And today look how far we haven't come
We moved to Cardiff in 1975. I was shocked how grim & desperate it seemed. I’ve never moved, and can appreciate how much it’s improved
I was at Albany Infants School in Roath in 1975!
My Aunt worked in the cigar factory.

People used to make stuff everywhere.....I wish we could bring local industry back.

Callaghan was the local MP when they closed East Moors Steelworks, in 77 or 78 I think.

Because of greedy unscrupulous employers.

Great film, but that music.
Yes, and I hate it too...not least because the music came with the original film and it is copyrighted, so the film has to have adverts on it which I can't stand either!

Hideous music! I must admit that the place didn't look so dated back then. I graduated from UCC that year and I remember it well :-)
