It’s funny that as popular as “Pet Sematary” is no one seems to be able to remember the pet sematary doesn’t bring things back from the dead. Even The Ramones didn’t get that right because that lyric “I don’t want to be buried in a pet sematary, I don’t want to live my life again.” Is assuming the pet sematary brings you back. It’s the Indian burial ground beyond that that resurrects dead things.

Rouge is even more terrifying when you realise it's based off of a true story. 2 guys in NT spent 22 hours up a tree as a croc stalked them and showed off the body of their friend.

crocodiles become a little less scary when you realize that slipping a rubber band over its snout would be enough to stop it. seriously, their bite force is insanely strong, but the force that goes behind them opening their mouths is almost nonexistant
My rat nightmares were the best movie that i had in all my lifetime, it all started when i was 7 y old: a cat scared me to death when i was sleeping and i confused his eyes ( tinge of red / green / yellow ) for another animal. No one and i mean it, no movie maker can describe and make those surreal dreams i had for like 9 years after that jumpscare i had. My rats where in different sizes (the most big ones where the size of a bear) , always menacing, big fangs and nails, red eyes, they were in packs of hundreds, the sound they make inside a heavy nightmare is insane. Human brain is the real artist here.
As some people already mentioned, Amaconda deserves a place in this list. But I'm really surprised there's no dinosaurs from Jurassic Park franchise, Spinosaur and Rexy were scary as hell.
This could easily have been a top 50. So many honorable mentions come to mind.... Tarantulas from Kingdom of the Spiders. Graboids from Tremors. Critters. Etc.

What's scary about Cujo is that rabies can do that to an animal in real life. That is what I feel makes the fear factor of the film so effective.
