Get mugged, keep your stuff. The real guide on how to use a money belt. I wrote an article on how to use a money belt here worldcitizenev... Check me out on Instagram www.instagram....
Great Video! Keep enough cash in your belt to get you to your consulate and a folded copy of your passport, plus money for lodgings and food. My buddy and I got mugged in Patong Thailand, fortunately , I left everything back in the hotel safe as did my buddy. We lost $23 between the 2 of us. We never resisted and came away with our lives. They always come prepared!
that’s exactly what i was thinking- it’d be central america/middle east right? welp im going to latam today so better hope its better 5 years later lmao
I really liked this video. Could you make another one where you would recommend money belt choices by availability in each country or something in that sense?
You make it look like a waiste belt is this virtually impossible to find invisible thing. If you get shaken down enough they will find it. Carrying everything inside of it is just not smart, sorry. You'd be better off just staying at a nicer accomodation you can trust, or hiding your stuff in your room.
Never carry a debit card when travelling, always use a credit card.
How will you get money out of the atm then? Most places in Latin America still only accept cash
Good video but would be much more valuable if you showed the actual location of the belt at the end

I find that my gun is a pretty good money belt but I'm not allowed to travel overseas with it so this looks like a good substitute.
