Thanks for sharing! Yes! I totally agree that the food prices are unbelievable high everywhere. I’m always looking for sales too. Gas here is crazy also! Have a great week!
So awesome you have the RUclips award on the wall! I am so glad I found your channel, a few years now. I have learned many ways to look at life in different ways, tips, ideas, lots of food ideas from you. Look forward to your videos. All the Best Amy and Family.
That last store you went into looked great. I would love to go thru picking out different fruits and veggies to try. How fun!! I hope your day went well, I will see you tomorrow!! ❤🙏😎
When I’ve been in the Bradenton area on vacation I’ve always had good luck getting cheap produce at the Red Barn flea market in the outside stalls. Granted I haven’t been there in a few years but it might be worth checking out.
You said you wanted to learn how to make pita bread if you watch Becky from Acres Homestead she just recently made pita bread, and it looked extremely easy. You might want to check it out
Love the variety of beautiful tropical fruits 🥰🍍🥥🍐guavas are soo good! I love dragonfruit but they are super pricey (at least here); Try the yellow ones if you can, much sweeter.
I'm in England, so it's really interesting seeing what fresh fruit and veg you get, and at what time they're in season. We get corn, but not until the autumn. Most of the rest of it you'd be hard pressed to find fresh, let alone even vaguely local!! And they'd be so expensive for such a small amount. You should see if there's any type of international supermarket, such as an asian one. They often sell fruit and veg for good prices, and ones you won't necessarily find elsewhere (in the UK at least!)
Hi amy is great to see again god bless.my brother and his family move from Tampa to north Carolina because is.way cheap then florida..i live in new Jersey in Sussex is high cost but not too much but is still painful.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Acre Homestead just made a Greek themed meal and she made homemade pita bread. Just thought you could look here up and watch her. May give you an idea.
Makes me wonder how much you really go to Aldo if you have never seen the gear lol. And the boxes are about empty because those things fly off the shelves! I got an Aldo hoodie for the dog. Thanks for sharing.
Wow your prices are sooooo cheap compared to Canada !! Everything you bought is at least four times the price . Our grapes are 6$ per pound . A pack of bologna is around 6.99$ .. I’m so jealous of your prices
I kid you not, but I'm in Australia and my local IGA had a whole green cabbage for $25 a couple of weeks ago. $25! 😮 I needed it for a recipe, so I bought a wombok instead and substituted it. The wombok was only $5, for a good-sized one.
@@jorobinson6640 Good for you! I grew some heirloom bok choy (Chinese cabbage) this past cool season. Is that the same as wombok? It was really easy to grow!
@@toomanythoughtsinmyhead ... Bok choy is leafy (think more Asian Greens) than what we call wombok in Australia. A wombok looks more like a cabbage - only longer and leafier, but with a full head like a cabbage. If you Google wombok in Google images, you'll get the idea. :)
@@jorobinson6640 Ohh, yes, that's what we call Napa cabbage where I come from. Also called Chinese cabbage. 😅🙄 Good choice! Well, I learned all about Chinese cabbages today and I didn't expect it! Good luck, I hope you can grow some.
I never buy almond milk for my family. So easy to make almond milk. All you do is suck raw almonds over night and cover the drain of the water then put almond and water into a blender and mix put a cheesecloth into a drainer and pour into the cheesecloth to get all the little paces on almond pour intact a gallon jug and refrigerator we can add sugar and vanilla.
I'm glad you can make that salsa, which sounded amazing! I hope though next time treat yourself and get the 5 dollar jar for yourself! You deserve it!!

@keshiaselph8165 personally I say yes...the glass is nice..it looks nicer but you see the fingerprints and like I said it does scratch. So unless you are super careful and have no other people that could potentially scratch it...lol then I would go with wood.
Good morning Maryon family. When I was young I hated canning season. I'm so glad I learned how to can. I always said if you got meat and potatoes and green beans you got it all. It seems so good when canning is done. It's hard work but worth it when you look at the store prices. Big corporations are getting richer off the poor. They think they can take it with them. Have a great day 🙏💙🙏
NY food prices are higher in my stores. I try to buy sales and go to BJs for some items. After a while you just know prices for each store. Some staples I get are less expensive on Amazon!
We live in NC and I buy on sale. I get name brand vegetables for soups and chili for .58 a can. I hate having to go from store to store but there not far apart. We get chicken .98 a pd and pork for $1.78 a pd or less. Insurance is a bad problem here. It went up $400 more a yr this yr. It's crazy. Have a good day.
Good morning. Did you check Aldi for egg roll wrappers? It seems like a product they would sell. I hope your fruit journey has been a good one. Have a tremendous Tuesday and I will see ya tomorrow
I loved seeing your cart full of fruits and veggies. I am trying to eat healthy. Try not to break the budget, but have enough fruits to last 2 weeks is kinda of hard when some fruit is so expensive. Strawberries have been so expensive at Costco.
Oh and I did see when I got back from my trip that you do have the bologna salad recipe in your cookbook that I have I cannot wait to try it now that I got my hands on the bologna😊
OMGoodness! Have you thought about how dirty the cart is? Please bag your food! I know you wash everything when you get home. I just wouldn't trust the cleanliness of the store cart that is used multiple times a day. (Even with young children sitting in them).

Yes I seen the $10 watermelons in Sam's and I just can't do it I'm going to pray that when my locals start selling some they'll be better price than that I just cannot do that that's insane for a watermelon❤❤
@@merediths9667minimum wage in Florida is $12.00 an hour until September when it goes to 13. 12.00 is equal to $16.59 Canadian. Min wage in Alberta, Canada is $15.00 per hour. The cost of living here in Florida has gone up more than ever before since COVID and so many northerners moved here. You can make grape jelly with stroke bought juice like Welch’s 🥰
We are starting to make more things at home to save money. Prices are getting ridiculous, even in Central Iowa.

I’ve been making more things from scratch but some things I won’t. Hope they like the fruit. 💖
Plums should be bought with the stem in the plum. When it is removed the inside starts rotting. I learned this from a plum farmer.

Honey Bell oranges are very juicy and are great for fresh juice
Please use cooking oil for jackfruit. Your hand wont be sticky 😅

That is interesting thank you
