I'm from STL and I have to say, if you want a nice restaurant to go to Sauce on the Side, Mission Taco, and The Hill all have great places to eat at. (in case you ever wanna visit)
I've flown between STL-LAX many times recently and always chuckle when they stick us (in the tiny A320) in the international terminal next to the giant 777s, 787s A380s, etc.
Ted Drewes is better fresh. It's in an area of town that is near authentic Italian restaurants, so get some great pasta, then frozen custard. If its a Cardinals game day it may be super busy, but line goes fast. Also, check out the free Budweiser brewery tour - with free beer at the end.
You crack me up. "I don't know anything about airplanes or else I could tell you more." You aren't expected to maintain the planes too! Have a great trip to Philly! I might plan my OWN trip to Reading Terminal Market after the itinerary I laid out for you.
Kelly, my first partner was from Saint Louis so visited there with him more than once on those TWA LAX/STL L1011s & 767s. Ted Drew’s place has lines down the block on weekends, and they have this thing called a Concrete that is So thick that you will think ur head is imploding from trying to suck irate up thru a straw. Truthfully, possibly prejudiced, but I prefer the Foster Freeze, what few are left. Just that old Cali kid still in me (especially the peanut butter shake). If u get to the Arch, the museum in the bottom is pretty good. People are surprised how important the city has been in the past. Still has a great symphony. And something called gooey butter cake, a breakfast thing, thst anyone there will know about. All markets and bakeries have it. Take care and a hug to Boris. Herman
@@theawkwardflightattendant indeed it is. Grew up in Echo Park, and there was one on Sunset a block west of Alvarado. Would even take the basset hound down the hill to it and he would have his in a cup. The only one I still know of is up in the Valley, but worth the trip for me
A big hello and hoping to see you at LAX soon. Definitely come find me as I would like to be in the background and do a shout out on one of your Vlogs Brian
Come to think about it, I have taken that LAX-STL flight a few times. It was actually one of my favorites, as it wasn't packed for some reason. Enjoyed the video!
Haven't seen one of the auto wheelchairs yet. That was pretty cool. Would be nice if you could just sit on it and tell it your gate number or baggage claim and have it go there!
I don't know if you are familiar with the RUclipsrs "Kara and Nate" from the channel of the same name, but I think Nate said his uncle* owns the BBQ restaurant Salt & Smoke in their St. Louis episode. *Edit to add I've got this all wrong. Kara said it is their friend that owns the restaurant--not uncle--and it is in their episode entitled something like "Our first 48 hours of full-time van life" in 2020. Just FYI, for anyone interested that's reading the comments. 😊
You got the room tour, a bathroom with a tiny shower, a bed, a chair that spins, and a window with a curtain, what more do you expect out of a hotel room?

You could take the Metro to the Arch from the airport. Of course, depending on the suburb, that might not have been possible.
Welcome to St Louis!
I have heard St. Louis has amazing yummy barbecue

definitely go see the Arch. There's also a great museum attached to it as well as a quick riverboat cruise you can take.

Salt & Smoke is one of the area's best BBQ places, along with Pappy's and Sugarfire. Welcome to my home town!
Try the St Louis style pizza next time!
Safe travels. Have an amazing week. Aloha. Cheers.
Go see the arch and if you can go up in it. Not like you are afraid of heights LOL Tell the family hello. Ted Drews is a place to check out .
That wheelchair could be a little scary for the wrong elderly person, lol. Love the glasses!
Thanks for what you do. I so enjoy sharing your adventures, albeit vicariously. ❤
Love the outtakes.

I love me some Fosters Freeze!! That's old school California right there!

The 319? The baby bus.
LOL. Murder Checks!
I eat salt and smoke all the time
is that the official term "murder check?" i used to travel a lot in my youth and i never checked for intruders.. i guess i was lucky.
Can you be trained as a purser? I've heard they make more money....just a thought.
How about a room tour,,,instead of a murderer check?

How does an introvert become a flight attendant?
You apply, you interview and then if you get the job, you go through training and then you start working, just like anyone else.
