- Today we are going to change rear brake discs and pads on 7th generation Honda Accord VII 2.2i-CTDi (CN1) (2002-2008) with N22a1 engine. Rear rotors looked rusted so it was obvious that there was a problem with braking system. After removing brake caliper we found out that lower guide pin was stuck. This can be the cause of uneven pad wear. One more problem that we faced was seized rotor screw. To unscrew it we had to heat the bolt and use impact screwdriver.
Seized brake caliper slide pin symptoms are: uneven brake pad wear, dragging sensation, uneven brake rotor wear and more.
