- I hate doing negative reviews, I see the positives in most vehicles and can find ways to make them sing like a fine wine given enough time and energy. This tank though...this tanks just a pile of poop tickets. If you want a big tier 9 alpha medium drive the Centurion 7/1. It’s got a laser beam gun, massive apcr pen for tough targets running calibrated shells and 230mm of pen on a 440 alpha HESH round, plus a great turret and 10* of gun depression...and more base dpm...jfc this tanks a terrible terrible tank.

Yeah what terrible handling. Don’t get me wrong, it really does, but like, really....?
On PC it had 244 pen and a low(not horrible, just low, as it had one of the worse between meds, it was higher than almost every Heavy) DPM.
They just nerfed this thing when they did put it on Blitz.
The worst part is that the high DPM 122mm gun was it's strong point.

they should buff the two WZ so that they can do a SOLID 420 dmg per shot
also buff the reload and penetration. The Chinese in PC are like T49 with good pen and faster reload. They should be able to trade with heavies, support their partner, flank, etc.
They'll probably buff it sometime soon, but in the meantime, at least it looks nice, ay?
That and at 4:05 or so u keep letting autoaim dance back and forth, gotta hit the FV square in the face ;)

So I watched avengers infinity war today. And I think Dpm,gun depression,armour etc is like infinity stones
Bush, am I the only one who feels the STB could get a slight buff in terms of turret armour profile. It's exceptionally lack luster as of nowadays. It used to be able to sit on a ridge and pick off targets with its exceptional DPM and epic curvature of the turret. Now however, I feel like although I tank the same way I always used to, I just get penned through the face almost 80% of the time. Sure, it has gun depression, which it's trade off is no hull armour, but for a great turret. Now however, no matter how much I wiggle, jiggle and jink back and fourth, I'm just getting hammered through the face, which is very sad when your drive a hull down tank with its hallmarks being gun handling, depression and turret armour. Then you compare it to a T-62, where it's armour is decent enough to bait shots etc, and then it's turret it just unpennable anywhere apart from the 2 pancake flat hatches on top, which if he is moving is incredibly difficult to reliably hit. Sure, he doesn't have alot of gun depression, however, he is easily able to relocate on the map and go bully some other tank. I can either sit hull down and be stupidly dormant, or I can play aggressive, utilize my hitpoints and usually jeopardise my tanks survivability. The other issue is if a 62 can take a receding ridge or undulation, only exposing the front plate a some stupid angle and only the turret poking out the top with his gun just buttering right through my turret. On the other hand, I'm barely able to go through him. So, I dunno, I just feel it needs a turret buff.
Don't get me wrong though, I still do very well in the tank, so this isn't a complaint, but rather a suggestion. I mean just today I had a 6.3k game with 5 kills and yesterday picked up a pools medal with 5.5k, so it's not like I struggle to do well in it, but I see others seriously just getting sausaged in it, where I'm not saying that you must be a veteran of the game or anything, but you just have thorough understanding of what is too aggressive and what is just right. This isn't like a Russian medium, it is not forgiving if you screw up. This tank requires that you drive it in a particular manner, it isn't easily able to conform to different play style like Russian meds. That being said, this is still my favourite tank in game, despite it being inferior in many aspects to alot of top tier vehicles. It's also safe to say the T-62 is performing a little too well, but I digress, this shouldn't be a bickering fest.

WG should buff the AP penetration of the 122 mm gun by 20 mm, and nerf the aiming time by 1 second.
Tim Smith also give it a slightly higher alpha like is-4 and maybe 5* gun depression

Joren Baplu actually, if you try to drive almost any tank like this one then you’re probably gonna fail miserably.
You can’t drive an E100 like you drive a Leo.
Just like you can’t drive any other tank like you would a WZ-120 and expect to do even better.
I ground this out to get to the wz-121 pre-4.9... I have done significant damage to my statistics and self-esteem. It's like 575,000 XP to unlock the Tier X and all the modules... I'm glad I did because now the new heavy line will be quicker and also I had no other tanks to grind... but honestly - thank you Bushka! You have confirmed that in this isntance a good workman can indeed blame his tools. *significant crying + salt*

The 120 is so unforgiving. Even the stock grind is discouraging, but the elited version is still a strain on the mind to play compared to other meds

Bushka... this tank is an angel compared to the m46 stock grind.
EVEN IF you had this to stock grind, you always could just spend time to grind the Chinese heavies which you say are pretty impressive. That alone will get you the top 100mm gun as well as the engine modules. It’s not as bad as you say this is because honestly gun depression doesn’t come into play unless you have to work over elevation differences, which will not be entirely a problem in half the maps if you know where to go on both flanks in a map.
However, I think another tank deserves a much better buff than this. The m46 would be an unlikely candidate but that’s what people want you to think. When I first bought it I thought it would be slightly better than the Pershing, but guess what? Stock it’s worse than a tank 1 tier below it. Far worse power to weight ratio than the Pershing, extremely bad for a medium tank overall, abysmal armor protection, not even on the turret unless the mantlet comes into play, and the t15... like the leopard prototype’s 90mm gun but less accurate, slower firing and WWII style gun handling. Cross tech tree commonalities? What a joke. The Americans are cursed with having different variants of engines which by all means are too similar to not be different. But they are, and it makes grinding incredibly bad going down the American tech tree. There’s simply nothing good about the m46 Patton in any form or shape when stock grinding, and I think power creep has turned its stock form into a pile of burning hot and stinking garbage.

Actually, I do like the tank. For some reason, I'm good at driving that thing even though the tank is shit and yes, I do concur. I don't know, I'm bad at driving heavies but for some reason I can drive this. Peculiar isn't it?

Also 10 degrees of gun depression doesn’t matter if your armor is thinner than your foreskin. Hence I would argue the m46 would be worse.

Okay I know what you said and I'm not a great player 55% 32k battles but Iiked this entire line once I upgraded them all WZ 121 is my favorite med and wz 120 with 122mm gun I found interesting and I enjoyed it a lot.
Yeah it's not as good as other tier 9s but it's a very interesting different tank.

I'm currently 56% in this tank through sheer luck and a tiny bit of nouse. It's taking away my soul to play it though...As soon as i see a map with predominantly ridges my heart sinks...

Wz-120 is bad but try to drive the ST-I with no modules while u fsrm the exp for the gun and the turret,i have been doing that for 1 month and its a hell... 170mm pen u cant pen anyone lmao and u complaining about wz120 lol

You have APCR for that. If you know how to utilise it properly, the ST-I isn't that hard to grind. WZ-120 on the other hand... the 122mm is just pure crap.
The general idea is to go for IS8 first and from there, you'll get the better gun to help you with ST-1 grind.

The WZ-120 isn't that bad. I can drive it just fine without the gun depression, and the 122mm is imo, better then the 100mm. The 100mm is not that great.
That tank low rolls all the time, and you get the same alpha as a regular 100mm

They have just put the Chinese line in for a lol against the Russian line. Did some reaching and no Chinese tank had -3 dr of gun depression. Go figure. The good thing going for the Chinese lines is the turret armour.

I had 8450 in the old e3 anyone can farm damage on any tank sitting at the back against a bad team has very little to do with the quality of the tank
Bushka On Blitz that's call camping which i despise the most, u say the tank is bad but I don't see any problem I get mostly 3k-4k average damage in most of my game. -3 gun depression is a pain for sure but I dont think there's a problem I manage just fine and what's more I enjoy WZ-120 than the tier 8 anyone can say any tank bad but how about the driver. Btw u think tier 8 and tier 9 dont have trash braindead teammates? I get tons of it but then I got WZ-121 while enjoying WZ-120 along the way and I haven't seen anyone got 6k damage in a game in WZ-121.

But the E-50 has 220 mm pen and t-54 has 219 mm pen
e50 also has a whole lot more dpm a lazer of a gun can get more gun depression and has a really good armour profile
the t54 has crazy dpm a great gun awesome mobility a bit more gun depression and a whole lot better armour profile
what does the wz 120 get...........a 400 alfa gun only 50 more than the e50 and 90 more than the t54 all in all its a shit tank!!!!!

I hate tier 9, those in tier 10 tear you apart, and those in tier 8 also get you, I think it's the worst tier
This tank probably has a bit more going for it than you give it credit for. Is it mobile? Yes. Is the armor decent? Yes (I was shooting at its side with 268 mm of pen on my Cent 7/1 and bounced twice). The gun sucks in terms of dispersion and DPM, but the penetration is still exactly what you'd get on an M46 or E 50, and is higher than the T-54. But the gun depression is horrible, along with other aspects of the tank. I've never driven it, but I still don't want to rate it too poorly. And keep in mind that not everyone has tons of free xp or money that they can spend on this stuff. It's definitely the worst tier 9 med (probably tank as well) but I wouldn't say that 90% of the player base can just skip over it.

Hull down don't expose your hull , as for stock , just stick with your team's mediums load shitons of prammo , be a sneaky grub , if you're the only med in your team , don't even think about going alone you'll get rekt

omg XD I've been into same but then I literally just played premium tanks for credits then spammed prammo in it , especially when the MM puts you at tier 10 or 9 while you are stock , literal pain , but the tank itself , once it is full , it is the most powerful med at it's tier , the gun is decent there's 2 guns ( I used the one that lead to OBJ140) each has different characteristics , I preferred the OBJ one which gives you faster reload and slightly decreased penetration than the T62A one , hills and small bumps around the map are your best friends since you are literally so low to the ground you can use anything as cover !!
Just wait till its fully upgraded, its Nice! Just learn to angle and stay hull down.

Royce Wells I agree with bushka on this tank. Grinded both the Japanese and Chinese medium lines and the WZ121 is much much worse than the type 61.
I think the tank sucks because you're misusing the equipment
1. if you are going to face tier 10 you need more penetration
2. the tank has good reticula closure so it is better than projectile speed .... supercharge
3. is how you use the tank, if you are going to shoot at distance or precision

you're complaining about the wz 120, but what about the T-34-3? that thing is insanely weak for a tier 8 tank. that deserves a buff more than the wz 120. worse hull and turret armor than T-34-2, meh mobility, meh gun accuracy, bad gun depression, really bad rate of fire, really bad pen for tier 8.... like, how are you supposed to compete against other tier 8s with bad gun dep, rof, and pen? wg pls buff T-34-3.
So your telling me I spent more than 3m credits a few thousand gold(free xp) and a crap amount of time in the T-34-2 just to get a tank thats trash asf....
