I was the Old Town beat copper from 1996 to 2001 and I used to enjoy telling people stuff like this after endeavouring to find out as much about my beat as possible. Keep em coming!
I love your videos I used to play there and go swimming in pool my dad used to be Tommy coopers Gardens we was a big famy in old town (marchant) I still class old town as home as a child
When I was about 8 years old, I read about silkworms. I read that the silk they produce was very expensive and that silkworms lived on mulberry trees. So with my 8 year old imagination, I thought I only had to go and find some silkworms to get rich. I asked my parents if there were any mulberry trees in Eastbourne, and they told me there was one in Motcombe Gardens. There was a mulberry tree there, but unsurprisingly, I couldn’t find a single silkworm. 60 years later I wonder if there is still a mulberry tree there?

@@geoffreyparsons4353 Many thanks! Nice to know that some things don't change.
