- A short fly-over of the new Leven railway station as it looked recently. Some facts and figures thrown in for good measure (courtesy of Network Rail's website). This development sees the railway return to Levenmouth after 50 years and is due to open by spring next year.
After 8 days you deserve a second like and comment, it is great to see the station coming along.
Thanks you Andrew
That good to bring it back again
Let’s hope the locals consider restoring the link from Leven to St.A passing through or close by the East Neuk villages. Must be tourism mileage in that and the golfers.
Thank you for this. Even from 400 miles away (Chichester) I’m excited to see the re-instatement of railway links lost long ago. What are the chances of the eventual re-linking of Edinburgh and Carlisle?
Thanks Paul, there’s always plenty talk about reopening more routes. But, who knows!
The station is only about 8 miles away from the main line at Thornton, Edinburgh and Dundee,Perth,Dunfermline.
nice work. Whats that white drone called?
Thank you. The drone I used was a Mini 3 Pro.
What happens if a steam engine powered special train goes down the line there’s no way they can put the engine to go engine first it will have to go coaches first,a big mistake on all who passed this and government money.
Then they do what they do everywhere else, put an engine at the other end. Not rocket science.
A yes for the sake one charter train (of which there is a very easy fix by sticking a loco on the other end) we should never of built and and the people of Leven and Methill deserve to be left without a Railway, brilliant idea 💡
A waste of money it will never pay for itself
That's the spirit!🙄
Made it much easier to vist my family in leven/Methill.
Nightmare to get to to after landing in Edinburgh from Wales.
Trying getting to the airport in Wales. There isn’t any rail link and the m4 doesn’t have a decent link to it.
The rail ink isn’t their because people have argued for it for years. Its their because the govt want cars off the road. They want you to use public transport. The price for the fare to Edinburgh will be interesting, and is this line that is going to stop everywhere going to be served with a SLOW train.
@mymusic5772 cardiff airport was built for the city to stretch out of the coming decades...turns out it's a flood area and that never happened......more and more flights cut every year there
