this was honestly less shitposty than i expected I was worried of what would be said about me if i admitted it was the Empress, and although it probably wouldn't be wrong it's a bit off from the main reason
duke fishron, but i reaaalllyyyy hate the ocean, so its more of that 'you enjoy dodging and being swift in terraria' or better 'you like side jobs more than the direct progression all the time' the second one does describe my approach to many things too, not just terraria progression, but thats just my thoughts

yes it is but don't starve together is kinda the new game and atleast considering the normal world its superior in every way like a sucessor, only missing shipwrecked and hamlet but the base world is much superior. besides the crossplay betwen the 2 games was added to don't starve together not the single player one, in the DSt we have one terraria boss as well.

@GrimGriefer5 shipwrecked and hamlet are they own world thetrs a system to connect all of then but they are not simulated at same time they are great to play as they own thing but the base world with is rog is superior and better than shipwrecked and hamlet, besides the rog version of the world have way more content in Dst and the increases health bosses just make it better even for solo play so it's more challenging the game is still 100% doable solo but much better you have proper farms etc. Ds is just outdated at this point unless you want play that specific worlds and even the the characters are unbalanced and outdated it's like if I was playing dota 2 without the character patches, no Bernie no new skills etc hitting enemy's in Dst register just fine, just disable the client prediction so you see the real truth instead of the lag compensated fake view.

@@GrimGriefer5 client prediction is the attempt klei made at lag compensation with basically try to hide the delay so if you click to move you character it moves the moment you click, but this is false it's a fake view, the truth is you only move when the server receive the information you moved, the thing with it on is that you are not seeing you real position with can cause issues with hit registration and other things if you disable the lag compensation you disable the client prediction ( the only thing the setting does) you will see the delay when you click but the advantage is that you now are seeing you true correct position on the server meaning no issues with hit registration as now you see exactly where you trully are. If klei coded a complete lag compensation system that verify hits in the past with interpolation we would not have hit register issues and could leave the setting on to have a smoother experience without noticing the delay, the fact that the game don't even compensate picking items is bad, you waste time that you no need to waste, if picking grass let's say for example took 6 seconds the game could let I last just 6 seconds in you screen and change the grass without waiting the server (prediction) allow you o move and only appear at you inventory after the server confirms, without this we waste time and lose time every time we pick a item. Net code on dst is really bad as I said it's missing slot of stuff other games does.
