Wow! How very wonderful! I would like to request you to do a start-to-finish video of one of your larger, or at least medium, size pieces...please. I'm still happily working in the 12x12 range. There seems to be no videos of encaustic artists showing the process on larger works. I know this would take a significant committment to the teaching of encaustic. You are so clearly a person of great skill and I think many of us (me!) would love to see one of your pieces unfold. Thank you very much...
Thank-you for sharing this video, I love that you have your own hives and harvest the wax from there; my question is, do you filter out the particles so it's clearer, or do you keep it the luscious yellowy color? Most wax is filtered, and I've not seen anyone using the pure color of the natural wax before, wow. Beautiful work!!
Hi Georgia. Thank you for the beautiful video. I love your encaustic work - its very inspiring and interesting to see how you create your paintings. You mentioned some kind of alcohol that you set light to but I didn't quite catch your accent (Im from England!) and I wondered if you let me know what it is you use. Thank you.
Hi Georgia,Firstly I think your encaustic paintings are gorgeous, thanks for the video. I see that you haven't relied to any previous comments, but I am going to ask a question anyway and hopefully I get a reply :)In your video you mention that you mix pigments with some sort of alcohol. Would you like to share the correct ratio of ingredients and technique please as I would love to try it on my pieces and I don't want to set my studio on fire! :(Happy painting and kindest regardsCherie
she said denatured alcohol mixed with dry pigment. google denatured alcohol to find it in your area. Also you cantry using light shellac mixed with dry pigments. paunt it on then light it on fire. the shellac burns quickly and goes out leaving a beautiful amber crackle to the wax finish. Patricia Seggebruch has videos here on youtube using shellac and dry pigment burns on encaustic.

I think she said "denatured alcohol". :)
Its methylated spirits in the UK.
Very impressive art work!! I wonder what you used as a white solution when you mix with resin. If you inform me I will be very glad. Thank you.
I hope you wear a mask to protect yourself. Thanks for sharing.
