  • Recently I had to machine a part from multiple sides. I decided to make a video of my process on a simpler model to maybe help some people do the same. During this process I also made a modification to the machine. The files for my CNC router have been updated.
Check out the playlist for this project: • 3D Printed CNC Router ...
I have recently migrated from Thingiverse and Thangs over to Printables: www.printables.com/de/model/3...
I pointed out some problems with this machine. Obviously there are a few more but I didn't include them as I didn't find them significant enough.

Hope you are enjoying your summer break! Once again thank you for showing how to machine a part by turning it over on the same axis. Very useful method. Also the redesign of the spindle mount made a big difference. Looking forward to see you cut aluminium plates. Oh I forgot, the animations are great! Keep up the good work.

The words passion = patience come to mind watching this; he did the whole thing, decided he needed to fix his cnc router and then did it all again! you can see watching this the g-code is wrong in places; not the creators fault perhaps, but watching it the cut pattern it waisting time and energy.

@@SirKuhnheronot a very effective vacuum, hardly picking up anything. Check the filters on the air exhaust side, likely blocked. Or blockage on intake side.

Might do that in the future. But for now I'm done upgrading my CNC. I'd rather actually use it for something :)

Why not just square up the stock with the CNC and then use edge guides and clamps for a solid reference point for the underside op?

That works great too. There are often multible good solutions :)

you'd rather put the location pins as far as possible from each other to gain precision

That is absolutely right. I think it doesn't matter for the part I made in the video because it's so small. I will keep that in mind. Thanks.
