- Here we show something you need to check for first if you have a crank no start on your 5.9L Cummins 24 valve with the VP44 pump.
My other VP44 video • 24 Valve Cummins VP44 ...

A problem I have had in the past with crank no start is a loose and/or dirty connecter on the aft end of the VP44. Ensure that the sliding lock snaps into place after shooting the contacts with electrical spray and blowing them out with an air hose. DO NOT USE DIELECTRIC GREASE. Keep them clean and dry.
Great video!! It's best to start with the most simple things like fuses.
My truck glow plug light comes on immediately regardless of the outside temp. Granted it’s a 2015 6.7 PowerStroke, but even if it’s 95• outside the light comes on and it doesn’t stay on long of course, but always comes on. If it’s REALLY cold I’ll let it have two cycles, but the modern glow plugs get so hot so fast you shouldn’t need more than one or two cycles unless it’s -30•f outside lol than I’d probably give it a few cycles.
PS as you know low batteries can cause all kinds of weird things to happen as well.
Thank you for sharing this! Been having similar issues with mine. I will check out that fuse, hopefully that's it!
Looks like someone blew a fuse and stuffed it with some Brillo pad
On the road fix . LoL 😂
mine is doing the same thing i have fuel up in the injectors and lift pump is working I'm going to try this .thanks
Did you get it started? If so what was the issue?
My 2002 CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL has a dead pedal 😢
Got a 99 thay cranks, won't start. Can hear the lift pump going so it ain't that. Have to try this i guess
what was it if you found out
Also showing no volts on the dash gauge.
Good eye. I didn't see that.
I did it but still didn’t turn on
Did you ever figure it out?
