The one consistent thing about your videos (whether walking or driving), is your choice of routes. Always something interesting along the journey. Great job man.
Glad you like them! A lot of thought goes into each and every route, want to get as wide a variety and as many different countryside environments as I can. And fortunately the countryside really does have so much to offer!
The most 'perfect' English countryside I have seen (and I have seen almost everywhere,) was/is in Shropshire. So, if you ever come here check out Shropshire.
Hello! 🌞 Roadtrip!! That was so enjoyable! Nice to be a passenger and see all the greenery and scenic views! I especially like seeing the old buildings and the neighborhoods as we go by. Thanks Dave! 🦋
Great video, I really enjoyed the trip. I didn't know whereabouts in Sheffield you'd started from, but when you approached the junction with the A57 Manchester Road I immediately recognised the church. In the 1960s my then girlfriend studied at Sheffield university and she had digs at the house next to the church. Happy days.
Thank you for the video, the English countryside is so pretty, I think I saw heather growing along the hills, so beautiful, and it looks like gasoline is cheaper than the US , it’s about $2.60 gal for regular , stay safe xoxo 🇺🇸
Yes, Lots of heather up in the hills Monica, although its past it's peak a bit now, losing it's sharp purple colour. Gas isn;t to pricey now and seems to have been relatively stable for the past year now which is nice..
Video got a little messed up at the end, on the snake pass then Glossop, then snake pass, then Glossop, then on the road to Charlesworth. I went to the School in Charlesworth just a little further up the road from when the video stopped. I was in the newsagents once when Ron Atkinson the then Man Utd manager walked in 🤣 that was a long time ago
@@DavesWalks Not to worry, loving the drive video nether the less. I’m learning to drive at the age of 53 (test in less than two weeks) and I’m hoping to cover some miles on my own. It’s great watching your videos of places I know from years ago and only Rhyl has changed. Pity you didn’t drive through Abergele and past the castle that was used in I’m a celebrity get me out of here
Such a desolate part of the Peak District just south of the B29 crash site. I can't imagine walking that as part of the Pennine Way. Very boggy, I hear.
@@dancleasby151 Quite the editing blunder from me there! I assume I must of been right distracted to not have noticed it until after it was live, unfortunately I can't fix it now as once the file is uploaded I remove it as the files are to large to keep.

Lovely lush green and heather-y drive. Not been over the Snake in a few years so it was quite nostalgic!
something about the english countryside makes it very magnetic. hope to spend some time there someday.
Thank you, I do agree!

Love listening to this through headphones - the gentle rumbling puts me to sleep.

There's is a lot more impressive views than that in the UK.
@@blackporscheroadster6415 Yep, snowdonia, Glencoe, lots of roads in the lake district!
Brilliant video as always. I did this drive on my way from Sheffield to Holyhead in Wales. Very enjoyable :)

That was my regular route to gatecrasher years ago.. memories 😊
Very beautiful.

Those red hills are glorious.
Great view 💚
Great videos thanks for sharing
Glad you like them Niall!😊
Hola , quiero preguntar , en las carreteras no hay postes de luz ❓
Sí, no todos los caminos están iluminados con farolas, especialmente en el campo.
De noche te lo recomiendo no ❗jajaja
Take a right turn at 18:30, signed Derwent Valley Dams and you will come to the Dam used to train for the Dambusters.
Ah yes! Filmed a walk around Derwent Dam not too long ago, I want to go back and catch it when the water is cascading over the top!

I remember when petrol / gas was £0:30 per gallon, not £1:30 per litre.
Love the driving videos!
Glad you like them! Aiming for the last Sunday of the month to always be a driving video! :)
@@DavesWalks Sounds great, I look forward to seeing more of England!
Love the blue gates.

Yeah unfortunately it was a mistake I somehow didn't spot until it was too late to fix.

Beautiful area.
One side of the road moors andt the other side rich green farming land.
If I had a pound for the number of time I had driven this exact route, I ‘d be well off.

It is a place on my maybe list, one for summer I think when there is little rain.
@@DavesWalks Oh, and it looks like that missing segment appears around the 41 minute and 30 second mark.

Well It's definitely my error there and not the camera that until now I thought it was. 😅 I shall be much more vigilant going forward!
@@DavesWalks Doesn't bother me! Just wanted to let you know. :)
