See mechanical is a good branch. Thapar is known for it's mechanical. If that's what you want and if you have the money then go with it. Also if you can upgrade then it would be great :)
I am a first year student at thapar in the ENC branch, I already know a bit of Python from what I have learned in class 11 and 12. Will I be taught a programming language in college or should I continue studying Python on my own( if so, from which source would you recommend)

And recently is a syllabus bhi revamp hua hai As for the job application r&d mein iski ho skti hai Govt ho jaye like drdo to baat hi kuch aur But still ye abhi mechanical dept. Ke under aati hai And India mein quite less renowned hai. Even I am interested for mechatronics and hope to pursue it in MS

bhaiya 3 question ka answer chahiya tha 1. jee ka basis paar branch allocation kabh hoghi (estimated date) 2. kya in person counselling ka hone ka chances hai aur kabh (estimated date) 3.in person counselling mai voh pcm ka scores refer karta hai branch allocation ka liya ??
PCM counseling toh kabka nikal chuka, in-person counseling possible if seats are left vacant, And jee counseling not yet announced, but it will in the future

i got enc with 95 percentage pcm but cutoff for coe is 95.33 (Matter of 1 mark) so will i be able to get it in spot round as people are saying that spot round is only on basis of jee so pls pls pls confirm is there a chance or not
You would be taught everything in the first year, don't worry about that. Rest if you want to learn coding you can watch my previously video on coding courses :)

The average package of coe is 10-12 lpa whereas for enc is 8-10 lpa. For cse there is no placements yet because it was introduced few time back only :)
