Nice watch...last 4 months I have an eye on this watch..."Beauty In Simplicity"...fits this watch very well...this is most probably going to be my next buy. Definitely an Intra-Matic but I don't know which size and which combo colour scheme. Nice review...congrats for the watch...Enjoy
Hi, I've been on a hunt for a affordable dress watch that is not a fashion-watch, after watching this review on and off for some time I decided to buy one.
Do you know if there is any anti-reflective coating on the crystal? I have another hamilton that has no AR coating and it's really hard to see the dial past all the reflections.
Just for info, I purchased this in the 42 mm size. It wears like a 47 or 48 mm. Should have gotten the 38 mm. Beware, this watch where is a very large because it is all face.
bb bb I disagree. I too have the 42mm version. Indeed it LOOKS like a slightly bigger watch, but It WEARS exactly as a 42...On the contrary the fact that it is very slim make it far more wearable than my others 42 watches. Anyway I agree that before choosing it is always better to try the two versions when possible.
@@GreenHoleSun do you happen to have a pic of your 42 mm intramatic on your wrist? I am thinking of getting that one but would love to see it on a wrist to get some comparison. Thanks.
I bought this watch today. It is mint condition and hardly worn. Only paid £395 British Pounds. And it is still has some warranty left on it. It had been in the shop window since January and I offered £300, too low, so asked him what he paid for it, was £360, I know he has a business to run so made the offer of a bit over 10% over his purchase price, which he accepted. A bargain and I really do like the watch.
Way to bring back that sixties simple elegance. Not a fan of PVD but it really fits this watch, kind of gives more charm and personality. The dial finish and cleanliness is spot on including the omission of the seconds hand, in a dress watch, less is more. The date window is unnecessary, but they way it’s done, it almost goes unnoticed and it is always a welcome feature. I’d only take away that intra-matic text and make the Hamilton font on the clasp match that retro one found on the dial. Otherwise, a compelling proposition and I dare to say, a modern classic, certainly at this price point!
Pretty nice looking as a dress watch for that occasional wear, otherwise a bit of a yawn as a daily driver. Not having a seconds hand only adds to the dullness.
It's definitely a beautiful watch - but a touch too conservative. My burgundy Hamilton jazzmaster thinline has the classicism of this watch, but with some modern features.
I really like the look of this watch. I don't mind the absence of a second hand, it reminds me of my grandfather's old Longines dress watch.
I have this in 38mm black dial with bracelet. I do not miss the second hand at all on this dress watch. It's one of my favorites in my collection.
Very well done Hamilton, you hit on everything I like about the style of the time period. Great review also. Thanks
The best-looking minimalist watch.
I wished they included a second hand.
Please no keep it sinple
@@Chyphor Still simple. I would rather have a seconds hand than the datewindow.
I’d even be okay without a date tbh. But pls no seconds. Just keep it simple and contemporary
If it had a second I would buy it in a hardbeat
One of my favourite Hamiltons. Well done on the video. Really well shot!

Never buy the gold plated, it fades away after a while!
Seriously? Do you have one?
I just received my intromantic automatic Hamilton stainless steel watch today it's truly a beautiful time piece I'm very pleased with it

Awesome!

That's a beautiful piece. Have a vintage 60's Prisma Incabloc that looks a lot like it... ☺

Gorgeous watch, but given the price I think would go with an Orient Bambino, even though this does look more authentically retro.

As much as I love the look, not having a second hand is a thumbs down for me. If they could just add a sweeping second hand it would add so much.
Curtis A.R I'd rather have a clean small seconds subdial where the date is.. That would look awesome i think
Best watch under 1000 $.

Thanks for the good review; convinced me to buy one and very pleased....
but who executes the executioners? ... I ordered it in silver, 38mm
Sunburst silver dials always look amazing, esp on the intramatic
Movement ? Is it a 694-A ? Where’s the second hand?
The hands look silver here, but in other photos it looks black-ish. Could you tell me please the color? Thanks.
As always, pithy and informative. Thanks so much for your great reviews!!
The lack of seconds hand bothers me. I just can’t set up a watch with out Synchronizing the hands. It’s blasphemy.
I have the 38 mm. version, very reminiscent of my father's Longines 30L. Dress watch don't need second hand, it's unuseful.
I have been watching and watching this watch but I really dont know which color is best? Gold, Silver or Black?
+probability162 All of them. I having a silver one with black band and now I'm debating picking up another one. Highly recommended.
The chrome colored one is the best, the gold plated fades away during time!
Also I purchase the watch because it did not have a second-hand how intriguing and classic
Stunning
An excellent review. Thank you.
accuracy?? movement specs??
Thanks for a great review. do update the link to the written review on your website.
Great review as always!
hargax berapa ya bro
Con này làm 3 kim thì quá đẹp
I wish this had a seconds hand.
I wish it had a sub seconds dial instead of date :P
Buy a different watch then . Plenty of other options

ok. thanks
Need that lug to lug height my man
It says 44.25 in the opening dimensions
beautiful.
If this 38mm they will sale much more, come on Hamilton
Nice...ll
Is this real gold ?
Hahahaha, PVD coated.

No such thing as too conservative ;)
They’d sell twice as many of these if the piece had a second hand
