It's actually insane how much better Canelo got at English over the years. Now he's fully comfortable speaking without a translator on extended interviews and podcasts.
Edit: we got a lotta petty smart asses commenting. So lemme say this, you’d be surprised by how many people can move to another country and still never learn or care to speak the national language. I see it all the time. With Americans that move to other countries, and immigrants that move here. And no, stop assuming most people around the world can converse in English aside from basic greetings and words. Y’all need to chill lol
Yes in 2 or 3 years he really started going on this english Journey and international canelo now
It's actually surprising how many people in mexico speak english. then there is those that come to the US, live here for years and never learn the language
Makes a huge difference in promotion when they can speak English
Hes got great english to be honest

Steiny: im shooting low 90s. Canelo: thats why golf is good cuz even the handicap can play too.
😂😂😂😂 bruh I notice it too 😅
Handicap is a golf term. He’s saying that even though he shoots bad his handicap allows him to still play golf and compete. It just means whoever he plays with better than him gives him strokes to make it even.
What he meant is in golf you can play with players similar to your level.
😂😂😂😂😂
@@4Miscable its a joke dude!!! handicap is a universal term for almost every sport, like racing getting a extra car length to start to added time. you want to be technical just about any advantage a player has over another player is a handicap. enjoy the jokes!!!!!

I love that Canelo took the time to learn English to better communicate with this fans here in the US that don't speak Spanish. That's a testament to how he is constantly working hard and improving not just in his sport but in all areas of life. Canelo is one of the best examples of a role model & the type of champion you would want kids to look up too in life! He so chill and confident since he knows the amount of hard work dedication and discipline it took to keep focused and never get distracted from his goals! That's something everyone can respect & I'm glad that we have someone like him be one of the GOATS of the sport! I wish we had more like him these days.
He didn’t do it for that. He started learning English better because the translators were basically censoring what he would say. So he decided to learn English so he can speak how he wants.
I mean he lives, trains, and fights in the US… he had to learn at some point
@@Gzminecraft03he lives in Jalisco😂
*Canelo beats Charlo button*
If he fights using distance and hits body then he’s gonna beat Canelo, unfortunately canelo doesn’t move his feet ever but he’s a counter puncher and planted type of fighter. Amazing podcast guys! Thank you for supporting Canelo and Mexico! Much respect! 🇲🇽
I remember when people would constantly criticize canelo for not speaking English and then when he would try, they criticized him for struggling and reverting back to Spanish. He constantly said he was trying to improve and will speak it when he was comfortable. I’m happy for him. He is comfortable doing long podcast, going on radio shows with no interpreter. I’m sure he feels super proud of himself for adding a second language to his life.
I love humble fighters. He achieved everything and seeing him so grateful about it is so inspiring and refreshing.
Kyle is a great interviewer. Despite Canelo’s English being great, Kyle knows how to re-position a question in an easier understood way to ensure that it is clear. A+ communication skills.
Steiny on the other hand so bad asking him about aliens 😭
Canelo: “I don’t care about this” 🤣🤣
@@sukkisukki7663 I felt bad for Steiny because he probably understood that in a way that Canelo wasn’t interested in the question or topic. But lost in translation was that canelo is more indifferent about the existence of aliens because he’s more worried about what’s actually going on (a big fight) lol Kyle did a great job at asking a follow up question to take away from any potential awkwardness

Canelo is one of the greatest fighters of his generation and the fact he’s done a full podcast in English when a couple years back he couldn’t speak much m English at all and used translators is pretty remarkable. It says a lot about him as a human and how he tries to be the best version of himself in and out the ring. Good job guys!

Bro, I never expected Canelo to do this interview in English. What a Legend 👏
I can personally attest to Canelo's good heart and good intentions. The man gives and gives to all the people of Mexico who are in need and never expects anything in return. I remember one time a little girl from Puebla reached out to him on social media asking for a boxing glove of his autographed so she could raffle it off so she can raise funds so she can pay for her treatments for her illness, and instead Canelo said screw that I'll pay for all your treatments and medication myself.
The man is a true inspiration and what everyone should strive to be in impacting and helping our communities
He seems like such a good person! That’s amazing ❤
@@shaneemoretgrowthacademy yeah he absolutely is! His humble beginnings shaped him and he never forgot where he came from that’s why he’s beloved by the Mexican people although the Mexican press tries to crap on him but he’s loved by the Mexican people.

You can see Canelo is just a true pure hearted dude , he’s all about loyalty and honesty , he deserves every bit of respect and more , and for him to pick up so much English in such a short period of time is honestly even more impressive than anything else
Huge shoutout to Canelo for taking this challenge on completely in a foreign language without an interpreter. He did a phenomenal job even though he probably felt like he wasn’t doing very well because it’s not his native language. I can speak quite a bit of Spanish and can carry a simple conversation on and even though I’m comfortable talking to certain people completely in Spanish. There is no way I could sit down for a podcast that you have no idea what they’re going to ask you. Just impressive how much better his English has gotten just from like two years ago. Being bilingual isn’t a big deal to some people and some make it look easy but it’s not easy at all! Love you Canelo, can’t wait for the next big one!!
Go Kyle! That's exactly the right mindset. Your headed in the right direction fast and it's motivational to watch.
