    For working ferrets I truly love the setup most people keep they're ferrets in a tiny hutch or cage it's so refreshing to see such a great set up

      @@ruralpestcontrol agreed! I get so annoyed when I see people putting them in tiny 2x1 guinea pig hutches... when it's too small for a guinea pig in the first place.

    No questions .. BUT Bloody hell !! If I come back as a ferret , I wanna live in that mansion ... AWESOME is the only way too describe it ... I could sit in there with an 8 pack of lager and watch them all day ... can't wait for the kit vid ..

    • @ruralpestcontrol
      @ruralpestcontrol  4 года назад +2

      Thanks, it kinda reminds me of when I use to keep marine fish. I could sit all day watching them. It'll be better when the other ferrets are back in here and the whole gang are playing 👍🤗

      Yeah they love climbing up things, I use to have a climbing frame for them with a pipe and cat scratching post rope all over it. They were forever climbing to the top and looking out like mear cats 😂

      I'm glad it helps, I keep thinking of ideas to add and ways to incorporate them into the penthouse. It will be more fun in there when my other ferrets can rejoin them. Good luck with your new ferret house. 👍

    Love your videos pleased you have more ferret ones up got a lot of ideas from you for our outdoor ferret palace. Just a heads up for American watchers this is standard in the UK for keeping ferrets. They develop a beautiful thick winter coat as well.

    One question. I have a ferret female, she has now ten small ferrets. They have two weeks. But the box in wich they live now is small, and i have change to other place more big in no more of two weeks. They accept naturally this change? They have then four weeks aprox.

    • @ruralpestcontrol
      @ruralpestcontrol  4 года назад +1

      Yes you will be able to move them to a larger hutch it won't bother them and the mother will take care of them until they are weaned off her. They should stay with her until they are at least 8 weeks old

    Hey buddy. How do they cope with the clear roof on hot days. I have the same roof but need do put them in water every few hours.

    • @ruralpestcontrol
      @ruralpestcontrol  4 года назад +1

      I've not had a problem, there is three large wire windows which allow plenty of air flow. If it really warm I give them plastic bottles full of ice.

  • @SUM1SLY83
    @SUM1SLY83 3 года назад

    Is that warm enough for the winter for them ? And doesn’t rain get in though the sides ?

    • @ruralpestcontrol
      @ruralpestcontrol  3 года назад

      more than warm enough.
      The north facing side has plastic sheets on the outside of the wire to stop the cold wind and rain blowing through. Rain can't get in the other two sides as its too sheltered.

      I used staples, (the nail type) on the wall. anywhere else I drill 2 holes through the wood the pipe is gonna be attached to.
