This is amazing, a 2 and a half hour long video of just straight backrooms, this might be one of my favorite videos on the entire site. Its insane the amount of dedication and effort you put into this video, and the entire map as a hole! You are very good at this kind of thing, and I wish you luck for any future projects you have!
We all will miss you during your hiatus but I understand that you need a break from this as you have basically been working on this non-stop for 2+ years now! Thank you Cheesy Chess, for making some of the best videos on the platform. ;)

In my Backrooms map I put grenades in the MEG base on level 1. To make them you can use commands to get a Slime spawn egg that spawns a primed TNT or Creeper. It’s a cool and easy way to make a vanilla friendly weapon!

I've got to thank you! Without you I would have never even tried to make a backrooms map! I just started work on it and I am doing it on bedrock. The only level I am working on right now is level 0. Again, Thank you!

Well, it was worth waiting. Suggestion: extended the current levels by about 25-35% their current size so that there's a bit more space to work with (but at the same time less space due to the command skyscrapers), also, Level 12, Level 998, level 999 and old level 99 (the censored room, zenith, void island and distant light) if you can, these are the easiest backrooms levels to build due to their simple structure

Your map is so amazing, the metro is really cool but my favorite parts are the level 57 paintings and level 404 video. (I still don't know how you did it, but if you really made map art for *every single frame* and *every single painting* then that's true dedication.) Here are a few suggestions:
First, you should really remake level 2, or at least make some changes to it, because the entities just feel impossible to get past and the only way I can even get past it is to just keep dying over and over again until I eventually kill all of the entities. Whenever I go to this level I usually just end up going into spectator mode to skip it.
Second, you should really update it to 1.20+, I know you said you weren't before in another video, but you should reconsider because 1.20 has a lot more features than 1.17 that can make the map a lot better, like display entities. Also, 1.21 is gonna have a gravity feature which would make level 74 actually work like space. So yea, I feel like taking just a little bit of time to update all of the commands would be worth it to get all of the new stuff.
Now just some small things. You can make the achievements actually like real Minecraft advancements by using a data pack and the /advancement command. Of course, there's a website to generate them so it's really easy to do. Finally, I know this sounds really nitpicky, but can you please fix the your/you're mistakes? I don't wanna sound like grammar police, but it really kills the vibe when there's something that's supposed to be creepy but it has such a noticeable error.
That's all I wanted to say, sorry for writing an essay, but this map is so awesome, I just wanted to give some ideas. Can't wait to see the future updates!
1. Yeah I do planned to upgrade the older levels like level 2 and level 0.
2. I would planned to, but Im just sticking it to 1.17.1, and the reason behind this is: ever since Minecraft announce 1.18, there is another layer of generation at the bottom, which kinda lags the map.
3. The map was intended to don't rely on data packs or texture packs, so its just a one play off.
4. Yeah you do have a point, the "your" pronounciation would ruin the horror vibe. Yeah Ill fix that one.

Hey, y'know actually. If you're looking for new projects to work while fixing bugs and adding new stuff to you're backrooms project, I actually have an idea that I have been wanting to recreate for awhile now. Its called *The Darkness Consumes All* Basically the concept is that in real life, everyone has a creature that displays what their fear is and is behind them at all times. But if they try to turn around to look at it, the creature will just follow their back, so that they will never see the creature, but its always there. If you are lucky enough and your creature isn't paying attention and you turn around fast enough to even catch a glimpse of it, you will be instantly manifesting into a different reality. This reality is called the *unilluminated absence* where you are surrounded by complete darkness, its pitch black. The floor is just straight mud, very deep mud like atleast 10 feet before reaching the bottom which is a hard patted clay surface which seems to be unbreakable. If you stand still you will slowly sink into the mud until it becomes impossible to get out which means you can suffocate in the mud if you don't start moving immediatly after you are manifested into this world. There can be random broken down structures like houses, canoes, campsites etc. which can contain light sources like lanterns or torches, and other supplies but the food is all rotten. The light is very much needed as there is beings within the unilluminated absence, one of which I like to call *Sludge Mimics* They crawl from the ground when someone is close and transform into the last person they saw and mimic the persons voice exactly to lure the victim in. When they attack they scream at a very ear bleeding high pitch almost like the sound of a vehicle's revving engine. Then they will lunge quickly at the victim and show no mercy as they dig into your chest and rut your organs out as they eat you alive. & this is where light sources come in! These sludge mimics hate light and will not go near light ever because light will liquefy their skin and make them turn into a pile of bones slowly sinking into the mud. There is no known exit out of this place back to our reality but it is said that someone found a light house in the distance but ran away after they saw a 9 ft tall creature guarding the light house. Nothing is also known about the 9 ft tall creature either. I hope this is a great concept because it is to me. There is a lot more details that could be explained but this paragraph monstrosity is long enough. Love the content and keep it up, PEACE

Is there a void on your map? I ask since I haven't seen it, does your map have its own cosmology?
Well, maybe, when a cosmology for my map, then the blue channel is part of the void for deleted or unused levels. The hub and the elevator mineshaft might be a technical term for a void since these levels transports to all kinds of levels. I made a theory in this timestamp: 1:14:50 which pretty much exposes the outside of these levels :-)

How do you make the NPC dialogue system I want to add something similar to my map but it looks so difficult
Scoreboards simply, with a scoreboard checking if the player crouch and jump. The dialogue system is really complicated that I cant explained it, maybe Ill share later in my drive if I have time

since the start room says its recommended to use cheesy's version of Vanilla Tweaks, i'm gonna guess thats the texture pack (though i'm not sure since it's been some time since i've played the map)

1 question how do you do the gravity?
Using scoreboards to check if the player sneaks. If the player sneaks, then the levitation effect is off an vice versa

Huh so the wires are not the bug so why I can’t get the axe:?
idk if you found out what was the problem but you need to repair(or in minecraft logic, scraping) the generator in level 3 using an axe(you might need more than 1 axe) and then turn it on using the lever next to it before connecting the wool blocks(or in this case wires)
you can also quickly get to the generator using an elevator in level 4 that leads to level 3

I played the map and its really good but i have some bugs to Report ( i dont See the Smiler head for some reason and they shady Gray Angle in Level 2two didnt Work for me)

are you playing in 1.17.1? some people had slight problems playing in versions newer than 1.17.1, such as partygoer heads turning into creeper heads and colored leather armor turning into normal ones
