Beautiful tribute for a beautiful man. He may have died 2 years ago but there are times when I still greatly miss him, and I never even knew him. Tess and especially Andrew and Monica forever hold a strong place in my heart. I can't wait to dance with him in heaven. We greatly love and miss you, John. RIP.
I hope I will see this guy in heaven one day. The Andrew character he played and his friends Tess and Monica reminds me that there is still hope in this life.
I've never cried when an actor died. Until it was John Dye that passed away. I didn't know him. I never met the man face to face. But we all had a deep, deep connection to he character he portrayed. It's the reason why I'm weeping now. Rest in everlasting peace, John Dye. The CBS television network hit a home run with the "Touched By an Angel" series. If they want to see their ratings go up, they need to bring back more programming like Touched by an Angel. The whole cast was fantastic.

I call him my "TV Dad" because he was like a dad to me though I never met him. But he was comforting, and I felt like he really cared. I also have a deep connection with Monica. On behalf of the Cleveland High School Blue Raider Marching Band, from Cleveland, TN, we would like to say, thank you for this beautiful tribute! John marched with us for a short time before he left Cleveland and went on to become an actor. He played the trombone and was well liked by all who knew him (although it was a couple of years before my time there). He also played one of the Von Trapp children in the school's production of "The Sound of Music". I'm sure all who knew him already knew he was destined for great things. He is missed.
I think the reason that it hurts me so much that he is gone is because he was my first big TV crush, but also kinda of like my TV brother/dad/uncle. After he first started on the show, I would get so excited to see John Dye as Andrew in the title credits. It was like the best thing every week when I sat in front of my TV for season two. And obviously, ever after. Now, so many years later, its like I lost someone I never really knew but wanted to. It's like something went wrong and I wish I could go back and fix it - the world just isn't right somehow. Sadly life goes on, but I take comfort knowing that whatever was wrong, as Della said, it is right with him now. RIP you beautiful, beautiful man.
