This is really a 5200 rpm? The spindle motor pitch sounds like a 5400 (B versus an A# of a 5200), especially compared to the 87000D8 you showcased a while back.
Maxtor documentation about the DiamondMax 2160 is saying 5200RPM, speedsys also appears to agree saying 5235. Now I don’t know if it is possible to confirm with 100% certainty if it is actually the case or not.

Speedsys says 5235 rpm, the maker of speedsys used an opened drive with a tachometer, then implemented the speed value in speedsys.
