LOVE this! In 2018 we took a long trip on several Amtrak trains across the US. I took notes along the way, and it was so helpful when I later made two scrapbooks! (Our trip was extended by more than two weeks because my hubby broke his ankle on the train our way home requiring an emergency stop, surgery, etc.) This is a fabulous way to remember your trip! I'd love to see what you're taking along, and the process of creating your final journal. Safe travels!
I need a stopgap journal and am so happy you made this tutorial. I immediately thought Turkey when I saw the charm, but that's because of my interest in the Silk Route. I know that other counted cultures also have that symbol.

Hi, thank you so much. Yes I do love my cutter, it is a Fiskars Rotary trimmer, I prefer the rotary as I feel the blade works better and stays sharper for longer. I hope that helps ❤

Last year when I went to France I had a small notebook and a pen that I had with me each day to jot down memories. i realized when i got home and was working on a travel album that it would have been easier to incorporate the pages if I wrote on only one side, and if i started a new page for each new day. going thru my phone which had the date and location of where i took pictures also really helped.
@ShanoukiArt your Stopgap journal is Super cute and a wonderful idea to supplement the actual travel journal. I think I would like to incorporate a spine, as I tend to save WAY too many brochures, napkins, drink coasters, etc from our travels. Have a wonderful creative day!!!!! ; )
Hi, as far as I know, you will need a laser printer. The inkjet printer ink runs/bleeds when you wet it. Laser printing done with a toner instead of ink, does not bleed. I have a laser printer and staining the printed papers has never caused an issue ❤
So waiting for you to do a video for when you incorporate this journal into a larger one. I made one and am more then halfway through my germany trip. I keep thinking... I have no idea how I am going to make this work with my larger journal??? Writing things down over many pages? Do you take the signatures out? How do you keep the pages in order when it's written in a signature over multiple pages??? Help me lol!😂
I haven’t even started mine, so little time :-( I am not planning on taking the signatures out, I will just write through it in chronological order. I need to still print photos 😵💫 I am so behind 😭
great tutorial Shana 👍🏽 FYI I discovered to print your digitals borderless, set your paper selection to “photo paper”. I choose matte rather than gloss. I have a Canon Printer. You might want to check if you could do the same on your printer settings.
My first thought for your travels would be Turkey, but it could be many different Mediterranean countries like Greece, or Cyprus or ? Wherever it is you go I hope the evil eye will protect you and that you will fill your journal with lots and lots of fun memories.>
