Very nice. Love the sound of them flatslides running. I have when the jumper cables always pops off these little batteries..lol. great job on saving another old school to last a few more generations. Oldshool rules..✌
I love a mixed up old school gsxr... this slabshot (sic) is right up my street. I'd maybe take the slabshot idea into the bodywork... but I never know when to stop. Good build D!
That's another bitching clean GSXR you have saved from the junkyard love watching your videos DTP o by the way can you give Rosey a pat on her back and tell her hello from Las Vegas NV
Noticed that you lay your hand on the 4-1 / to feel if the 4 headers where equally warm - and the cylinders is firing - or not. Well. Just the other week gixxed to work for the first time in 2021 - Sweden - about +3c, - and - the motor felt like a lawnmover on diesel :_-/ Tested your "lay your hands on the headers", and, noticed a dead-cold cylinder, - nr #3 - "the third from Left, if sitting on the beast". WEll. Have chooped off 5mm of all the cables, and screwed back the ..well.. in english - thingys that hold the Tändstift. Now - testing inside - the idle is like before , automn 2020, when the bike was like a rocket - and - the all the Four Headers get WARM - BUT - feels like the headerPipe all to the Left, and the one All to the Right - gets Hotter then the middle ones at idle?? Just wondering if thats kinda normal? Thanks in Advance, mr. Gixxer-Guru!
Just bought a 1991 GSXR1100, ported top and Mikuni flatsides 36ish. Wonder a bit about the idle-rpm: I´ve heard that a higher idle-rpm flushes more oil around, and therefore is better for the engine. Mine is around 1700-1900rpm. Do not like the "Clonk"-sound when 1st gear gets connected :/ Perhaps around 1300rpm is alright? ...although..Id rather have a "clonk"-sound, than getting less oil than needed..
@@dannytheplumber7394 True! No Idle, just weight that gashandle down :) I´ll turn the rpm´s down a bit - to ´bout 13-1500´s. Also - changed the gearing from standard Front15/back48: to Front16/back 45. Should make the 5:th kinda lika a 6:th. Though, perhaps make the 1:th into a second gear... ;.-) ...well.. Guess I´ll have to stay on the motorway - and at the same time keep the idling to a minimum :-)
@@smithwesson629 The oiling system on these Suzukis is faultless, the oil pump is pumping oil around just fine at idle you don't need to increase the idle, Factory manual suggests 1100 RPM for idle speed.

There are no oiling issues. If you want to lower the rpm it should be fine. You're only idling when you're standing still,,,,,,ride.
