    How do you utilize the companion guide for some of the health sci courses? Is there any tips on how to take notes from the modules that work well for you guys? Especially since they put a lot of content

      Great question!
      Ideally we prefer to you the modules link rather than the companion guides just as I've found that the modules tend to have animations and it's nicely organized which help you understand it better if you're a visual learner like myself.
      However, in terms of taking notes, theres many different ways, it just depends on preference. Some people prefer to write important information down into their notes, others find it to be too time consuming and choose to highlight on the companion guide while going through the module and write anything the guide missed or they find helps them (such as acronyms when studying for ANAT 100).
      Overall, especially in the health sci courses, you just need to ensure you're understanding the content and then preparing for the final exam won't be hard since you could just go through your notes/highlights and focus on parts you feel like you struggle on the most.
      Let me know if this makes sense, if not feel free to shoot us a personal message/email and we will try our best to help you!
      We’re going to be making a short tik tok on this soon so stay tuned and follow our instagram (@roadtomed_official)

    What are your tips for studying for the lecture quizzes? I have my first one tomorrow.
    If you can work around the poor wording are they difficult?

      tbh, the lecture quizzes can sometimes be worded kinda weird. best tip is to rely on the lecture slides when doing them. they’re open-book, so use your notes.
      also, find a good group to study with, having people to help explain stuff before and after doing the quizzes is super important. the quizzes are there to help you understand, not just memorize.
      biggest tip for biol 102 though is to redo the quizzes when you’re studying for the final. it really helps test your understanding and preps you for the kind of questions you'll see.
      be sure to check our google drive with all the first-year resources, including anki.
      goodluck and let us know if you have any other questions!

    Question, does BIOL have a midterm?

    • @RoadtoMED
      @RoadtoMED  2 месяца назад

      BIOL 102 does not include a midterm examination in its course structure. however, if you are enrolled in BIOL 103, there is a midterm assessment.
      the exam formats and requirements differ between the two courses, so it’s important to review the specific syllabus and assessment schedule for each.
      if you have any further questions feel free to reach out!
