Wall of text, sorry :/ this is pretty much just directed at the creator of this video- i found it quite thought provoking.
I think we- by which i mean the older generations of minecraft players, can get unnecessarily disappointed as we see youtubers we used to enjoy lose their appeal. We think they change and, they do- but perhaps that change isnt solely becuase of a want for money and algorithm appesion; I think a lot more of what we experience as "a change in the qualities of content" than we are often willing to acknowledge is simply in virtue of our own changing tastes as we get older. I'm sure that if i went back to the videos I enjoyed as a kid i'd find they don't appeal to me nearly as much as they did once.
In many ways we do need to appreciate that the change isnt just in them- its in us, and the remedy we should seek is not to sit and angrily hope for every content creator to spontaneously align themselves with our ideals, but to instead challenge ourselves to manifest that change. Its easy to view content creation as something that we are owed, becuase it has been presented to us like that from when we were young, but perhaps its time to give back some of the thousands of combined hours of content we collectively consume over the years. Not as a call to a career or to money, but instead as an outlet for thought and communication presented in accordance with the way that our minds have developed as we grow. Much in the vein of this video.
I dont make youtube videos, myself, but i often think I ought to. Not becuase it would be the most entertaining, or profitable thing to do, but simply becuase in having a place to express our thought without social constraint, we alleviate one of the great burdens of the social games we live in; cognitive introspection without the corresponding cognitive "release". I belive we all live with that tension to an extent.

      What you just said is:
I think older Minecraft players often feel disappointed with RUclipsrs losing their appeal, attributing it to creators changing for money or algorithm appeasement. However, much of this perceived change might stem from our own evolving tastes as we age. Instead of hoping content creators align with our ideals, we should acknowledge our growth and consider creating content ourselves. This isn't about entertainment or profit, but about having an outlet for our thoughts and communication, relieving the tension of cognitive introspection without release.
I do believe that, no need for a wall of text though.

@@BoxingSnailsounds like when you put paragraphs into chat gpt lol. I agree if i wrote it out again i could have made it a lot more concise but keep in mind it was my unstructured ramblings at like 1 am. Though i do think that summary loses some of the force of my points.
