Dude, I'm telling you: PLAY. THE. FIRST. GAME. It's perfect for you if you say you like medieval games that are realistic, without magic and dragons. The story is created through the problems of real life and real people. The feeling when you play it is so special and priceless, especially if you come from Europe and realize how realistic the area, architecture, and nature feel.
Well, what I intended to say was that I DO like fantasy, magic, and dragons, but that doesn't have to take away from this game. Just from my video here I can tell it's got quite a following of people that vouch for it's quality.
@@bow2thedao history is so much more interesting.
@@marv.mp4714 to each their own 🙂
I've seen like 20 different people play the intro to the first game and each went differently. The npc don't just disappear when you don't see them. You tell a wife that her husband is starting a fight in a pub and she goes and yells at him even though it's not part of the plot. If you steal somebody's clothes they go about their day in their underwear 😅
The food in your inventory goes bad slower if you cook it, if you don't wash you smell bad and people treat you accordingly... I love the old game 😁
I'm happy to hear how expansive it is even with such a small team! And surprised to see how many people are strongly supporting it, seeing as how I hadn't even heard of it.
Lied to an NPC to make him go away. Got what I came to get. Went home. Found him arguing with another NPC about my lie. I love that NPCs actually do what they say they’ll do. 😅
(20:26) If you're looking for a combat system like Skyrim or even Elden Ring, you're going to be disappointed. This combat system is based on HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) and it's pretty realistic. You can't take on multiple opponents without some kind of strategy and, early on, it's even difficult to go one on one. If you're not careful, they will overwhelm you. Later in the game you can become pretty OP but even then, if you're not careful, they can still take you down.
Knowing that it has a basis in reality helps me understand so much better. I can appreciate that!
I think the reason why many of us love this game is that it tries to be realistic as possible within the constraints of game design. I came for its history. I stayed for the gameplay. And I'll return (to KCD2) for the story. :)
"Combat... looks a little bit janky there..."
Oh, I'm gonna love watching you play KCD1.
Look like a bit of a dunce there don't I? lol, I've gotten a few episodes into KCD1 already and it's been really fun!
One of the best game made. Put in the time and the game rewards you in ways few games even comes close to. Cant wait for KCD2 gonna be epic.
That is a bold statement sir. but it seems there are plenty of people here that would agree with you!
If you like composed game music, developers of KCD made live concert for employees and friends after first game release. You can find it on YT. It is epic!
And there in Czech Republic is a symphonic orchestra which do live concerts of Czech games - Mafia, Mafia 2, Last Train Home, Some Day You'll Return, Arma, Operation Flashpoint. I was there and it was totally great!
Dude I'm so jealous! That sounds awesome! I've always desperately wanted to attend an orchestral performance that covers final fantasy music especially!
If you have watched the TV series Vikings.. this game has Dialogue like that. so good.
also yes this is fully open world with Linear Story elements.. but you can impact things and fail timed quests and such.
I don't really watch tv (not very much at least) so I haven't seen Vikings, but thank you for clarifying the open world for me!
Aaay, Bow be reacting to the trailer. Noice. And yes, it is open world
Yup Yup, I figure we'll open it up to the people and see who's interested! Make sure to find my poll and cast your vote!
@@bow2thedao Will do!
Yo Chris, this game was your idea lol, do you think it would be better as episodes like I'm doing Fallout, or livestreams?
@@bow2thedao Hmm, i say episodes. Pace yourself. Though i wouldnt be opposed to longer VODs. Be aware the gameplay is a bit rough to start
111% passion from Warhorse on this series.. THE GOAT
Has Warhorse made anything else?
@@bow2thedao No it is their first game as a studio. but the creative director wrote a story for Mafia 1 and 2 before trying his vision with the new studio.
You have plenty of time to play the first game. Although they did say you dont HAVE to play the first, I would recommend it. It is also very cheap right now on steam. Experiencing the backstory would make KCD 2 more enjoyable I believe.
I have already purchased the first game! just wanted to make sure there is interest before I upload/stream it!
@@bow2thedao with the excitement about KCD 2 now, and with many neve rplaying the first one, I think there will be some interest in seeing you stream it. I am currently playing KCD 1, and love it. Sure, it has some flaws as most games do, but the immersion is like no other and the historical accuracy of the game makes it more appealing somehow. This really happened, not fantasy.
I mean they are wearing armor and in this game armor actually matters and it actually works like real armor unlike fantasy games.
Interesting. Like I said, I had no idea what I was about to look at. Is this fantasy? Or to be based in realism?
@@bow2thedao This is realistic medieval world with real world events and history the main character and what you do in the game is fantasy but the world itself is real.
@Jin-_-._.104 I didn't know! That's awesome, they must've put a lot of effort into the making of both games, I'm excited to learn more.
@@bow2thedaoIts in Bohemia (Czech Republic) year 1403.Its close to Hussite war known in Europe.
PLAY THE OLD ONE FIRST. This is probably the most immersive game you'll ever play.
heck yeah! Imma get started soon!
There not brothers or twins some people think they are Sir Capon voice actor Luke Dale was the face of Henry in the first game the second game I think is Tom McKay Henry voice actor but they do look a like.
I'm kinda surprised that they aren't! They look VERY similar to me. Thanks for letting me know!
@@bow2thedao they kind of like the reaction about them mainly when people call them brother's.
Without a doubt this will be Game of The Year.
I'm not joking either.
these Dev's created the most passionate game i have ever played.. the first one.. and they didnt have enough resources.. this time they did. and my god i havnt been this excited for any game.
Even if they said Bloodborne 2 for PC id rather play this.
With all the positive comments here, I've decided to play it! Can't wait!
You have summoned the KCD Community. 💪🏼 Not a perfect game and can definitely be frustrating because of how incompetent Henry (and the player) is, but so beautiful and so satisfying once it clicks. Hope you play KCD1 before taking on KCD2.
All games have their issues obviously, so I'm excited to see this piece of art everyone here claims it is!
KCD 1 is definitely worth the time, is wonderful. Number 2 is gonna be awesome.
Perhaps you would enjoy the video that will release on my channel later today ;)
@@bow2thedao will certainly put the notification on. Have a great day.
@@bow2thedao I did indeed enjoy your vid today on kcd 1 remember, train train train at the fighting when you have the chance. And punch cows and shoot sheep where you aren't seen so you can quickly build up fighting, strength and archery.
you should play the first it holds up well, and is challenging armor matters, and skill, archery does not hold your hand, it is challenging and fun, hell you cant even read at the start you are a peasant you are not special subbed
it is a historical rpg, real events and real people of the period
Wow ok! I'm becoming more interested as we go.
@@bow2thedao the combat IS clunky not going to lie, it uses a 5 way strike mechanic and and defense prompt, i encourage you to not pick sword fights early game, against trained troops you are a 18 year old boy who has never held a sword and you will feel like it, when you get to rattay there is a time in the quest that sir bernard is available to fight at the arena, practice alot with him and build your skill and competence with him using the wooden weapons, thats all the advice ill give, its challenging but very rewarding when you find competence, i look forward to watching your journey
There are type weapons like maces, axes, short swords, sabers, hunt swords, longswords and of course polearms but those cant be put in inventory but they are strong since in wars it was primary weapon.
Pet dog and cats and your horse there was 11 people in the beginning but 100 something people too finish the first game but now there's 250
It's really impressive honestly, Idk how I had never heard of these games, the first one has been out for 6 years!
@@bow2thedao Kickstarter was the first I don't think the trailer was shown ever much I didn't see until a RUclipsr theradbrad played it even though he didn't finish it.
@@bow2thedao It doesn't help that none of the bigger RUclipsrs play the game stops around 1-2 million theradbrad is the highest that I know about being at 10 million but when he played the first game he only had a 1-2 million.
Kingdom come deliverance uses a stat progression system kinda similar to Elder Scrolls where *exp gain is related to doing things*
Want more strength? Wield heavy weapons
Want to gain more meat from wild animals? Hunt more
Want to build alcohol tolerance? Drink more
And every skill has its own perks to further improve your character like the perk system in Skyrim
Rock on, I remember the first time seeing the sphere grid in final fantasy X and really growing to love it. I appreciate an in depth skill development and this seems 1. realistic and 2. expansive
You probably shoul play KCD1, if you like immersion...
Definitely a big fan of immersion. thank you.
i think if you play this first game.. and rewatch this. you will only have good things to say. there is no downhill option here, unless the writing is bad.. which it wont be lol
Yes, this is the concept I'm hoping to go for; preview a game, play it, then return and review the game afterwards.
Have not played Kingdom Come Deliverance? You do not know what you have missed. A map 4km x 4km, fully explorable, topographically correct of the terrain around the Sazava River (Sasau) and the town of Rattaje (Rattay), albeit somewhat downsized to fit the game. The architecture of the game is consistant with the reality, you can see some of the landmarks in Google Maps. Extremely detailed forests (they degraded them a bit since the beta version of the game because of hardware requirements), beautiful wildlife, vegetation detail... Hard skill progression - I have over 1800 hours of gameplay and still feel myself lucky if I manage to pull out a weapon combo in a fight (well, I am an RPG player, not a FPS one). And still miss an occasional shot with the bow. I have roamed the map far and wide and still stumble upon something unexpected - a skeleton in a dilapidated well or a purse, sticking out of a mound, maybe uncovered by rain water... Heck, I almost fell on the floor when the Rattay Apothecary began to chant a Witcher II "spell". And there are lots of such subtle nods to other games, books, movies. Dialogue can be hilarious. Your choices matter. Your clothing matters. Your behaviour matters. And then there is the story. Not very original but with its twists, a bit rushed at the end, but let's not forget that the first game came from a small eastern European studio, financed by a Kickstarter campaign. This second game is meant to finish the project. So give it a try. As for me - I am getting my bow and getting lost in the woods above Ledetchko to hunt some hares. Maybe a deer or two...
edit: Play it at least twice. Playing hardcore is on a scale of its own, but you will have very hard time if you have not played at least twentyish hours on normal difficulty and progressed the main story to spending some quality time with Captain Bernard.
And this first game was made with only a team of like 7 or something right? That's really impressive and I'm interested in the immersion of it all even though I'm not really a history buff, and have never been to Europe. All in all, seems like a good game to get lost in!
11 at the beginning, about 100 by the end of the first game. And, more than double that now which is why I'm hoping the polish on this game will be closer to Red Dead 2.
I believe you should try the first game...
I have begun playing KCD1!
watching! so far you are doing great. hope you will like the game
@artusrawa307 I'm already into it! It honestly has like a dark souls vibe with how growth works, but obviously in a realistic setting. It's a good combo and I'm enjoying it so far!
Kingdom come community💪♥️👍
You guys really showed up!
Kingdom come two deliverance?
I don't believe that's how they said it in the trailer... didn't they say "Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2" or am I wrong?
are you really gamer ????? i dont think so....
Out here trying new games I've never played before! It's been fun so far ☺️
