DEADWOOD SS25 “LEAVING THE DARK CITY” at Copenhagen Fashion Week

The 7th of August Deadwood presented the upcoming SS25 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
It is a collection about navigating one’s way out of the darker alleyways of the mind, one that celebrates the pragmatic use of whatever is at your disposal to mend what is broken, and the ability to see beauty in everyday objects and to use them to express oneself. This of course rhymes well with the Deadwood core ethos of using recycled, repurposed, or leftover materials whenever it is plausible. The colors in the collection are subdued, ranging from olive green to deep sea navy, interspersed with bright splashes of imperial red. Light technical surplus materials are contrasted with humble natural materials like deadstock denim and recycled cotton. The collection includes upcycled leather of course, but also vegan leather alternatives made from residue from tea production.
As always with Deadwood there is a post-cataclysmic feel, but this time it comes to a bright resolution.
