I met this legend AB at JFK Airport in New York when going to Ghana on Thursday June 1st, 2000. We took the same Ghana Airways flight to Ghana. It was an overnight flight so we arrived in Ghana the next day , Friday , June 2nd , 2000. Two weeks later, we boarded the same flight , Ghana Airways , in returning to New York. I was in awe and excited at the same time to meet such a legend. That memory will stick with me for a long time. What a legend !!!!

I feel like we didn’t get the full package of ABC’s talents, especially his comedic part. You could feel his comedic side in all his music. I wish they had organized a night of music and comedy by ABC every Xmas. It would’ve been a hit. I literally grew up on his songs thanks to my dad. May his soul RIP!
