Yes, I’d love to see the business side of 3 vs 4 lambing’s per year! Maybe you and Mark could do it together, his insight is always interesting too. Just like we love seeing/hearing your thoughts on the grain side of the farm! Your efforts to prevent preg-tox are showing such amazing results so far…..thank you for never giving up. Your determination to get answers is very admirable!!!
Yes, I certainly agree with the comment. Couldn't have said it any better. I just started using the wool I bought from you. It is so soft and lovely! I can't wait for your next launches. I appreciate you and your whole family and the team you have built. Sandi, I hear you about your back prognosis and the follow-up with your doctor. Take it from me if you're willing. The more you know about it, the more it will prevent you from further complications. Best wishes always, and thanks for sharing.
All that you and Mark do to coordinate the sheep and grain farming is very interesting. Please continue to educate us. Please take care of your back. 💙
Hi Sandi, Congrats on the Advent Calendar ! Two things, frame and hang your labels in your shop. Years from now you can look back and say " remember when ?" Also from someone who has back issues...talk to your Dr about getting a medical grade back brace. It's too late for me and I wish I could do the things that I'm supposed to in my 60's. Thank you for sharing your world with us.
Absolutely, you know your animals. I just had to have our little border terrier put to sleep. It's the worst decision, but you know it's the right thing to do when they don't have a quality of life or are in pain and there is no hope of them getting better. Truly heartbreaking
When it comes to animals we love, we can't always trust ourselves to part with them when we don't want to say goodbye for selfish reasons. Animals that evolved with predators, are genetically predisposed to hide weakness, even when they are suffering greatly. They can be in agony long before they lose their appetite, if that's your decision point. Get your Vet's opinion.
Good Lord, do you sleep?! 😅 You are without a doubt, the hardest working woman I have ever seen ! Fields, sheep, lambs, feed, merch, news letter, family, book club, what did I miss? You are my hero, lady. I don't know where your energy comes from. I would love to see the business side of the sheep farm. Thank you for sharing your life with us ! We ❤ 🐑 !
PLEASE use a dolly, a pallet lift, anything with wheels & give your back a rest!.I'm speaking as a retired nurse with repeated back injuries & a discectomy from LOVE for you ❤❤💕💕
Hello Sandi, I am sorry to hear about your back. I was a printer for 23 years. So my back is not great. I have had 15 shots in my back to help calm everything down. I now do stretches and situps every morning. I also use a patch that is Novacane, which is absorb through the skin and that helps.
I agree with those here in this little comment section with their advice 🫶 (gentle hug) As someone who was Dx'd with degenerative disc disease about 15yrs ago, those back pains are no joke. When those discs start to go, they GO and they tend to impede on the nerves in the spine 😢 Push rather than pull, try to avoid lifting (I know, right? 🤣) and DO what your doctor(s) suggest. I've ended up with a laminectomy, discectomy, and a fusion of my L2-4 in the span of 3mos 🫣 back in 2012 and then my LAST fusion was in 2021 to fuse the L4 to my top S level 🥴 Sandi, pls take care of that back of yours 🥰
For your launch room , a suggestion… I ordered a utility cart from U line because of back issues. Should have done so a year ago. Excellent weight capacity, strongly suggest the version with pneumatic wheels that can be locked ( my cart tends to roll 🤣 ). It will be the best money you spend . 💕🥰
Sandy I was a nurse for 40 years. I also have degenerative disk disease. It’s not the bones it’s the disk between the bones. I am now 69 years old. You have to be careful and stop pushing yourself so hard. I have PT once a week. I also get acupuncture with electrodes put on them because my muscles lock up. I also have the sciatica problem. Please be careful.
I am 66 and I have had DDD since I was about 30. Not very much trouble with it over the years but I would usually fet a flare up around the holiday season. Now that I take far better care of my health I can't remember the last time I had a flare up.6
Oooh I'll have to look into these options. Im 36 and I too have DDD (primarily in my C spine which sucks because it affects my ability to move my head around and gives me constant headaches, neck/shoulder/arm pain) and I've had 1 surgery to replace a disk and fuse my neck and my neuro doc now only wants me on PT and meds to control the pain (I dont want to be on meds but I can't be in pain with my job).
Thank you for sharing your back story. I have been suffering for about 6 years. Almost 4 years ago I had spine fusion surgery. It worked great but it wasn't where the pain was coming from. I felt it was the SI joint but the doctor didn't feel the same way. It took a bit more than a year to convince him that it was the SI joint. Shortly after surgery I felt great. However, there still was pain in the SI joint area. I had massages, trigger shots, exercises & swimming. Nothing would release the pain and stress in the piriformis muscle. I was constantly stretching and using the heating pad. Last week my PT guy said let's try dry needling. I said yes. I'm not going to let this muscle ruin the rest of my life. The process wasn't any more painful than injections. However, later thst night I was SO sore. It was bad. I curled up into a ball and rolled up in my most comfy blanket. Today is 3 days past the needling and I feel like I'm going to get this muscle soften and workable. I'm 74 year old and I always did things using my arms and back. By 65 I was beginning to have back problems. It escalated over the next 9 yrs. Protect your back!!
Hello! I'm 39, I have DDD and recurring herniated disks. I know how it sucks not being able to do a lot anymore, being in chronic pain isn't fun. I have stopped doing a lot of things, and have just accepted that I have a new way of life now. Doesn't mean I'm going to stop moving, cause that's what my fibromyalgia would want. So I just live each day to the fullest and take it one step at a time😊
Sandi, you are doing great analyzing Ruby Sue to determine when suffering justifies euthanasia. Don’t second guess. You will know when it’s time. Don’t fret in anticipation. Just enjoy the remaining days. ❤❤❤
Mark was absolutely right! Your body was telling you that you need to slow down! I know how much you love Ruby Sue, and she will let you know when the time is right to let her go. You are so in tune with the Golden Girls that you will also know. As her time approaches, I will keep you both in my heart! Love to all! ❤❤❤❤
Sandi, you need to take care of yourself. I know you have alot going on, and it's all dear to your heart. But as a nurse in farm country myself? You will continue to get sick often and worse if you don't watch your pace. Sometimes you need to sacrifice some things to stay healthy yourself❤
I feel your pain, as I have degenerative disc decease in L2,L3,L4,L5. But I'm 63, and grew up on a horse farm, been thrown a few times, once landing on my tailbone. Yes, listen to your body and your Doctor
The fact that you have done this, really done it, is so amazing in so many ways. Sandi, you took a dream and made it a reality. And, you showed us that, with perseverance and hope, it can be done. YOU are amazing! But, I don't think you even realize how amazing all of this is. I look at it from the outside and see how many hats you are wearing and the way you wear them. Well, THAT is what is amazing! You are doing SO MANY full-time jobs and fitting them all into 24/7! And, you do them all well! I so admire you, Sandi! Congratulations on your advent calendar, and thank you so very much for giving us your channel!
❤ Dear Sandy, I never comment on videos/channels I watch, butbwill comment on yours. I have been here for a couple of years and I get to pause my life for a bit while I watch yours. I notice often how you comment about yourself. We all have flaws and thats neither good or bad. But we should acknowledge both if we can. You made a negative comment your hands not being dainty enough (i think). They are the same hands that nurture and care for the ewes, the ones that keep the lambs alive and the ones that make it all happen in the barn and in the field. Most of all, they are the hands that held your own babies, brushed their tears away and held their hands. I do hope that one day yiu will see how amazing you are. ❤
I agree. You glow from the inside out. I have watched you for several years now, and I'm always amazed. I'm 71, and there is no way I could step over the walls of the lambing pens or half of the other jobs you do. Please take care of yourself. Your farm needs you! You have just the hands you need to loving do the things you do. ❤🎉
@@rangitotogazer I hope Sandi does see this and realizes how beautifully amazing she really is! Those hands need to be insured with the amount of blessings they’ve assisted in. I love Sandi to pieces (I know that sounds weird) but her eyes are as pure as gold. I’d defend her against any and all bullying (and I do) there aren’t very many like Sandi in this world and she needs to be protected at all cost! I loved your comment and agree 110%!
This room is not going to be the final room they will do stuff in as the merch room will be upstairs, but yes, anti fatigue mats will be great addition
Check out support shoes too. A pair with arch supports and cushioned soles. AND. Those hard to get on socks that provide support. My g niece swears by them - she is on her feet all day as RN and Mom of 3 !!
I hate putting down any animal....but when the animal is still showing you they aren't suffering and the ears tell it all. A big hug to Ruby Sue and to you Sandi!
Idea: Get the pallet lift in there. Bring the pallet up to slightly below waist height so you're not bending to place the box on the pallet. As the height of the boxes rises, lower the pallet.❤💕
Sandi, how many times you lamb a year, is not always about money, it is about your health and what you can manage without causing you any problems, now you have the news about your back, do what the medics say. Love from Mike. ❤
I’ll give you a tip about boxes we used to use in the factory. Break down the boxes and place them on skids, that way if you need a box you can quickly grab it from the stack on the skid and tape it up. It saves a lot of space, and having to constantly move boxes out of the way. On a skid, they can easily be transported anywhere in the shop you need, also.
I do the same, I get these great boxes from the pet suppliers they are perfect size for use around the home when it comes to Putting house hold items away or in my case my many hobbies. I have a pile of them that I just keep adding too. They have come in handy at the moment in the garden as I’m building out new garden beds and as I have so many boxes I have pinched a few of them to place under the wood mulch I just managed to get for almost free. (A slab of beer to drop of the 2 ton of wood chip that was going to the local tip) for me to buy that much mulch and have delivered would have cost me around $200 AUS (a slab costs $61.70) that’s a huge savings for me.
Your back will thank you for keeping moving - maybe have a doctor or Phys Therapist review some of your videos. There might be ways to move differently when doing chores that will help prevent flair ups. Things change with age and you will adapt once you make peace with it. :-) So glad your sick day was just a one-off.
Sorry to say nothing stops back pain. It is the degree of pain that changes. Everyone is different so you have to find what works. I have been dealing with back issues for 20 plus years. I can't have surgery because I am a caregiver to my mama 99 . No one to help for the last 7 yrs. Shelve your pride. Get a lift chair. Try different orthopedic cushions. If it hurts to sit in a chair try cushions or replace. Listen to your body. Get a cart like grocery cart to carry the load. I fell and broke my shoulder last year really bad breaks no surgery healed on its own. For me because the doctor said Don't fall. I started using mamas gathering dust Rollerator walker to carry the loads. Like carrying food trays, laundry, and large garbage bags to name a few. Pushing puts less strain on my back. I noticed your carrying heavy feeds sacks of 5 gallon buckets. Get a cart. You will be amazed by the relief of simple things matter
Regarding Ruby Sue, your dilemma: As a wise veterinarian told me when I had the same dilemma about my old dog. People were saying she was too old, you should put her down. She still had her favourite little games, liked her little walks and really liked her food. This is what the veterinarian said to me: "Nobody knows this dog like you do. You know her better than anyone else. She will tell you when it's time." And she did! You will do the right thing by her.
My sister had to make that hard decision with her boxer - he was a lovely dog, but had cancer. She was getting vet treatment and said she would as long as he was happy and enjoyed eating and walks. Eventually, she knew it was time to let him go.
I have been loving your choice of music lately. It has been soothing, yet lively and the volume has been perfect. Too many other videos use the same few songs and at an annoying volume level. Your music enhances the story , not detracts from it. Great attention to detail; as usual- thank you.
Same - there are some other channels I watch and the music can be distracting enough, I mute the audio and watch with captions on Have never had to this with Sandi’s channel ! Love the music choices and how well they them match the action on screen - really appreciate the extra effort !
I have always been impressed by the editing that Sandi puts into each video. The number of times that she relocates the camera for us to get the best shot is absolutely crazy. Adding drone footage into the videos has stepped up the videography big time! Thanks, Sandi, for taking us along on this journey around Shepherd Creek Farms. Still watching from Conroe, Texas.
I hope you will also seriously look at work/life balance. Your back injury & "flu (?) are warning messages from your body that you need to take care of the caregiver as a priority. I hope that lambing 3 times a year versus 4 times also works out acceptably on the costs/benefit ratio. We love you Sandi & keep wanting you to stay your healthy best! ❤❤💕💕
Saying it again! Just blown away & delighted that Sandi's creativity has blossomed from her initial motive to value her fleeces as so much more than landfill! You reign, Queen Sandi!!❤💕
If you kept PITA's ewe lamb, you could call her Rita 😂 Those are some good-looking lambs in this group of bebes! Do NOT fret about the launch. You know we will lick that bunk clean of woolie stuff! ❤
Ms. Sandi. You, Ms. Sandi, you are one amazing lady. You bring so much joy and fun to your u-tube channel. The sheep farming the field works with Mark, Jes, and her book reading channel. Then, your friend's fellow farm folks that pop in and out throughout continue farming life. We love you very much, please take care of yourself. You are a supper woman, but even a super woman can brake her self down. Again, please take care.🤗😊😍❤️👍 Richard
From a fellow back sufferer, not offering advise or suggestions, or recommendations. Why? EveryBODY is different. You know yours better than I do. So, I'll send prayers, good vibes, positive thoughts and just keep following along. Here's to you and yours!
Thank you!!! Everyone's back\spine is different. I have severe scoliosis with degenerative disc disease and arthritis in my spine. There are things I cannot do due to the structure of my spine. I know what I can do, but I can't compare my back to yours. All I can tell you is that physical therapy and aqua therapy helped me. (Aqua therapy is so relaxing! )
You’ll know when she’s ready…….don’t let anyone tell you when to make the decision. You and your ewes have that connection that’s special to you. Take care.
Ruby sue will give you the cue when the time is right to put her down, so don’t listen to others only you know your sheep! We hope that yes the universe will make that decision for you. We sure will miss ruby sue! Keep up the good work and can’t wait for the winter launch
When a woman says she doesn't have time....that means she needs to make time! I've been a hard worker farm girl and my back started having issues in my forties.....now at 63 I can't hardly move.....must listen to your body!!!!❤
It is truly so much easier when the decision is made for us. It is the worst part of being a livestock farmer. I once had a kid that had a terminal deformity. I was asked by the vet who confirmed the deformity if I wanted to have her put down immediately. At that point she was absolutely loving life, running and playing with the other kids. I couldn't bring myself to take that joy from her. I knew that I would know when the time had come, and I did.
With all the chaos and stress in the world right now your channel is so grounding and puts a smile on my face. When you stamped your logo on that box and showed the camera, i could feel the sense of pride and accomplishment you feel which put a big smile on my face. All your hard work is truly a life saver for a lot of viewers like myself. Thank you Sandy and fam.
Not gonna lie. I'm jealous of the rain you're getting. I live in West Virginia in the US. We are in a severe drought. Lots of farmers only got 1 maybe 2 cuttings of hay. One town has ran out of water and is under a state of emergency. Lakes and creeks are dried up. Now that the leaves are on the ground we have brush fires popping up. Please pray for rain for us this coming week.
SANDY! You look so much better and rested. This makes my heart happy! Sorry about your back. Be careful with it. Take care of yourself as the world is happy with Sandy in it. Glad your family stepped in and told you to stay in bed! You have a wonderful husband and children...which you are well deserving to have.
Sandi, you will know when it's time to say a final goodbye to Ruby Sue. This is from someone who has had to make that difficult decision. Love you and your videos.😊❤🎉🎉
Hi, Sandi. With all the standing & walking on the cement floor in the warehouse, purchase a number of anti fatigue, wellness/ comfort mats. Put them everywhere underfoot when you are working in the warehouse. Your back, and knees, and hips will thank you!!!
Now that your workshop is built, you may be able to pace out your finicky jobs like the Advent calendar over a few mor months. Less exhausting crunch time.
Hey Sandi, I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease in my late twenties. I am now 63, with rheumatoid arthritis, and I work as a professional dog walker (VERY active). I rarely have flare ups from my back and I have numerous gentle exercises that I can do to help me overcome it when I do. Don't despair - you can remain active and well, despite it.
I lol'ed when you was telling Ruby Sue good morning and the other eye came over, "Yes, good morning" Reminds me of when I am talking to one of my cats and the other just barges in and tries to steal all the attention. Only you will know when its time with Ruby Sue, take comfort in the fact you gave her best life she could have, its so clear how much you love all your animals and give them the best care you can give. Take a breath, breathe, it will be OK *hugs*
So glad to see you're doing better! Re: Ruby Sue...one of our beloved cats is elderly and and has been going downhill. However she is eating and has claimed a sleeping spot where everyone passes by and says hi to her. She's a tough little girl and we're hoping the same thing you are, that she just peacefully journeys on. Meanwhile we love her like I know you love Ruby Sue.
As someone with Degenerative Disc Disease (I was diagnosed about 20 years ago) and slightly older than you, Sandi, I can tell you it's doable. I know it isn't always possible to just stop when you start to feel a bad patch coming on, but listen to your body and when you start to feel it coming on, back off a little. Lidocaine patches will become your best friend when you need to get going or keep going. I went on to rupture one disc and herniate two others, then surgery, but It is still doable! Just be kind to yourself on the days that may be more challenging!
You area an incredible woman and the way you take care of flock is amazing!! Any of those that want to criticize you should find a commercial farming and see how those are treated!
I know that cleaning the barn is hard on your body, but you must get such an incredible sense of satisfaction when it's done. I find it very relaxing to watch you clean the barn. I'm not even cleaning it and I feel a sense of satisfaction for you! I had horses and cleaned stables for years and it just always felt good when the barn was cleaned, swept, and all the animals were fed!
Sandy…. Keep trusting your gut when it comes to Ruby-Sue your the only one who will know when it’s her time. You have given these golden girls the best “retirement” they possibly could have had. There’s a special place in heaven for folks like you (and all the special animals and humans you’ve lost will be there waiting for you) ❤
Thanks for sharing your journey with us. When the things here in the US get as stressful as they are right now it really makes me wish I could just come work on the farm with y'all and pretend this crazy reality didn't exist. 😂 In all seriousness, these videos are a great escape and they are greatly appreciated. Wishing you the best for lambing and the launch!
Glad you are feeling better Sandi!! And yes absolutely I would love to see more of a business breakdown on the lambing changes! I am not very tech savvy and have started spreadsheets trying to figure out my own side of things as to how the breakdowns and costs in comparisons to lambing groups and I have failed to make my brain make sense of it! lol. Glad you seperated your ewe lambs out, it definately makes sense to keep replacements to refill the three lambing groups!! Super proud and happy for you guys putting in all the hard work for the merch stuff as well!!!
I purchased an adjustable table from an office supply store to use by my desk so my keyboard would be at the best height for me. It was less than $100 US and made my desk work so much easier on my back. I'm only 5'1" tall, so regular desks don't work for me.
We all trust you will do what's right for Ruby Sue. And when it's right and it will all be done with your trademark love and guardianship of a most fine Shepardess
It’s a great day when Sandi posts a new video for us! ❤ glad your feeling better. And can’t wait for your launches! You are the only RUclips channel I’d buy anything. Just love how you support other local small businesses. Stay wonderful and amazing Sandi! ❤️🐑❤️
Happy to see you feeling better! I too have my alarm set for the advent calendar. 🎉 still can’t believe someone would tell you what to do with your animals when you’re such a great caregiver! ❤
From professional experience, Open box, Empty box , BREAKDOWN box. Don't ever leave boxes intact unless you are going to use it Right Away. Love hugs, can't wait for your business breakdown numbers. You got really great advice about using the pallet jack for package loading.......Save your back !
Sandi, concerning your degenerative disc diagnosis, it should prompt you to assess your sheep operation to see where procedures could be streamlined further, also to reduce any stress on your back. Talk to Carissa for additional feedback, just to get a more complete picture. Lastly, your doctor’s appointment result - hopefully the options offered help keep you sheep farming with less back stress. Good Luck!
Just as Sandi had Courney assess & modify here ewes' feed, I pray she has a physiotherapist & occupational therapist assess her work practices & give her a care plan for protecting her back from further injury ❤❤💕💕
Set an alarm for the advent calendar changed the ringtone for it so I won’t ignore it!!! Can’t wait!! Got it Woot Woot!!! Sold out in less than 15 minutes, Dude!!!
Listen to your heart, Sandi! My entire family kept urging me to put my beloved companion down. My response was always, “He’s not ready.” They just thought that it was me who wasn’t ready and, although they weren’t wrong, I just knew in my heart that he wasn’t. When he finally (a few weeks later) showed me that he was ready, I did what was painfully necessary. I know that you have made these hard decisions before and will have to continue to make them. I just wanted to let you know that I understand. Most of us understand. Don’t listen to anyone except yourself and Ruby Sue. ❤❤❤
I think we all love everything you for. Great content, wonderful sweet family, cutest lambs, watching farming is fascinating, the good, bad, & ugly is life and we appreciate you sharing all of it with class and grace. I definitely have learned how to human better since watching you. I love this new retail chapter! So happy for you. Giant congrats! I am so sorry about your back. I have it too.
Oh my gosh- Kenzie racing around at the end is a reminder of how much she enjoys being un the barn - if Sandi is ever looking for content, it would be neat to see footage from a Go-Pro attached to Kenzie’s collar 😄
Business break down would be interesting. I want you to know that watching you raising your lambs has helped me in a lot of way, Emotionally and Spiritually. I have a lot of respect for you and for all you do. Thank you so so much for continuing to share it all ... good and bad. It means a lot to me!!! Thank you always for being yourself even when it is hard.
Sandy you do a wonderful job with your sheep i have now been watching you for about two years I just love the way you take care of the sheep your barn is always so clean
Sandi, seeing the business side of the 4 to 3 would be interesting. I have imagined you have had a little more free time to do other things. Thank you for sharing. 😊
So glad you’re feeling better, have you considered getting a wrap for your back. My husband had issues with his and uses it when he’s working outside! Take care of yourself and tell Ruby Sue we love her too ❤❤
Of course we care about your health!!! Yes, please keep us updated! Oh my goodness... I'm so excited about the Advent calendar!! I hope I can get one this year! You've all worked so hard on them and they look amazing!!! Sending sunshine hugs from California!🤗❤❤
Much love from Western Australia 🇦🇺Great vlog as always 🐑🐑 imo try to ignore all the outside noise regarding Ruby-Sue, go with your heart and what it tells you. You're a wonderful person and only want the best for your girls. You know them better than anyone, and every day whilst she is not in pain, is a day of life of love from you. 💜🐑
Glad you are doing better I have the same thing, my spine collapsed 40 years ago. Wearing a lumbar back brace helps to hold the vertebra in place. Reducing further damage. Sooooo glad to see your videos they make my day's
Sandi, I'm interested in ALL aspects of your operation! Please, please keep us as informed as you feel like about your back and how you're going to be moving forward as a shepardess and businesswoman. You and the entire Brock family are important to so many of us. Take care! Pace yourself! Those advent calendars are going to be so amazing! 🐑 🏡 🎄 🐑 🏡 🎄 🐑 🏡 🎄🐑
Sandi, we always want our pets to have one more last good day before losing them. you will know when things have to change for her. Hugs, this is a hard place to be, each and every time.
I was on the site to purchase the Advent Calendar when it opened. I ended up missing out. I was standing in line to check out, and before I got to the checkout process, the calendar was sold out. WOW! I can not even imagine how crowded the shop door was for it to sell out in 2 minutes! Oh well, I do hope that I am quicker for your winter launch. I really do want a hoodie. Anything heavier than that in Florida is too much. Much love , Sandi. I am so happy that you are feeling better. I think Mark and Jess were right. Sometime your body d decides that you are exhausted and need to rest, and since you will not slow down, it does it for you. Please take care of yourself too. Your health is just as important as your sheep's health 🐑 and your family's health. I actually scared me when I saw how sick you were.
I’m so sorry to learn about your back~I just had spinal fusion on my neck and I have had 3 prior surgeries bc of disc degeneration. PRAYING you do NOT, EVER have to go this route bc it’s not pleasant whatsoever. I’ll continue to pray for you and your health my sweet Sandi. Oh my goodness I am SO EXCITED Sandi!!! I have my alarm set for tomorrow I can’t wait! I’m so thankful for ALL your hard work and I am honored to be able to support you and your family! I had SOOOOOO many compliments today @ Costco (it was packed) on my book nook burgundy shirt! 13 people asked me where I bought it and I was all too happy to tell them 🥰 so hopefully you’ll have more subscribers and sell more items that you’ve worked so hard putting together. I absolutely love and adore you and your sweet family. I truly am genuine when I say I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart~I KNOW without a single doubt this will be the BEST advent calendar out there. EEK! I am so excited you have no idea. Off to finish making sourdough bread but wanted to comment really quick. Get some rest as 4am comes REALLY EARLY 🥰
I get so many compliments on my Willow and Red, 🐑 in a Jeep shirt too. I often wonder if anyone subscribes from my shirt. Sadly, 1 day after I received my shirt , Sandi mentioned that someone complained to her about a shirt, and discovered a knock-off company sold it to her. I found 3 different vendors selling it. Boo! Hiss!
@ are you freaking kidding me? What a@@ hats! I wear (I know we ALL DO) our shirts with pride knowing we’re supporting the finest out there…our “Sandi”!!!!
What a successful advent calendar launch! I was too slow during checkout, but even though I didn’t get a calendar I am so incredibly happy for you and your success. Less than one minute before selling out is amazing and just goes to show how supportive this lovely community is. Wishing you and your family all the best! Keep doing what you’re doing and congratulations to everyone who snagged an advent calendar! I’ll be following along on RUclips again this year ❤🐑
Sandi, I also have degenerative disc disease so I know the pain you are going through. I did physical therapy for the pain and also steroid injections. Once they didn’t help, I had a lumbar laminectomy with fusion at my L2-3 when I was 53. I no longer have pain in that area of my back. Please take it easy on your back as much as possible. Sending my healing prayers.
I have the same, but my crummy disc's aren't causing my sciatica. It's the extra bone from arthritis squeezing the nerves as they come out between the vertebrae, called spinal stenosis. Steroid shots helped sometimes, last one didn't, 4 years ago. By the grace of God, it has calmed down, lasting a few days and 4 months apart with no treatment except PT for 2 hip replacements and a reverse shoulder replacement. I think that the PT really helped my back also. So glad you are not having pain now, especially since the success rate for this surgery is about 50%. (Retired physician here)
@@janisedenton4242 my back is causing me pain in other areas now. Both SI joints are degenerative as they really cause me pain a lot. I had a left rotator cuff repair done about 5 years ago. The right rotator cuff is torn now and causes me a lot of pain. My orthopedist is treating me with steroid injections, but it’s getting to the point where they’re not lasting very long. My doctor said I will need a reverse shoulder replacement. He said he could first repair it, but I’d eventually need the replacement. How was your recovery for the reverse shoulder replacement? I’ve heard it’s a quicker recovery than a regular replacement.
Love love love the video. So glad you are feeling better. Shop is really looking good. Your advent is looking great. Glad the mama is doing better. She looked spunky today. Your doctor will probably give you a big bump in calcium. Mine did. Not a big deal.
I have degenerate disc's too ,I had my spine fused and feel great no more pain ,just do physical therapy and keep your back muscles strong ,lift smart not hard praying for you .kiss ruby sue for me❤❤
Sandi, THIS!!! I had surgery and never looked back. It was over 40 years ago, but afterwards, I rode horses, threw bales of hay. I became a nurse after my surgery. Nowadays, doctors have come up with so many better ideas and ways to make your back work. Go to the best orthopedic surgeon you can go to, and talk to him/her. And there are lots of non surgical options that they're going to offer you b do everything they offer, because one of them may work, and then you don't have to have surgery...
I love your sheep sweater. It is so cute and beautifully made. 😊 Give your body more time to rest. Seriously. With degenerative disc disease(?), you really have to consider how much your back can take and stress it less. It can be, as you know, very debilitating. Been there, living it. Please be well and practice calm. Peace. ❤
My mum was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in the 90’s. She’s in her 80’s now & she’s still walking (though she does need a cane sometimes). You take care of your body & it will take care of you
Sandi, you are such a hard working gal! Sweet Ruby Sue isn’t ready for her rainbow bridge yet…she will let you know. Enjoy her still! Your sheep sweater and hat are gorgeous!! All your boxed advent calendars are amazing…great job!!! Hope you can take some time to rest and heal your back. It will be worth it come launch and lambing. 🙏🙏. Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻
I love ❤ stats.
All that you and Mark do to coordinate the sheep and grain farming is very interesting. Please continue to educate us.
Please take care of your back. 💙
Agreed
Hi Sandi, Congrats on the Advent Calendar ! Two things, frame and hang your labels in your shop. Years from now you can look back and say " remember when ?" Also from someone who has back issues...talk to your Dr about getting a medical grade back brace. It's too late for me and I wish I could do the things that I'm supposed to in my 60's. Thank you for sharing your world with us.
No matter what anyone says - Only YOU will know when the time is right to do what is best for Ruby Sue.
I agree, 100%.
Amen I totally agree. (4th that comment.)
AMEN!! Go with your own gut Sandi❤
We ❤ 🐑 !
If we're interested???? Of course we're interested!!!! You are family and we love you!!!!
Well said💖
PLEASE use a dolly, a pallet lift, anything with wheels & give your back a rest!.I'm speaking as a retired nurse with repeated back injuries & a discectomy from LOVE for you ❤❤💕💕
Agreed with the wheels. My back surgeon also said anything that can be pushed, rather than pulling is also better.
Exactly what I thought when I saw her dragging and lifting boxes, especially given her new diagnosis.
Work smarter not harder Sandi!!
Hello Sandi,
I am sorry to hear about your back.
When those discs start to go, they GO and they tend to impede on the nerves in the spine 😢
Push rather than pull, try to avoid lifting (I know, right? 🤣) and DO what your doctor(s) suggest.
I've ended up with a laminectomy, discectomy, and a fusion of my L2-4 in the span of 3mos 🫣 back in 2012 and then my LAST fusion was in 2021 to fuse the L4 to my top S level 🥴
Sandi, pls take care of that back of yours 🥰
Now that I take far better care of my health I can't remember the last time I had a flare up.6
Yes to the electrode acupuncture. Surgeon recommended acupuncture and massage therapy, rather than chiropractic
What a lovely thought - to just enjoy/cherish the remaining days. Blessings.
Kinsey licking the sheep's ears *is* weird but it's even more weird that the sheep let her. And seem to enjoy it! 😄
The fact that you have done this, really done it,
is so amazing in so many ways.
THIS!
❤ Dear Sandy,
I never comment on videos/channels I watch, butbwill comment on yours.
Suggestion: Buy some foam mats for the merch room to stand on. Standing on cement is hard on the legs and feet. 😊
If memory serves me well, I think she did when they first set the room up.
Brilliant!
Excellent
Sandi, how many times you lamb a year, is not always about money, it is about your health and what you can manage without causing you any problems, now you have the news about your back, do what the medics say.
Love from Mike. ❤
This is exactly what I was thinking.
💯 % ‼️
That is a really good suggestion!
Good advice. ❤
I have been loving your choice of music lately. It has been soothing, yet lively and the volume has been perfect.
Too many other videos use the same few songs and at an annoying volume level.
Your music enhances the story , not detracts from it.
Great attention to detail; as usual- thank you.
Same - there are some other channels I watch and the music can be distracting enough, I mute the audio and watch with captions on
Have never had to this with Sandi’s channel !
Mark is right! You need to take breaks and take care of yourself ❤️
or you could call her RePita
@@sharonlamendola8528 RePITA is so good!! 😂
Ms. Sandi.
Again, please take care.🤗😊😍❤️👍
Richard
Take care.
Glad you’re feeling more like yourself. Yes for the breakdown. I was Willow the ewe for Halloween.
😆. That's a good one!
Ruby sue will give you the cue when the time is right to put her down, so don’t listen to others only you know your sheep! We hope that yes the universe will make that decision for you. We sure will miss ruby sue!
Keep up the good work and can’t wait for the winter launch
I wish you kept the black ewe lamb with the white face. She's adorable. I'm a sucker for black sheep.
Was looking for this - team keeping the pretty black ewe with white face! Call her Oreo!
When a woman says she doesn't have time....that means she needs to make time! I've been a hard worker farm girl and my back started having issues in my forties.....now at 63 I can't hardly move.....must listen to your body!!!!❤
Don’t underestimate yourself. You are a phenomenal person. Thank you for sharing your life with us.❤
As a retired nurse that put back off when I it i wish i had it sooner I had lots of damage
Only when Ruby Sue is not eating or moving then it’s time. Everyone has good days and bad. We love her. 🐑
Sandi, you will know when it's time to say a final goodbye to Ruby Sue. This is from someone who has had to make that difficult decision. Love you and your videos.😊❤🎉🎉
Glad your feeling better Sandy, Jess is so sweet to fill in for you, so you can rest.
Hi, Sandi. With all the standing & walking on the cement floor in the warehouse, purchase a number of anti fatigue, wellness/ comfort mats. Put them everywhere underfoot when you are working in the warehouse. Your back, and knees, and hips will thank you!!!
Glad you are better Sandi❤❤❤❤
Now that your workshop is built, you may be able to pace out your finicky jobs like the Advent calendar over a few mor months. Less exhausting crunch time.
🎉🥳🥳🥳YAY Our SANDI is BETTER! 🎉🎉🎉💕Thank YOU!💕🐑💕🐑💕🐑
Hey Sandi,
I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease in my late twenties.
WOW!!! I can’t believe how many Advent Calendars you did!! Thank you ❤
So glad to see you're doing better!
Your sheep sweater is beautiful. Good color for you. Glad you are feeling better. You are a very busy lady. Take time for yourself❤
Can't believe I caught your piece so fast..just 12 minutes after dropping.! Made my day!!!
Excellent! I’m thrilled when I can watch that soon after it drops as well !
Happy to see Sandi's friend using a lower table to assemble & stamp the boxes. Please get enough tables so everybody's ergonomically benefitting! ❤💕💕
Any business analysts is always appreciated ❤❤❤
Good Luck!
Absolutely agree with this. Work Smarter, not harder when older.😅
You don't think she knows this?
@ She likely does, no one here other than Sandi knows all the angles she has thought about, and continues to think about.
Just as Sandi had Courney assess & modify here ewes' feed, I pray she has a physiotherapist & occupational therapist assess her work practices & give her a care plan for protecting her back from further injury ❤❤💕💕
That machine you use to turn the sheep up side down to trim their feet has GOT to be changed to something a bit easier on your back!
Set an alarm for the advent calendar changed the ringtone for it so I won’t ignore it!!! Can’t wait!!
Got it Woot Woot!!! Sold out in less than 15 minutes, Dude!!!
Thank You For Helping Sandi
I don't know how you accomplish as much as you do! All I can say is thank you!!
Absolutely agree. Well said. Been there, got too many shirts. ❤
Glad you are doing better
I have the same thing, my spine collapsed 40 years ago.

I am always interested in the business side of things. It has been part of your channel for as long as I have been watching. I love it❤❤
You Sold Out in record time! I’m happy I got one!!!🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I hope you're feeling better!! sending love to everyone, from Baton Rouge!! 🥰🐑💙
Yay!! Sandi’s back!! So glad you’re feeling better. ❤️🐑🐏☕️
I’ll be following along on RUclips again this year ❤🐑
Thank you Sandi!! Happy Sunday!
So happy you’re feeling better! And an alarm is already set for Monday’s launch 😂😬
Just be careful Sandi. I have had 5 surgeries. And i am home bound
Please be very careful sweet girl. Love you so much.
Love love love the video. So glad you are feeling better. Shop is really looking good. Your advent is looking great. Glad the mama is doing better. She looked spunky today. Your doctor will probably give you a big bump in calcium. Mine did. Not a big deal.
WOW!!!!You sold out in 2 minutes. So glad I set the alarm on my phone. ❤❤❤ Got mine.

Your family is so hard working, pleasant and sharing. Blessed.
Hi Sandi, best way to end the weekend with a new video. ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing Sandi and prayers for Ruby Sue to feel better and get back to her oldself
of course we are interested, you are part of our life.
...all of y'all!!
Peace. ❤
You are inspiring me! I admire what you are doing with your shop. I've enjoyed watching you grow. Thank you, Sandi.
Will be praying for you and your back. Love from Virginia, USA❤💕💕🥰
Your lightest lamb was as big as your smallest tail ender last time! That's amazing numbers!
My mum was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in the 90’s. She’s in her 80’s now & she’s still walking (though she does need a cane sometimes). You take care of your body & it will take care of you
1am and i am not going to sleep until i see your sheep!! Hi from Broome, Western Australia glad you are better!!!
