  • In this video tutorial, you'll learn how to secure your Amazon EC2 instances, RDS databases, and other AWS VPC-based resources using Security Groups and Network ACLs.
These two security features provide crucial protection from network attacks.
    Here's what you'll discover:
    Understanding Security Groups
🔶 What are Security Groups? Security Groups act as a virtual firewall for your EC2 instances to control inbound and outbound traffic.
🔶 How do they work? You will learn how Security Groups operate at the instance level, allowing only specific IP ranges and traffic types to communicate with your resources.
🔶 Implementation steps: The video will walk you through creating and configuring Security Groups, setting up rules, and associating them with your instances.
Understanding Network ACLs (Access Control Lists)
🔶 What are Network ACLs? Network ACLs are an additional layer of security that act at the subnet level to control traffic in and out of one or more subnets within your VPC.
🔶 How do they differ from Security Groups? You’ll see the differences between Network ACLs and Security Groups, including the stateless nature of Network ACLs compared to the stateful nature of Security Groups.
🔶 Implementation steps: Learn how to create and configure Network ACLs, set up rules, and apply them to your subnets.
    Practical Implementation
🔶 Live demonstration: Watch a step-by-step live demonstration of how to set up and configure Security Groups and Network ACLs.
🔶 Best practices: Learn best practices for managing and optimizing your Security Groups and Network ACLs to ensure maximum security and efficiency.
🔶 Troubleshooting tips: Discover common issues and troubleshooting tips to resolve them quickly.
By the end of the video, you’ll have a solid understanding of how to effectively use Security Groups and Network ACLs to safeguard your AWS resources from network attacks.

I have a question about adding security groups as source inside security group 11:00
What if the security group that we are adding as a source, has another security group as a source inside it. Does it go down so many levels or just one level?
