  • With the annexation of the Qarakhitay country to the Mongol Empire, the two superpowers of that period, the Khwarezmshah Empire and the Mongol Empire, became border neighbours and made a trade agreement by sending envoys. However, when this agreement was broken by the governor of Otrar of Khwarezmshahs and the merchants were executed. The confrontation of these two countries was inevitable.
In this video, we tell you about Genghis Khan's Khwarezm Campaign.

After the battle of Parwan, the local tribes separated from Sultan due to conflict over booty.

Wrong battle. What happened was that one of the brothers, Saif-ud-Din, had an argument with Temur Malik and left with his ~30 000 soldiers (almost half of the army).

Karakorum at this point was not the capital of the Mongol Empire yet till 1235. Though Ghenghis arrayed his army in Karakorum in 1219 for the invasion of Khwarezim

At that time, there was no Karakhanid Khanate in Xinjiang, which had been destroyed for 100 years. Genghis Khan conquered the Western Liao Empire (1124-1218) in 1218 and then went to war with Khwarazm.

Enjoyed your video style and the use of the map. However, your narrative has many areas where you deviate from established literature and omit important things. A sample include - Genghis' attitude to the West, his reasons to come West, sequence of the battles for Otrar and Bukhara, I now of no source that says Genghis asked for Inalchuk to be turned over to him - rather he asked for him to be punished by Mohammed II and restitution. You're missing the action in Fergana Valley after the declaration of war. My sources include John Man and Jeremiah Curtin. Please review. It would be great tonhave this be more in line with establushed sources. This is a very important campaign - one of the greatest campaigns in Military History.
