pangan. You really can't manipulate substats, you just have good "luck"

Same time my own discord is already benefiting. They flex their relics all the time on discord that they got through the data.
What sad is you do know that CN players already do what I do on BiliBili right? Sooo I’m not even the first person that has done this. I came to the party with this kind of content 3 years late.

I tried to upgrade my acheron pieces yesterday (Wednesday) using the spreadsheet.
I noticed that for my account my pattern was mostly a 44XX , 422X , 423X.
Spent about 1h and 1500 blue fragment upgrading and ended up with a 70% Crit rate / 187% Crit dmg or 45% Crit rate / 241% Crit dmg Acheron.
I'm a bit disappointed that i ruined some good relic because i hit an unexpected line, but as a first timer i learned a lot.

@BigBoiPnoy there are relics, for example my boots and sphere where I don't have double crit and hitted the right stat only 2 time, so there is definitely a lot of room for improvements. I just need to understand better the strings so next time I don't have to spend so many blue fragments hahaha.
Ah so that that comes with time. The more you get used to it, the more you do it this way that is, it just gets easier to tell what to do.
I usually never comment, but I just had to comment to say this:
For anyone wondering, this exact same spreadsheet and data also works with Genshin artifacts. I used the same spreadsheet and tried it with a handful of artifacts on Genshin and every single artifact I tested was accurate to the spreadsheet numbers.
If I had to guess why hsr data also works in genshin, my best guess would be they share the same servers, and therefore have the same artifact/relic preset rolls each day? Correct me if I’m way off though.
I have some godly artifacts and relics now so thank you 🙏
Hmm interesting. Cause honestly we don’t record genshin data. We know it should work, cause players on CN already have been doing what we do for years. But on Genshin.
Yea, it’s very strange how hsr data can work on genshin as well. I was guessing the two games having the same servers might be the reason to why I can use this data on genshin and get accurate results, but I’m not too knowledgeable on how servers and backlog work so I’m not too sure how correct this is
Got special UID but I just did my upgrades in reverse. Got my Aventure built in a day. 4K DEF, 160 SPD, 52 CR, 180 CD. He uses full diver set and keel.

The 41? It’s just the default setting. Type the number in the bar and it’ll change.
@@BigBoiPnoy Yes, that's the one, but I don't know what it is used for. Is there an explanation somewhere in this or previous video that explains this? Say I enter 33 in the search bar, it will show 44 beside it, and I'm lost what the 44 is for. Sorry for the inconvenience 🙏
@@davistiadi it just converts your string. Cause all data is recorded as if 4xxx is your start. Type in 3 and it’ll convert the %s as if it were starting off the 3rd line as the first upgrade. Which is 3xxx. I do show this on this video after I explain 4xxxx

cool video will try it out but im just curious why your build is so much into crit damage vs. bring crit rate up (to the 1:2 ratio suggested on prydwen for example)
That’s nice for prydwen. But you have to consider team builds also. Cause I pair her unit units that cover for her lower crit rate. It’s basically 100% crit rate with the right units. Example being fu xuan and her own relic sets bonuses.

Ya. We don’t record data for the first week of a new patch. Gonna have to wait till 2 weeks in. That’s when we start having some data

Theres no actual way people really think rolling particular substats on a certain day is an actual strat..... and like what happens if it rains outside ? Do I get better chances ? :D

No that’s not what we do. We don’t force substats. We actually reverse engineer how the pseudo RNG works in the system. Which is determined by time and day. It’s server side pseudo RNG. You can’t program true RNG in any video game.
Great vid! Quick question: is it better to always upgrade twice first say 42xx then use the xx on the pieces u actually want or can you just start with the 2nd roll right away after getting a 4th sub? Also is it better to use your specific region or just all? Thanks!
I prefer the later ones so the xx. 3rd and 4th upgrades of the pattern. As for regions it’s up to the player. I use all data. But it’s always good to know what’s common for your region.
Hey just here to give another heads up to READ the doc. Don't be like me and waste resources. Specifically I just now realized that the sheet now says don't upgrade between 2am-9am(PST) because of data bleed. In the sheet before 2.0 I don't think it was there. I was upgrading like every 10 days between those times and I'm glad to see there was a reason for the discrepancies. Everyday felt like a bad UID day to me since things weren't adding up. I even went as far as making my own data sheet of like 50 artifacts upgraded to the 3rd upgrade to make my "own" sheet to see patterns. It somewhat worked but was so costly each time. I even had times that I noticed the pattern was changing mid upgrading progress. That data bleed was ruthless and lost me many good artifacts. The process was still better than blindly upgrading. Going to try again at a different time. Hope I could actually use the sheet now.
I want to apologize for the pain you went through. I wasn’t aware how much players needed timestamps until I was notified by the new players coming into the discord 3 weeks ago. I thought just the times on the left side of the summary page was good enough. My bad is all I can say….
I tried yesterday i got 4414 i was expecting to get 4323/4333/4322 because 43 was the highest yesterday im not sure why i got 44 alot yesterday

I didn't get one thing. How do you reset if you're lost on which one you are? Does relogging void it?
It’s on the white text that appears in screen… you can reset by adding a new substat to a different relic…
Relogging resets everything. Relogging takes away any string you are on.
And if you added a substat before that, your substats will re-align to filtered formation…
You have to keep track of which lines are upgraded during the process. Write it down or have your phone(careful cause you can lose connection to the game this way) notepad/pc notepad open and type it in there.
When you lose connection in any way to the servers, you lose your pattern string you had before you were logged out.
Thanks for the continued explanations. I have a question about upgrading new stat lines though. For instance, if say a 3 star piece only has one stat line, and you upgrade it to get the second stat line, if you are already on a string, does that count as forcing it to 2, or is that starting a new string (ie 42xx or 4 2xxx)?
It’s automatically 2xxx cause you added a substat to the 2nd line. From there you can switch to a relic that has 4 lines of substats and continue the predicted pattern string

but seriously tho, this has been a real help to me, got a 9 speed cdmg body, 3 rolls into cdmg sub sphere, and 1 roll into rate and 2 into cdmg for rope, it feels like a hidden miracle

Do you switch your region to america on the spreadsheet or do you just left it as "all". cuz i don't know if i should change it to my region or not
Honestly that part is more personal preference, I’ve been using everyone’s data and just adjusting to what I’ve been seeing on personal upgrades through test strings before upgrading my main relics
i am so extremely "unlucky", I need to try this and take a look at that sheet when I wanna upgrade xD gotta farm more relics first again tho i am also unlucky with the drops xD but thank you for all that data record and that sheet xD my chars are not good enough for me to be satisfied and i have A LOT of trash stats, so thanks to this, I might be able to roll better ones xD

Theoretically yes. But if you have the reverse uno day when you get the bottom 2 outcomes as your commons in Your own test string phase. It’s a different story.
So manipulating relics needs ton mat exp and relic shit samples
Basically. If you don’t want to mess up your relics you got lucky with on drops. Same time you don’t really lose much if you use your relics you upgraded for some test strings as exp on the main relic you level later on. Sooo up to you if you want to do it this way. Especially if you want to snipe single substats. Which many users have been doing on my discord

Ya you can switch relics to another relic that has 4 lines of substats already to keep your pattern string going.

It resets every patch. Cause the server goes down during those periods and resets rerandomizing the results.
Mine have been ok and some good. It feels like its a 50/50 between the one you want and the 2nd best option. It was rare that it upgraded the lowest % line for me.
I was rolling a relic for break effect. I got only 1 into break effect and every single time the 2nd best option was crit dmg. So 3 went into it.
So I have a usless 25% crit dmg and 11.6% break effect Theif relic that i cant use. Maybe in the future itll be usefull. Its useless to me bc i already have 11.6 break effect on all of my pieces for all 4 of my break effect support builds. They all also have 2, 4, or 5 speed aswell so its not usefull to me.
I also rolled some 9% crit rate pieces which is decent but i would HEAVILY recommend this meathod mostly for Crit substat fishing. Sometimes Speed but its rough to fish for 1 stat over 2
Yea it’s hard period if you are just aiming for 1 substat. It is what it is. I rather do this than go all full RNG blindly

It's a massive help. I mean rng isn't exactly fully random right? Haha. There are always patterns.
@@Helperishere yep you are correct. That’s how all rng is programmed in video games. Sadly for rng in gachagames in general it’s server side rng. And we can’t see it. Recording it is the best we can do.

Just need to make sure, I'm an Australian (UTC+10) playing on the American servers, this means that 12pm on a Thursday translates to the weekday being Wednesday since its still Wednesday 10pm in New York right? and 2pm Thursday translates to Thursday weekday since it ticks over?
Correct. Same time if it hits 2pm for you that means it’s data bleed hours for America servers…. Bro that’s gonna suck cause of your own time zone. Basically if you want most accurate data you would want to upgrade between 12am - 12pm your time.
Meaning, as an example, 12am-12pm Thursday would mean you use Wednesday data at those times.

Is there a way to know the exact time and the day of the week? Cuz I'm playing on Europe server, but I live in America, so I'm very confused about this.
Oh no…. The timestamps won’t help then. Ummm wells just look up your current time on google, ask google to convert your current time to EU London time and work off that.
I’ve been trying my best to follow the strategy and it really hasn’t been working in my favor. I’m trying not to give up because I believe in what you say,that the numbers don’t lie, but really my luck must suck so bad if I fail the 2nd upgrade (getting third/fourth most likely) more than I win it
There’s slight luck still involved. But ya the 2nd upgrade is mehish as data grows. The 3rd and 4th upgrade are actually more accurate surprisingly

I do say it in the video. Less tests but for some reason it’s more accurate. Same time it’s a pattern string. Only upgrading for the 2nd upgrade defeats the purpose of a pattern string.

I don’t think star rail devs are stupid enough to not properly implement a rng system.
It’s not that. It’s more how much are they willing to spend for “pseudo-rng” on an artifact/relic system upgrade system while they always advertise visuals and characters/gameplay for a game? That’s nice that it’s a billion dollar company. But let’s be real, what makes them more money?
Also I’m actually not the first player that’s done it this way, there’s a group of Chinese players on bilbili(China RUclips) that’s been doing this for artifacts on genshin for years now. I just didn’t know this till other players told me.

The thing is HSR's relic system does not use "rng" where its equally likely to roll into each substat.
What happens is that you have a higher chance to roll certain substats on a relic based on the type of relic set.
Example: If the relic set is attack, then there is a lower chance to roll attack substats.
-if the relic set is HP, then you will rarely roll into HP substats.
Thats how HSR gets you, forcing you to believe you have "bad luck" and continue to play the game much longer to try and get that one perfect relic.
I think mostly understood everything, about 80%ish? I honestly don't understand how like 43 is translated to 24 or something.
43 and 21 are the same pattern movement just depending on the first upgrade. I do explain this on the previous video how we calculate that. Don’t think people want to watch a 30 minute video on full explanations of all relic manipulations though so 🤷♂️

Oh boy…. Ok let’s do simple math then,
Take 4 of that 43. And since we are starting from the 2nd line. Let’s do this
4 - 2 = 2(the second line)
Then for the 3 in that 43
3 - 2 = 1
So cause of taking off 2 from each number in the 43 pattern you get 21
Say your pattern was 2143. With that same mindset, to translate that string as if it were starting from the 4th line as the first upgrade instead of the 2nd line.
2 + 2 = 4
1 + 2 = 3
4 + 2 = 2(you go past 4 it loops back to 1)
3 + 2 = 1
So with this knowledge
2143 and 4321 are the same pattern string just depending on the first line that was upgraded.
This is easier to understand to beginners.
Well your other is easy to understand as well but you need to listen carefully.

That has nothing to do with luck.
The relics are just configured to have a lower chance to roll into speed. Its done on purpose by hoyoverse, why does nobody get this??

I feel it’s good to be aware of your region. Just in case. But same time I use all data on all my sessions and it’s fine for me.

Yep. I’ve been using that clear time theory for awhile. Been getting double crit pieces a lot. Also my own resources is cause I hoard relics. Turn them into frags. Then farm again. I also don’t upgrade a lot. I use some for data. But stop if I see it’s a bad day. I don’t insta +15. I use data to roll Better saving more resources over time. There’s a lot of reasons 🤣

When checking for rates, is there any reason to narrow down to regional results? Or is it just fine to use the global rates for the larger sample size?
For the rates i usually use the ALL data, cause i want to know all possible outcomes. putting it as your region might help narrow down your decision making is all.

Well all data has to go through us(me and the discord mods) to get approval to be recorded onto the sheet. So you gotta send data to discord.
I didn’t ask this awhile back, and I haven’t found it on the doc yet, but:
*has anyone recorded the 4th line substat chances?* (like the chances of crit dmg, crit rate, or atk% to be added to a 3 line relic? )
I know that relic percents are recorded, but I haven’t seen if the rates have, and tbh, it would help lessen the trash rate of decent 3 line relics if possible.
The moderators of discord do look into this. There’s no consistent answer. Cause it seems they are on to something on a patch. Then the next patch it just goes down the drain. So ya….
@@BigBoiPnoy ah, that explains a bit: tbh, really do wish we can predict that, b/c if we could manipulate what is being added, it takes away some of the weight of relic manipulation, gives the relic more stats to roll into, and in-turn, more space for the RNG to flop when it does.
@@BigBoiPnoy I also wanted to ask: does a substat upgrade go past 3? Since so far, I’ve only been able to get at max 3, and never 4 and beyond, with all attempt either rolling into it’s next guaranteed line-stat, and into that’s next guarenteed.
On a a line with high 4/2 line chances, (29/27), it kept running into line 2, which was good, but once it got to 3, it went straight into the lowest line probability, which was odd, because the next, and most probably line was 2, 4 and 3, but it went straight for 1, like it had a built in system, and this isn’t just a one off;
Out of 5 relics I’ve manipulated to 3 upgraded substates, all of them do this, so idk why.
If this is just a me thing, that would be good to know, but it’s weird it’s happened so many times.
No you are not the only one. It’s weird. We noticed this with some of the discord members also. The ones using data as we speak actually noticed it. Umm I wouldn’t know how to answer this properly yet. But it’s like it’s seems people that have common rates get low ends on what’s not common if they get it. Same time noticed it’s been rare to see 442 multiple times in a row. Like say you hit it twice. It’ll be either 441 or 443 if you hit 44 a 3rd time. It’s weird.

So basically it goes on fours... every time you reach fourth upgrade it resets right? How am I going to know when it's going to reset if I didn't keep in mind all my previous upgrades? Also, this "forcing" the probabilities is indeed a wonderful thing, wherr can I find this spreadshit?
the only thing you can really "manipulate" is the factor of forcing the line you want to start from. from there you ride the predicted predetermined upgrade path that the server gives you.
yep it goes in 4s, you have to keep in mind what your previous upgrades were during the session. if you Disconnect from the game your patterns from the server are no more. you would have to start over again when you boot the game back up.
@@BigBoiPnoy for example, I have a reluc with crit rate on fourth line. In Eau server once you go 3 times 4, it's basically sure you go at 4 again (just brainstorming) so what I'm doing is upgrading a different relic with only 3 lines to get a 4, for a total of 3 times, so the first time I upgrade the good relic it goes on the crit on fourth line. Then repeat this process. Right?

i have been using relic manipulation for the past few weeks and have gotten some pretty good results(EU server),but there is one thing that has been consistenly different from compared to the the theory and that is the string conversion and the more i think about it the less sense it makes to me.If i understand correctly,lets asume we have this string 431341,and we force the 4th line so the next hit would be 3,if instead you force the 3rd line the theory suggests you should get 2 cause that is the equivalent to 43,but to me that never happens and between forcing 2,3 or 4th line the string conversion NEVER obeys anything and not just on one but multiple days and unless when i am forcing on the 3rd in this example, it moves me to a different string than the example for some reason here it would be 31 instead of 32.I want to know if there is something i am missing or any plausible explanation for this
honestly this one i havent tested enough. i use more 4xxx patterns. i only use the 3xxx and 2xxx sometimes. mainly to show examples
I'm in EU too and did upgrades with 4liners and 3liners.
My patterns were 44 and 42 , when I switched with 3liners I got 33 and 31, the expected ones.
I did 2 strings as a test, cause I noticed that while helping my friend he had a 44 and 42 as expected, but 32 and 34 as 3liners. So maybe for some accounts the string switches for some reason?
Me and the mods are thinking more it might depends on every other hour where you will see strings are swapping. We would need to keep tabs on that now though. We’ll see what happens as we go.

There’s slight difference. But for me it’s not too much that it’ll affect my own rolls. You are free to use either your server alone data or all combined.
Hi, I've been having some trouble and was hoping you could help me out. I've been using your data for around 2 weeks with great success, thanks a lot. But for the past 3 days when I input a single number into the StringSearchBar, the only thing that changes is the Formation. The Count nor the % changes and give the same data no matter what number I type. Any idea where I'm going wrong/ what happened?

7:18 one question that has been bugging me, how did you manage to get 53 relic exps from upgrading to full?? I rarely get 1 or 2 exp and 3 or 4 stardusts when i full send any relic
Depends where your exp on the relic is compared to how much is needed to max out the relic.

It’s not guaranteed to work. You also gotta consider your server. Your data bleed times of your server, data bleed means you get patterns from 2 different days at certain hours. The funny thing is, like I said in the video, the %s are there yes, doesn’t mean you won’t still hit the least possible outcome with bad luck.

How many test rolls to know whether I've been Special UID'd for the day?
Honestly noticed on my end that I was SUIDed again within 4 tests strings on my end for this video. 42 twice. Then hit 41 on my main rolls. Adapted and kept going.
special uid is just another term for "bad luck"
although there is no luck in this game. Some accounts are blacklisted (special UID) to have worse "luck" while some others are "whitelisted" to have better "luck"
If the blacklisted players complain that the substat rates are rigged to give only bad results. Then the whitelisted players will disagree, telling the blacklisted players that they simply have "bad luck", but it aint luck, its just hoyoverse configuring the relics to roll only into the bad stats and not the good stats.

I spent a week trying to follow the steps and I thought I was doing it wrong or I was just unlucky since is not 100% guaranteed, but it didn't work for my friends either. We got several god rolls but not because of your magic trick but because of farming so much, it was a matter of time.
At the end of the day, the bases are a few constants that you say you got from collecting data, but we don't really know if you made that up or not.
About the ppl who believe it works for them, it's like astrology, if you try hard enough to believe something, you will eventually find "evidence" to back you up without considering all the times it didn't work.

We didn’t make those numbers up for one thing. That came from all the players recording data. We are not biased. We record everything(also as long as the player we get the data from is trusted cause we also fear players that try to sabotage the data)
From your own programming perspective you yourself should know that RNG in any video game is not truely random. How I do things also on any of my videos I’m also learning and paying attention to other things. Time and how many strings I’m doing etc. It was discovered recently(like literally a month so far) that your own rolls are actually connected to time. Like RNG time blocks. I even did it on another persons account. Which I am going to be doing from now on for future videos.
The main thing I need to ask you is are you even paying attention to your own rolls. Or are you just hoping the sheet just works magically for you? You can not go in blindly thinking it’ll just work. You need to see what’s even common for you then work off that. Hence why I always even do my own test strings. It’s so I can see which lines I need to be aiming for cause that’s what’s common for my account.
I personally think it’s stupid to think if it even works or not. What we do is just record data we see and we show you everything we record. It’s not a matter of it works or not overall. It’s showing that bro, It’s not truely all 25% each line like everyone thinks it is.
Take a step back and analyze everything my man. I love the skepticism. We need it. So we can keep doing what we want openly. But common sense programmers regardless should already know True RNG cannot exist in any video game. It’s all PRNG that is predetermined, All you need to do is find where you can exploit it.
