Thanks for this! Many expats say you need $2K or more. For what?? My wife child and daughter live quite comfortably here in Cebu (Naga area) for less than $1100, including AC, hot water, and other basic costs. It even leaves us with extra to go out to eat and/or travel (not everyday, but fairly often). What is costing other expats so much?
My point exactly! It’s the little habits here and there that we tweak that can make an overall difference Appreciate your comment and thanks for watching I’m glad you found this informative
Thanks for the video. When I visited Cebu earlier this year I felt it would be at least $2,000 to $3,000 month but the areas away from Cebu might be possible for $1,500 to $2,000. That's about 1/3 or 1/4 the cost of what it would be in the USA in a similar sized area. The scooters took some time to adjust as its like Mad Max. LOL
It's up to you to buy expensive food but in our country there are food which you can buy cheaper and tasty. Available anywhere. Everything is cheap and available and it depends upon the place where you live. Watching u from Cairo, Egypt originally from Davao City the Philippines. ❤️🇵🇭🇪🇬 Enjoy guys
OK I'm not trying bust to you out but I'm moving to IT PARK within 28 days ~ I know to budget ~ Well I will not really have a set budget but I'm at $1200 or $1500 tops a month I am staying at Metro Park Hotel - Cebu City where I will be spending $270 or 15K a month ~ So one Question Where are you living? Location because I want to if I drop my rent to less then $200 a month?
No worries I totally understand Its pretty expensive if you’re going to be staying in a Condominium type apartment or similar within IT park, if you’re okay with your current expenses and it doesn’t affect your standard of living then you could stay where you are but if you’d want to stay somewhere about $200 a month (including utility bills) then there’s definitely gonna be some trade offs. There are plenty other super cheap options for example outside of IT park or around Barangay Lahug. Personally I live much further away and my rent and utilities is about $200 a month give or take. Please stay tuned, by this weekend I’ll be dropping a whole new video specifically addressing how to find budget friendly housing and different housing options within Cebu City and hopefully that’ll answer your question in more detail.
@@olalekantoyo Yes I know this!!! Ive been coming to Cebu for the last 10 years on vacation near JY Mall ~ What location are u? not your address but area? I do not have to be educationed on the subject?
@@olalekantoyo Thank you ~ I'm checking it out ~ sorry about being blunt ~ I know you want views but when the thumbnail was $500 a month ~ I said not again?
Who has unlimited monthly income, where they don't have to budget? Probably not the kind of videos for you. People who don't know how to budget are the ones that go bankrupt.

Very true
There is something for everyone and it really depends on what you’re into and where you live

@@KingNewJersey No worries, I actually believe it’s doable
If you have to worry about budget you shouldn't be there. Go home where you have back up.
You may be right, to each his own but I still strongly believe in being able to maximize your resources no matter where you find yourself
@@olalekantoyo Good luck with it.
