I hate gradle and everything about it. I have two projects with the same gradle setup. One works. The other gives gradle errors! Surely all the necessary upgrade content could be pulled remotely at compile time?
This is the sole reason I refuse to do Android dev, and updating flutter broke my code. I’m moving to React and never looking back, gradle is the most annoying piece of shit I’ve ever had to deal with, it should just work without this much headache
I've been through the same issues and even tougher, especially after upgrades, it's simply hell, a nightmare, definitely flutter/gradle/Android suck, you need way more than 24 hours per day to develop on this platform, instead of focusing on the dev process itself, you're stuck on config, versions, settings, you name it !!!
Couldn’t have said it better! Who ever designed the complexity of gradle deserves a special place in hell! I feel like it’s just easier to just use react and copy code to a new project if it ever gives you trouble because the rest of my code is broken due to a flutter update
I regretted saying Flutter Upgrade on the cmd. I cant wait to implement this omg cant wait to get to my PC My issue was i was using image cropped package ehich uses different versions of kotlin kinda and I gave up and started building my own image cropper and now i found this video hopefully it works and fuck GPT they completely fucked my code Base Its been so nice coming back to RUclips to fix bugs lol
Problem is it could also break your code as the latest version of flutter ended up making a change that disallowed null values and my whole project is crapped out. I’m so sick of this shit I’m trying to move to react as we speak
@@AMPTechGrade Don't decide fast, you can always get rid of the packages that were affecting the issue for me it was Image cropper and geolocator I removed them and it's working Also I have fixed the issue thanks to you My plan with the geolocator was to get my current location and convert it to plus code for my users automatically instead I said well I guess users have to open up Google maps and told them instructions to do so if they don't have exact address It's rigged a little but it's working now after 4days of stress
Gradle is a dealbreaker, worst piece of shit I’ve ever had to work with. I’m not sure if react is better or not but the easiest route is start a brand new project and port your code over, here’s to hoping react isn’t dogshit
