  • Mixed and central venous O2 used to really confuse me. Questions on tests destroyed me and clinical interpretation made no sense. Then finally it clicked and I wanted to share with everyone the metaphor I use to understand what’s happening. After this, my hope is you will never have to memorize this topic again!

    Great explanation! Just one question though- Anemia causes a high cardiac output failure in the long term. So is it okay to expect a gradual increase in SvO2 in the course of untreated anemia?
