Hey, just a note the term "spirit animal" is a significant Native American cultural experience that is not exactly shared by Polynesian cultures. Although we have something similar. In Hawaiian we call them Aumakua, and they are considered guardians and/or spirits one would turn to for guidance. Aumakua often come in the form of animals, rays, honu (turtles), io (hawks), etc. They are often seen as protectors, and revered highly like family. Families often also share aumakua, for example, one family would be protected by the same aumakua. So, although similar in that the beliefs center around animals of significance, aumakua are not exactly the same as Native American "spirit animals". Also, out of respect for Native American cutlure, a lot of people are trying to move away from using the term "spirit animal" so loosely and without the full in-depth understanding of what a "spirit animal" is. I wrote a comment about this a little bit earlier.(the aumakua part, not the spirit animal) I wont go into depth here, but my conclusion was that even though it makes sense for her "spirit animal" to be a turtle, I believe that her aumakua would be the ray, as it makes more sense in the Hawaiian legends and belief systems. Um... kind of. An aumakua is an animal which protects you, but it cannot be "summoned" upon. It is passed down through the family line, and aumakuas are believed to be the incarnate of your ancestors. They are real, tangible, creatures that are looking over you and trying to guide you. At least, that was my understanding...

I have a theory that the wolves in the live action beauty and the beast are the girls in the white dresses that danced with the prince prior to the enchantment . They managed to leave the castle before turning into living objects but maybe the enchantress turned them into wolves to help prod on the end of the curse. The wolves are there to lead Maurice to the castle and ultimately have belle arrive there. When belle comes they don't chase her to the castle because there is no need to. She's already going to the castle. Maurice doesn't have a problem with the wolves in getting back to the village. When he brings gaston and lefou the wolves can be heard but don't come. Their howls are to keep gaston away until the time is right. When belle runs away, she is attacked by wolves because she can't leave before at least one has feelings for the other. When the beast releases her she doesn't encounter any wolves on her return because she will return. When the villagers come to storm the castle they don't encounter any beasts either because it all will lead to the curse being broken. Also when the wolves attacked the beast, it was to push them together. As well as that, I would say that when the wolves attacked the beast it was more than pushing them together. Their attack on the beast was distinctly more aggressive than their "attack" on Belle. My theory would be that the girls were mad at the beast for their predicament; his selfishness and vanity turned them into wolves. So when he joined the fight, they unleashed their anger on him. However they were getting too aggressive. If you recall, one wolf jumps him from behind and the beast throws it off onto the ice. The wolf is very quick to get back on its feet, snarling. Then the beast roars at it and it gets an odd expression on its face, whimpers and runs off. The wolves were overdoing the fighting and when the beast roared it reminded the wolves that it was just to bring belle and the beast together to break the curse, not to kill him. Ashamed of their actions and anyway having fulfilled that task, they ran off. Also, when that last wolf attacked the beast, he was already injured, thus insuring Belle would pity the beast (as well as feel grateful). So that last wolf should not have continued fighting since the mission was accomplished. Again, the beast's roar reminded it that its whole purpose was to help lead to the curse being broken and not for petty revenge.
In Lilo & Stitch in the end credits there are photos that they had taken after the movie took place. One of the photos has Stitch holding a leaf to protect a turtle and its baby. Just like when Moana was attracted to the ocean. To go along with this, David has a necklace that has what looks exactly like Maui's Fish hook. I noticed this after watching Lilo & Stitch more than 25 times. Ben & J I hope you found this useful. =D
In the adult world we call this 20- life. Wolves are very heirarchy based but utilitarian driven. To prevent a conflict between alphas and ensure future survival, they don't maim or "bully" - they kill. Leaving a crippled wolf in the pack is not what's best for the pack. It's dangerous. The wolves would not have intentionally caused the infirmity, they would have just killed the wolf that had the potential to challenge the alpha so that the pack remains stable.
I've always thought it was a sea turtle... Strength, curiosity, yet hardened determination. It also relates to the sea, one of the more harmless, but graceful. (Plus she saved a TURTLE as a toddler, which won over the heart of Te Fiti) So that's why I assumed that, and I guess that I was right.
Turtles aren't drawn to the water. They're drawn to the moon and its reflection off the water- this is why turtle hatcheries near human lights so often have issues with turtles going the wrong way, thinking the lights are the moon/waves. Similarly on cloudy nights, turtle hatchlings have difficulty navigating to the water at all and are scooped up by predators at higher rates. But yeah that's semantics, def agree with the theory :P

I was watching Moana and I spotted an Easter egg!! When all nature life is being restored after the heart is returned, a flower sprouts and it is the flower from tangled. The flower from a drop of sun!!
The lead supervising animator for Moana, Amy Sneed, worked on Tangled as well, so I'm sure it's no accident that it's there! Although she didn't get to do too much of the animation this time around, she still did get to work on some scenes, so I'm sure she put her little easter eggs in where she could!

NatsBones Hei Hei just comic relief? Seriously? Hei Hei was basically the entire plot of Moana in a nutshell. The theme of Moana was about finding your own way. You don't have a destiny, you make your own destiny (aka "The call isn't out there at all it's inside me"). It's about following your instincts and listening to what's inside of you. An external destiny doesn't make you who you are, you make you who you are. I mean, Moana basically says "Screw you and your choice ocean, take back the heart of te fiti, you don't tell me what to do!" Then a short song later says "Actually, screw you even more, I control my own destiny and I'm going to take the heart of te fiti back not because of my destiny but because I say so!" Hei Hei is the embodiment of the whole point: don't rely on help from the outside, rely on yourself, look inside yourself for your path, not to others. Hei Hei is (usually) completely useless, and didn't serve as a crutch to Moana, further encouraging her to look inside herself. Of course he did save the day at the end, saving the heart (and basically Moana's life too), but the point still remains that he embodied the idea of looking inside yourself and not relying on others to help you find your path.

A silent person that often hides and runs could be a rabbit.. or a hare.. in my case i would be a hyena cuz i have lots of things in common with them and i have always had a certain attraction to them.. wanting to go to the hyenas in the zoo the first...and most of all personality a good example : if someone hurts a friend or family i will defend them... if a pack member gets hurt amongst hyenas the others will stand up for them and protect them. What's the link with the blue necklace the grandma gives moana? It's obviously made to hold the heart of tefiti (sorry if misspelled) and she passes it on to moana to help with the mission but they also show the ancestors with it in the beginning. During "We Know the Way" the chief passes it to the next master wave finder after they develop the village so how does the grandmother end up with it? Also, in the same song they talk about maneuvering the wind and sea so could they have come across Maui (because he is demigod of both) before his banishment? Then found out later on when the heart goes missing because it destroyed their previous island, try to restore it but fail and give up voyaging because it became too dangerous. AND how did the creatures get to the realm of monsters if the legend in the beginning said they were all searching for the heart? Were they sent there, if so by who? And can they escape? It was easy for moana and Maui to get in and out but are the monsters trapped?

I think that There are either three necklaces, or something.. Deeper. The ancestors obviously pass the original necklace, with the shark teeth and locket where moana outs the heart, onto the next chief, like how a king passes the crown to his heir. The next necklace is Tui's, and I believe it is the Chief's Necklace, and he passes it down to Moana at some point. It has the same shark teeth, but no locket. However, Moana's grandmother has a necklace, the third necklace, that has the locket. What if, when voyage was banned, they took the locket off the necklace and Moana's grandmother got it? Dig into that.

The only issue is that we know a patronus can change. Snape's changed into a doe, but we don't know what his animagus form would have been. If he had become one before his patronus changed, then his animal form would have stayed the same.

Ron Ja, McGonnagal's patronus is a cat (like her animagus) and Sirius never casts a patronus, though we can assume that it most likely would be a dog, just like how Lupin's is a wolf. Patronuses usually have the same form as your animals so I'm going to say that they are spirit animals in two different forms. (For the record, most people think that you can choose your animagus, but you don't.)

I think my spirit animal would be a deer too... if you couldn't already tell... Anyway, the description you gave kinda feels like me. I've also more connected to deer because they are usually shy animals, and they freeze when they see car headlights, getting the well-known phrase "deer caught in the headlights", meaning freezing when scared or surprised, which I do a lot. (Deer actually freeze because the light makes them temporarily blind but that's beside the point.) To go further, tufted deer, which I based my profile picture off of, are usually solitary or found in pairs, which is also true for me. I either prefer being alone or being with only one other person. And the males have pronounced canines, which I had growing up. I mean, they were just kinda big and not actual tusks, but still. (I can tell I'm just ranting on and I probably sound like a huge nerd right now. Sorry for the wall of text. I just love deer.)

I've always thought it was a sea turtle...
Strength, curiosity, yet hardened determination. It also relates to the sea, one of the more harmless, but graceful. (Plus she saved a TURTLE as a toddler, which won over the heart of Te Fiti)
So that's why I assumed that, and I guess that I was right.
Turtles aren't drawn to the water. They're drawn to the moon and its reflection off the water- this is why turtle hatcheries near human lights so often have issues with turtles going the wrong way, thinking the lights are the moon/waves. Similarly on cloudy nights, turtle hatchlings have difficulty navigating to the water at all and are scooped up by predators at higher rates. But yeah that's semantics, def agree with the theory :P

NatsBones Hei Hei just comic relief? Seriously? Hei Hei was basically the entire plot of Moana in a nutshell. The theme of Moana was about finding your own way. You don't have a destiny, you make your own destiny (aka "The call isn't out there at all it's inside me"). It's about following your instincts and listening to what's inside of you. An external destiny doesn't make you who you are, you make you who you are. I mean, Moana basically says "Screw you and your choice ocean, take back the heart of te fiti, you don't tell me what to do!" Then a short song later says "Actually, screw you even more, I control my own destiny and I'm going to take the heart of te fiti back not because of my destiny but because I say so!" Hei Hei is the embodiment of the whole point: don't rely on help from the outside, rely on yourself, look inside yourself for your path, not to others. Hei Hei is (usually) completely useless, and didn't serve as a crutch to Moana, further encouraging her to look inside herself. Of course he did save the day at the end, saving the heart (and basically Moana's life too), but the point still remains that he embodied the idea of looking inside yourself and not relying on others to help you find your path.

What's the link with the blue necklace the grandma gives moana? It's obviously made to hold the heart of tefiti (sorry if misspelled) and she passes it on to moana to help with the mission but they also show the ancestors with it in the beginning. During "We Know the Way" the chief passes it to the next master wave finder after they develop the village so how does the grandmother end up with it? Also, in the same song they talk about maneuvering the wind and sea so could they have come across Maui (because he is demigod of both) before his banishment? Then found out later on when the heart goes missing because it destroyed their previous island, try to restore it but fail and give up voyaging because it became too dangerous. AND how did the creatures get to the realm of monsters if the legend in the beginning said they were all searching for the heart? Were they sent there, if so by who? And can they escape? It was easy for moana and Maui to get in and out but are the monsters trapped?

I think that There are either three necklaces, or something.. Deeper. The ancestors obviously pass the original necklace, with the shark teeth and locket where moana outs the heart, onto the next chief, like how a king passes the crown to his heir. The next necklace is Tui's, and I believe it is the Chief's Necklace, and he passes it down to Moana at some point. It has the same shark teeth, but no locket. However, Moana's grandmother has a necklace, the third necklace, that has the locket. What if, when voyage was banned, they took the locket off the necklace and Moana's grandmother got it? Dig into that.

The only issue is that we know a patronus can change. Snape's changed into a doe, but we don't know what his animagus form would have been. If he had become one before his patronus changed, then his animal form would have stayed the same.

Ron Ja, McGonnagal's patronus is a cat (like her animagus) and Sirius never casts a patronus, though we can assume that it most likely would be a dog, just like how Lupin's is a wolf. Patronuses usually have the same form as your animals so I'm going to say that they are spirit animals in two different forms. (For the record, most people think that you can choose your animagus, but you don't.)

Heh, heh... please don't say tranny. Like, that's a word many trans people hear before being threatened, or assaulted. (Seriously I've only heard that word from people that are either transphobic or don't know it's a slur and I'm gonna guess you're the latter. It kinda freaks me and other trans people out since we don't know if the person saying it hates us or not.)
I think my spirit animal would be a deer too... if you couldn't already tell...
Anyway, the description you gave kinda feels like me. I've also more connected to deer because they are usually shy animals, and they freeze when they see car headlights, getting the well-known phrase "deer caught in the headlights", meaning freezing when scared or surprised, which I do a lot. (Deer actually freeze because the light makes them temporarily blind but that's beside the point.) To go further, tufted deer, which I based my profile picture off of, are usually solitary or found in pairs, which is also true for me. I either prefer being alone or being with only one other person. And the males have pronounced canines, which I had growing up. I mean, they were just kinda big and not actual tusks, but still. (I can tell I'm just ranting on and I probably sound like a huge nerd right now. Sorry for the wall of text. I just love deer.)
