Same! Breaks my heart too, most of the games are now very expensive especially since all the digital versions on the eShop are gone now. Megamix was only digital in the US so unless if you emulate or import a European/Japanese copy, that game is lost forever.

Donkey Kong should be getting a 2D and 3D game each generation. It's a real shame that the series has been so neglected recently, but I do have a strong feeling they're building up towards something, they wouldn't be building a theme park for a franchise that they have no plans for.

With both Hotel Dusk and Punch-Out!!, it might be too late for a new one on Switch. However, there might still be time for a port to happen. Hotel Dusk: Room 215 being a game where the DS is heled sideways makes it that much easier to translate to a single screen system. As for Punch-Out!!, this Wii title is easily adapted to Switch through the use of Joy-Con. The real question here is, would they include Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! from Wii Ware?

I still like the idea I came up with of a new Starfox game where you start out like any other Starfox game. Go through the galaxy (expanded more than N64) and do missions as the 4 StarFox team members. Get new gear for your ships and such. Each planet can have an assortment of jobs you can do that open up alternate paths as you track down the big bad evil guy (BBEG) and once you go confront them, you get stopped by Starwolf (Wolf, Leon, Panther and Andrew in this iteration.) which leads to the classic 4v4 fight and when you win you go chase after the villain and after a bit of a fight, he escapes. Leaves a bitter feeling but it cuts right to the main menu and you see "Story 2 has been unlocked under New Game" and you go in and check that out.
Now you're playing StarWolf. You got an assortment of missions as well in the galaxy. Just like with Fox, go through levels, pick up missions to go down alternate paths, get to the end where you're chasing after your target. You arrive at pursuing the villain with Wolf after they evaded Fox and once more, they are able to evade you as Wolf.
"True Story Unlocked" on the menu once more. Now you get a cutscene of both teams arriving after being evaded by their target they both were in pursuit of without knowing it. They decide to team up but require some better gear. You do some missions now as all 8 and gather some more OP gear. Pick your team for each level and watch unique banter happen. Want to play Slippy with Peppy, Andrew and Panther? Hear Peppy compliment Panther's flying and Andrew's tune change in his thoughts of Peppy and Slippy. Want to hear Fox, Falco, Wolf and Leon work together and have a mix of being at one another's throats and admitting they're actually really good pilots? Got that too.
Get the better gear and once you get a minimum level of gear on your ships, you go to the final level. Multiple phases of chasing down the villain, taking alternate paths to join one group or another, have banter between everyone. And by the end, who you choose and who you have in 2nd on your team going into this mission (Despite having all 8) will be the only two able to get through to the BBEG at the end allowing for one very tough yet rewarding boss fight.
But guess what? Who you choose as your character at the end gives a set of photos of what they did after you won as a reward. Try doing the final fight with all 8 to get the full picture of where they all stand going into the next Starfox game. Gotta get that completionist reward for people who want something fun like that.

I wonder if there is anyone else within Nintendo who is even a fan of Kid Icarus, the only reason that KI was chosen in the first place is because Iwata wanted Sakurai to make something different for the then new Nintendo 3DS after his work on Brawl, and Sakurai after taking in Iwata's requests and other various factors had decided to make this new game be a "shooting game with air battles and land battles" as well as revive a stalled Nintendo IP. I feel if we do get a new KI game it is going to be even more different than what we had in the past.

Something I'd really like to see: games that never left Japan or got world-wide releases. As either remakes or localizations for classic ports, I'd love to see them released like that in some official capacity!
Examples would be the Tingle games, Fire Emblem games before the GBA era (and Roy's game along with that one DS game that didn't get localized), so on and so forth.
It seems like the effort to release such ports has increased over the years but I'd love to see it go in full force! And it seems like the end of a console's lifetime may be the perfect opportunity to try something like this.

As someone who enjoyed "Star Fox Zero" I think it would have made a better impression as a Switch launch title. Not just because of the timing of being one of the last Wii U games but the new type gameplay they were trying to implement I think would have come across better as a showcase for split Joy-Cons instead of the Wii U Gamepad. I was thinking the same thing: they've re-made "Star Fox 1" a few times already why not re-make "Star Fox 2"? Miyamoto commented a few years ago he still wants to work on "Star Fox". If the rumors are true that the next Nintendo system will implement VR I wouldn't be surprised if they're saving "Star Fox" for that.

I’m pretty much in agreement for every series mentioned in this video, they should all get new installments! Some of them I would even just like to get remakes or Nintendo Switch ports of, even. Still, Derrick mentioned there were other series he didn’t mention in this video that he was forgetting, so in light of that, here are some other Nintendo series I’d like to see new games on the Switch:
Golden Sun - This one is probabaly the biggest omission in this video, Golden Sun has a MASSIVE following, there was a HUGE push to get Isaac playable in Smash Bros., and biggest of all, the las game in the series, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, ended on a cliffhanger, so there really does need to be a fourth game! Camelot seems to be stuck making Mario sports games, but I really wish Nintendo would just greenlight a new Golden Sun already. The demand is there, and we all want to see where the story goes from here.
Chibi-Robo! - Zip Lash seems to have been the final mail in the coffin for this little guy, since it was said that if the game didn’t do well, there would be no more Chibi-Robo! games, and the game was a flop. Not to mention, Chibi-Robo!’s developer, Skip Ltd., might be defunct now, though there hasn’t been an official confirmation. Still, this series just oozes charm, and the first game is a legit quirky classic. I would ESPECIALLY love to see a Pikmin/Chibi-Robo! crossover! Make it happen, Nintendo!
The Legendary Starfy - These games are really fun and cute! It’s a shame we only got the fifth game released in the West, especially that game is very much geared towards kids. This series gets surprisingly dark, especially with the third installment. In fact, just do a Starfy trilogy collection on Nintendo Switch; I was always kind of annoyed that the Western release of the fifth game tried to retcon those games out of existence. I get they did that because they didn’t release the other games in the West, but it still felt clumsy and awkward (the whole localization felt a bit weird at times, it’s hard to describe). Starfy needs love, he deserves to be more than just a punching back in Smash Bros.
Dillon games - Dillon’s Rolling Western and Dillon’s Dead-Heat Breakers were not only fun games, they had cool characters and, especially in the case of the third game, fascinating world-building! I would love to see a new game, but unfortunately, Vanpool, the developer of the Dillon games, shut down earlier this year, so I don’t know who would make them. I would even be fine with ports of all three games, since now they’re trapped behind the now shut down 3DS eShop. I want people to be able to see how neat these games can be.
Mario & Luigi - Speaking of game series with shut down developers, I love the Mario & Luigi series and don’t want to see it die. At the same time, I’m not sure how I’d feel about getting a new installment without the original people involved. Part of what made Mario & Luigi appealing is the distinct charm AlphaDream put into the series humor, character designs, and animations (that’s why Paper Jam was such a miss for me, being as homogenized as Paper Mario: Sticker Star did not to the series any favors). It’s similar to my thoughts on the EarthBound/MOTHER series; I don’t want a new game in that series unless Shigesato Itoi is involved, since so much of that series’ appeal is due to how he writes his games and characters. However, he said he was done with the series after MOTHER 3 and won’t make another one, and I completely respect that. But it’s not like we got something similar to that with the people from AlphaDream, they would probably love to make more Mario & Luigi games if they didn’t got bankrupt. Hopefully there’s still a future for this series, someway and somehow…
Panel de Pon/Puzzle League - These are fun puzzle games, and if Nintendo can keep finding reasons to make new Dr. Mario games, surely they can find ways to continue this series. The last new “game” was in 2016 with “Animal Crossing: Puzzle League”, and that was just a mini-game within Animal Crossing: New Leaf! It’s time for a comeback for this series! …And if possible, I’d like to see them go back to the original game’s setting and looks, I think Lip and her friends are cute and deserve some love, too.
Excite series - This is a weird series, since it also includes Excite Truck and Excitebots as well. I think there’s a lot of fun to be had with pulling off sick tricks while racing; that’s probably why Mark Kart incorporated it into their games (and why there’s an Excitebike track in Mario Kart 8). The last game was from 2010 on WiiWare, so yeah, we’re overdue for a new installment here!
Wrecking Crew - Specifically the first one; no disrespect to Wrecking Crew ‘98 (other that Spike’s redesign in that game, really don’t like what they did to him there), but I think there’s potential in the set-up had for the original NES game. It’d be no different then how the set up levels in the Mario v. Donkey Kong series; Mario (and/or Luigi) have to destroy buildings in order to progress, and maybe Spike could be the main bad guy or something. I legitimately do see potential here and I’d like to see Nintendo do more with it.
Other than those, there are non-series one-off Nintendo games I’d like to see sequels to like Ice Climber, Mach Rider, The Mysterious Murasame Castle, Stunt Race FX, Mole Mania, and Nintendo Land. I would also like to see another ARMS game, but that’s already on the Switch (maybe the next console?)

Every Nintendo direct, I pray that we’ll finally get a Kid Icarus Uprising remaster. The Switch 100% both deserves and needs it, since it’s beautiful visuals would look way better when not stuck on a 3DS screen, its controls would work way better with two joysticks, it would actually get the sales it deserves, *and* I’d actually get to play the amazing Light Vs. Dark multiplayer with real humans again. Even the creator of the game himself wants it, so it’s just a matter of time, Nintendo.
A new DK game would be a very close second though, considering it’s been nearly a decade since Tropical Freeze. Though at this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was saved for the next console.

I've always thought it would be pretty cool to see an Ice Climbers reboot á la Kid Icarus, my two ideas are turning it into a roguelike series or a 2 player co-op game similar to the likes of It Takes Two
Mario & Luigi returning is probably a pipedream but it'd be nice to at least get ports, if they were to make a new game then my guess would be to have 4 playable characters like in Partners in Time but the 2 extra characters are either Wario & Waluigi or Peach & Daisy (the princesses have been getting a ton of spotlight recently so I'd say they're more likely)

After Star Fox Command Star Fox kinda needed a reboot. After playing Star Fox 2 on the Nintendo Switch SNES Emulator, I think that could be an interesting idea for a new game. I already liked the strategy implementation in Star Fox Command, I think a new Starfox Game that has this strategy aspect as well as the ground combat from Assault would be really cool. You could still have routes like the N64 games and have planets and their surroundings be a strategy level, or be crazy and make it an intergalactic war, with every galaxy having one big map with several planets, similar on how the Map in Star Fox 2 looks.

ONE reboot. They needed ONE reboot. We, effectively, got TWO IN A ROW! I don't know HOW MUCH better this would have turned out, but imagine:
      2011: Star Fox 64 3D comes out.
Late 2011, for WiiU, they greenlight someone to do a Star Fox Adventures remake. Comes out mid-late 2015. Wouldn't "save the WiiU", but probably does a bit better than Zero critically and commercially. Ported to Switch in a combined release with 64 3D in Late 2017-Early 2018.

Honestly the only reason it needs a reboot at all is the multiple endings of Command, where most of them kinda end the story for good. They should have just gone with the happy Fox and Krystal get a son ending and have the next game be a soft Reboot, playing their son with Falco being the new Peppy.
Zero being on the WiiU was also a huge kick in the face. Rebooting a franchise on a failing console and then wondering why it didn't work out is something only Nintendo is able to do.

Great list overall but the fact that Wave Race has been seemingly forgotten by not just Nintendo but fans as well brings tears to my eyes 😢

Battalion Wars is my most wished for, i adored the two games we did get but with neither of them selling very well i don't think a new one is likely sadly.

I know you already said Wario Land in this video, but I would absolutely love to see a Wario Land game that has rogue-like elements to it. We've kinda seen Nintendo already experimenting with the concept of a rogue-like with the Splatoon 3: Side Order DLC. The idea I've had with a Wario Land rogue-like has been floating around my head. Imagine you can get upgrades and make Wario or Waluigi stronger or get more coins out of enemies. There's definitely a lot of potential with it and I would love for Nintendo to do that!

I’d love Dragalia Lost. I want that world preserved.

I find it somewhat disgusting how Nintendo and Cygames essentially doesn't acknowledge Dragalia Lost after it's service ended.

I think you meant Next Level games?
