I did the mission also with the tank but without cheat codes, I take the tank in the mission Sir, Yes Sir save it in my garage than go to the mission with the tank. This is some precious information I am giving here :)))
You can get the tank from Fort baxter when you collect hidden packages, there's no military in sight in this mission. First get Lance stuck in the wall, then get and use the tank to escape and fend off the 4 pursuers driving comets.
I actually went in with the sea sparrow and held down the trigger then just spazzed spinning the block on them until they were mostly all dead then avoided the entire chase.
I did it with no cheat. It's easy. Get police heli. Go to club, start mission, fly to the place, park out back, kill people near lance, clear the rest, get heli, park inside where lance can get in, fly to hospital. Profit.
