YES!!! Saw these kids in concert a few years ago when they opened for Loverboy and they are the real deal. Melody has the best female rock voice in 30 years. Sam is a top tier guitar player. I also recommend you next listen to their original "Mars" live in Cumming, Georgia. I suggest an original song next so as not to be constantly comparing them to the original artist. Then move on to some of their other covers. All of their songs are fire.
What grabbed me about this band couple years ago was Melody's insane vocals, AND what stands out from the other young rock bands out there. The other bands may have killer musicians, but if the singer is not up to par, then the whole band is off my list. The next thing that grabbed me, was Liliac's amazing talented and very young, (at the time), musicians. Since then, I have seen and enjoyed them grow and get better with time and I'll be there to see them become famous. They are truly good humans!! #RORH
For witnessing Melody's vocal range, and styles, "Sail Away" is the absolute choice. Not to take away from all the rest of the songs they do, which are amazing as well, but that song really showcases both her soft & hard sides.

They played the 2019 Kruise and were the talk of the ship that Kiss immediately booked them for there final Kruise this year. I'm glad to see you reacting to Liliac. This is the American member of the great family heavy bands NAFTA, along with The Warning from Mexico and Motion Device from Canada. This is totally Melody Christea's normal natural voice, which is MILES better than Dave Mustaine's vocals. His vocals are very thin, so this was in no way copying his vocals, since if anything it's the opposite. Not forced at all. She always sounds just like this. Her main influence vocally is actually Ronnie James Dio, which fits, since she sounds like him normally. Janis Joplin and Melissa Etheridge weren't forcing this sound either; it's a unique vocal that is normal for her. Their songwriting is still developing out of the cover stage, but they have two excellent originals; namely, "Mars" and "Mystery". A third original is also very good, which is "Sail Away".

BTW Tom, that is her natural singing sound. She has some real rasp, and that is one reason why Holy Diver cover, and their original song Nothing sounds so godly good. She nails those, also so does Sam with guitar solo's.
You will be shocked then. She is naturally raspy/smokey. However, Dio was her main inspiration. While you are new to these kids, Michael Batio, Rudy Sarzo and Vinny Appice aren't. Melody has done GoDPS videos with them. Vinny Appice has a long relationship with these kids. Melodio as Appice calls her just sang four songs previously sang by Dio with them at a show in Kentucky. Stewart Copeland of The Police played during a documentary he was making with them on the Santa Monica Pier. They have many original songs as well as covers. These kids go back to when Melody was 11 and Sam(guitarist) sang with her with Abigail (the drummer) playing accordion. Ethan and Justin would have still been in car seats at that point I think. Papa Liliac is a music producer by trade and the kids were interested in music and here we are. He keeps them independent so this is filmed in their basement of their new house where they are raising money through Go fund me to make into a working studio. He manages them as well and Mama Liliac takes care of the merch. Their original Nothing was actually filmed in their apartment in Downy, CA during lockdown You have a very deep rabbit hole you are venturing down that will end in a bat cave (Liliac is Romanian for bat) and you will be "fanged". I'm 66 years old, and I've been a fan of Liliac for 3 years. I was never a Megadeth fan, and even though I'm sure they do a great job with this, I'm just not a fan of the song itself. Listen to one of their originals, like Mars, Sail Away or Chain of Thorns. Their cover of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself For Loving You" is great too. Everything has been said. However, I just say: they, especially the older siblings, are huge fans of Dio. They have some great covers of Ronnie James Dio, and Melody, the singer, is very influenced by him in her stage presence. Not quite Martin, since Dracula is a fictional character. Their parents are from Transylvania, the region which contains the castle of Vlad Tepes, better known as Vlad the Impaler. It is from his bloody history that some of the Dracula nonsense comes. But, both parents moved to the U.S. in their early teens, and all the kids were born and raised in America.

BTW Tom, that is her natural singing sound. She has some real rasp, and that is one reason why Holy Diver cover, and their original song Nothing sounds so godly good. She nails those, also so does Sam with guitar solo's.
You will be shocked then. She is naturally raspy/smokey. However, Dio was her main inspiration. While you are new to these kids, Michael Batio, Rudy Sarzo and Vinny Appice aren't. Melody has done GoDPS videos with them. Vinny Appice has a long relationship with these kids. Melodio as Appice calls her just sang four songs previously sang by Dio with them at a show in Kentucky. Stewart Copeland of The Police played during a documentary he was making with them on the Santa Monica Pier. They have many original songs as well as covers. These kids go back to when Melody was 11 and Sam(guitarist) sang with her with Abigail (the drummer) playing accordion. Ethan and Justin would have still been in car seats at that point I think. Papa Liliac is a music producer by trade and the kids were interested in music and here we are. He keeps them independent so this is filmed in their basement of their new house where they are raising money through Go fund me to make into a working studio. He manages them as well and Mama Liliac takes care of the merch. Their original Nothing was actually filmed in their apartment in Downy, CA during lockdown You have a very deep rabbit hole you are venturing down that will end in a bat cave (Liliac is Romanian for bat) and you will be "fanged". I'm 66 years old, and I've been a fan of Liliac for 3 years. I was never a Megadeth fan, and even though I'm sure they do a great job with this, I'm just not a fan of the song itself. Listen to one of their originals, like Mars, Sail Away or Chain of Thorns. Their cover of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself For Loving You" is great too. Or even their covers of Metallica'a "Enter Sandman" or Janis Joplin's "A Piece of my Heart" Live, on tour in Cummings Georgia.

My first exposure to Liliac was "Nothing". It shows the real metal voice she has. The video is in black and white and made to look old. They were a little younger, as well. 12 to 21 years old.

As both a huge Nightwish AND Liliac fan, I actually prefer Liliac's version of this song. As great as Marco is, he just didn't do it for me on this particular song.

Everything has been said. However, I just say: they, especially the older siblings, are huge fans of Dio. They have some great covers of Ronnie James Dio, and Melody, the singer, is very influenced by him in her stage presence. Her voice fits very well with many classic bands as Dio, Maiden, Megadeth, Ozzy, Janis Joplin. I like their covers.
As someone mentioned, they have two original albums that are good.

I think the best cover for her is Hate Myself for Loving you. I believe she did it better than Joan Jett.
All of there music is very good original music and covers. They write all of their originals.
You need to listen to more of Liliac. They have originals also. Melody has a voice like no other. They record a lot of their videos in their basement. Their dad is in the music business. Check out live and originals. Everything they do is great.

But Tahlequah Enter Sandman. Janis Joplin. Iron maiden. Ozzy. Joan Jett. They crushed every cover that they have done putting their own little twist into the mix. These kids are talented

Not quite Martin, since Dracula is a fictional character. Their parents are from Transylvania, the region which contains the castle of Vlad Tepes, better known as Vlad the Impaler. It is from his bloody history that some of the Dracula nonsense comes.
But, both parents moved to the U.S. in their early teens, and all the kids were born and raised in America.
They like to think of their covers as "Tributes" .

Been expecting you to do more Liliac since you can't believe her voice is real. Melody Christea should not be compared to anyone, her voice is distinctly hers. More Liliac please, their originals are mind blowing.
Liliac (pronounced Lily-Ak) is a band of 5 brothers and sisters that have been playing together for several years. Sam (lead guitar) is 22, Abigail (drums) is 21, Melody (lead vocals and sometimes bass) is 19, Ethan (bass and rhythm guitar) is 15, and Justin (keyboard and soon to add rhythm guitar) is 14. The Cristea family was from Los Angeles but last year moved to Georgia. The father Florin Cristea, and mother Nineta, were both originally from Romania. Both their families moved to the United States when the two were children. They met in the US and were married and began their family thereafter.
The word Liliac is Romanian for Bat.
They began as the Cristeas when Sam was about 13 or 14 years old. At that time, it was just Sam, Abigail, and Melody, as the two boys were really too young. They did covers.

Living in Downey, California the band honed their skills playing on the Santa Monica Pier every weekend for several years. As they gained their confidence and stage presence, the crowds grew bigger and bigger until the police had to have them stop because the crowds were getting too big.
