The most NL said was "only give bits if you can, dont feel pressured too" He's a really big streamer but doesn't shove it in your face like many do, subs have a small popup and there's hardly any shouting out of subs or bits.
speaking of broken void synergies, the order of operations seems to be *absorb item effect* -> *activate void effects* -> *remove item pedestal*. So if you have a teleport in your void, you can absorb a pedestal without destroying it (because you'll tp before the item is removed). On a floor with a few batteries, I absorbed the same pedestal 4 times, for 4 upgrades, then picked it up. It's actually broken.
The Korean Fan death thing was because Korea has a large suicide rate as a country. But committing suicide was seen as a shameful thing to do, so when someone had to tell the families or write the cause of death they would say the fan had killed them. This was done to spare the family of shame

Is afterbirth+ just an expansion to the afterbirth dlc and you don't need to purchase any additional dlc? Sorry, been on holiday a few weeks. All I've heard of it is a few videos from NL. I just got back.

Pretty sure they hotfixed Void consuming a passive upgrade when you have a teleport effect: The passive item wouldn't be consumed, and you'd be teleported elsewhere, still able to grab the passive you "sucked up". You'd still get the random passive bonus before you teleported. If you had battery charges you'd be unstoppable.
Protaku I agree but wait until mod support for afterbirth pops off... which is then again not credit to the devs but hey... at least they made it possible.

Protaku mod by less people, working on just the mod, for over 2 years. while AB+ took considerable less time, plus they have been working on other games etc. plus antibirth only works for rebirth so a better comparison in terms of content would be comparing just Antibirth vs what was added in AB and AB+
AM okay with this new information I did not previously know I respect them a lot more but I hope they keep adding new stuff cause how heavily hyped it was by them and the community I feel a little underwhelmed still but that's our fault in the community we do that with all games
Antibirth has been in development since Rebirth came out, and mod makers can dedicate their time to making a mod while a dedicated dev team has plenty other things to do. Afterbirth wasn't very long ago, mind you. Don't get me wrong, Antibirth is an exceptional mod and Afterbirth+ has been a little bit of a let down, but I still think Afterbirth+ is getting way too much unfair rep.
I made it through greedier with 3.65 damage... and leash and dry baby but still... also didn't notice a second phase he like turned gold then revived just to explode... I thought I was getting a second phase then just got any excitement taken

Am I the only one who just isn't excited by The Void's active item stacking? The random stat bonuses have helped me out way more, because the only good spacebar items are ruined by the six charge of Void. I can use Guppy's head once every six rooms, but not really because I'll only use it when I get items? YAY! I can see it being helpful with items that are one use only though. Still though, all the runs I've won with Apollyon have been the ones in which I sucked a passive and got 8.50 damage on the first floor.
Well it is kind of inadequate. Particularly because it's being compared to Antibirth which really innovates on the game. AB+ did very little and the biggest thing about it, the mod tools, are a major mess. Austin said it on his stream the day AB+ came out but it's gotta be a little disheartening seeing a fan made mod do so much with the game, be so creative with it that it surpasses the original Dev's creativity. A good example is the new secret boss fight, Delirium. It's just another version of boss rush, but with a single health bar. The new boss himself doesn't even have any new animation. The common term related to AB+ has been the word lazy. Now I don't think AB+ is as bad as some make it out to be, but I see what they're saying and I see why people find Antibirth is superior.
Briggsey96 No problem. Just an honest , personal look at it. I also think people are ridiculous about complaining about AB+'s price. 10 dollars (full price) is nothing. You get a lot less for a lot more money for most game DLC's. AND it's currently on sale at 7 dollars. Even though it's not much, you do get enough in the new dlc for what you pay for. Granted Antibirth is free, but still.

Things like Greedier Mode and the "new floor" are just... bad. The spriting on new enemies looks amateurish and doesn't fit the original game's style and the concepts are uncreative. (Exception: The Void/Apollyon is a cool addition. Very, very strong, but in a fun way.) It doesn't bother me that Afterbirth+ has little content, because its big selling point is mod tools and, more importantly, eventual mod INTEGRATION. It's a mechanism by which the best mods can be brought into the base game over time, and potentially even show up on the console versions. That's a great idea! But it will take time to actually happen (they're planning monthly updates) and you can't rate on hypotheticals. It does bother me that the content Afterbirth+ has is poor quality. Afterbirth had a fair bit of that and this one is far worse. I would actually think better of it if it had NO new native content than I do with what it has, which generally makes them game worse. The visuals in particular are amateurish to an unacceptable degree. Ironically, they LOOK like the kind of shoddy sprites a mod maker working alone would put into their mod to get the concepts across. Add to that, the Antibirth mod came out just before Afterbirth+'s release and was the kind of polished, visually and mechanically interesting expansion Wrath of the Lamb was for the original Isaac. The contrast is impossible to ignore, and that's contributing to Afterbirth+'s poor reviews.
I was reading a book recently (granted, it was over a century old) which noted that western individuals are generally skeptical. I don't think we have so many odd superstitions and rituals because of our skepticism, and with it refusal to believe anything which does not adhere to our already-existing sets of truths. Then again, skepticism can come "full circle," I think, resulting in skepticism about skepticism, forcing one to consider things that do not adhere to their truths. The only issue I see with believing in anything metaphysical or supernatural is how near-any explanation can be given, including other metaphysical/supernatural ones. For instance, ghosts could be explained by some form of "astral brainwaves" or some nonsense from a completely separate bit of metaphysicality. Once you choose to discontinue trusting your truths, there are no boundaries on what you can believe in.
It's always a bit uncomfortable when they start talking negatively about religious beliefs. I get their none of them are religious and that's fine but there's always an undercurrent of disrespect for those who do believe such, specifically Christianity. Luckily they don't go into that stuff very often and NL is the most respectful when they do. Good on you, Egg!
