Bull Lake Dam

Bull Lake Dam, constructed from 1936 to 1938, stands proudly within the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming.
Starting in 2018, a dam safety project aimed to replace the spillway and reduce failure risks. Investigations found seepage eroding the spillway's foundation and severe cracks in the piers.
The new spillway, featuring a state-of-the-practice labyrinth weir, is now complete, optimizing spill capacity and improving reservoir operations and flood releases.
Bull Lake Dam will continue to provide reliable water for irrigation and vital flood control, ensuring a bright future for the community.
