Fortnite was a staple of my teen years, I would always come home in early 2018 and hop on to season 4 with my friends. We made so many memories with chapter 1 but then Chapter 2 rolled around and I was the only one who stuck with the game, and to this day I still have. There's been many times where I've really felt like throwing in the towel with this game, but I never did. Chapter 5 Is honestly the most fun I've had since chapter 2 rolled out. I'm really excited to see the new direction Fortnite is taking!

50VS50 was the first LTM I ever played (Season 4 starter here) and I remember landing on the hill below Pleasant Park, opening the chest in the birch tree circle, getting a blue hunting rifle and headshotting someone after missing the first three shots because I never played a shooter before. LTM's were such a big part of the game man I miss them.
I started playing Fortnite on my brothers PlayStation 4 in season 7 of chapter 1. Let’s be honest it was definitely one of the cosiest seasons ever. The map the snow the Christmas theming was magical. The battle pass was cool to (get it?) I got my own console in chapter 2 season 2 and till this day those 2 seasons are my favorite

for me it felt og even if they kept the new updates like the mechanics, I also feel nostalgic about chapter 4 and the first half of chapter 2 . Thats because I played with people that with who I got along with , talked and had fun ; we never cared about our skills (im a build mode decent/good player) they are a little bit less skilled at building but it was ok. What made those times good where the people I met (not the same obviously), I guess thats my experience with the game so it could explain why it was fun for me to play it. I guess its also the general look and aesthetic that I miss, the OG season even with the new graphics was still making me associate the old times like an old photo that isnt accurate because it has worn off or because the tecnology at the time could take reliable pictures as todays phones do. In my opinion the game experience isnt directly connected with the game details, weapon etc, cause as long as the core of the game stays the same with changes around it , its still the same game that will feel like the old days only if you get to experience it through what really made it special, for me ita was socializing and playing with others with who I became friends with, but it could be different for you.

I remember always playing season 7 that was so fun I managed to reach lvl 81 and get all the rewards in the battle pass, plus when creative mode first released i had so much fun there too I just wanna relive it
i'm sorry but season OG sort of proves you wrong at 2:02. Epic thought there would be some hype and it'd die down in a week or two. but no fortnite OG which was the simplest fortnite has been for years had the highest player count ever for the entire season. 11ml in the first week and it stayed at around 4-7 for the rest of the season. then it fell back to about 2-3 with the familyguy stuff and has been losing more and more players since (down to abt 1ml now) while yes the OG season hit 11ml because of nostalgia, it stayed popular thanks to the simplicity of it, there wasn't any BS lightning bolt that obliterated you or ai that take forever to kill but drops op loot which removes so much skill from the game.
Epic should add an LTM during the next OG season which turns either zero build or builds into a classic building mode; no turbo building and no instant edits, this would make it feel more like early chapter 1 since thats how builds were, and it temporarily reduces the skill of people more familiar with the game temporarily evening the playing field. I personally really enjoy build mode and my favorite season so far has been FN OG even though i never played during chapter 1, and i feel like i would have fun during an experiment like this if they chose to do it.

Just facts bro, I've been playing fortnite since chapter 1 and one thing I can guarantee is there won't always be hits some seasons will suck and the thing is pessimistic players who moan about how OG was perfect will always magnify these bad seasons or moments.. When in actuality they've been some pretty memorable seasons after OG and I've had so much fun with some of the updates.. Even if a season is not that much fun like the Zeus one right now, I know maybe the next will be a masterpiece and that's why I love fortnite..

11:18 Epic made it smaller due to not having enough time to expand upon it most likely. Which is also the reason why there was no season 8 jungle biome or volcano either. Maybe when they do season OG again they’ll add them back as they did say they want to make it different than the last time.
Ngl people didn't just get better at building, turbo build was slower when it first came out and somewhere later like season 7 epic buff the speed and people got way faster and better. epic realized that and tried to nerf it back to the original speed but the community got angry so they made it fast again. Now people being to fast at building is one of the biggest issues and ironically the people who complained about epic nerfing it either play zero builds or quit like myth.
I started season 7 played before but in season 6 and 5 and saw it in 4 four. I didn’t even play season 1/2, I was 7. But Christmas morning 2018 I got Fortnite on my Nintendo switch and I cry for Nostalgia of season 7 the most. I also loved the rest of chapter 1. Damn, I never got to play OG Fortnite because my parents had no wifi in the house and I was 10-11 instead of the 12+ rating and for some reason they took game ratings seriously. All of those factors meant I couldn’t experience something so many people my age related to.

The OG update was still amazing because the guns and map was just better. The simplicity Fortnite had back then made the game fun imo nowadays they do way too much. Personally it still felt OG for me having its own 2024 twist.

Tbh im actually having a fun time with this season. Yeah season one was fun but for me it kinda got boring like half way. But i still enjoined it tho. Yeah i get it when og fortnite came back it didn't feel the same but for me its just the fact we got all the old guns back and played on the old map one last time. Anytime I’ve played fortnite I have always preferred older seasons than the last. The only time it was a good increase besides Chapter 1 seasons 1-8 was from chapter 2 seasons 2-4. Every season felt like it was just getting better. Ch2 Season 5 rolled around and it was bad, and so were the seasons that followed. Chapter 3 season 1 and 2 was the last time they truly cared for a good season. Now the gamemode that put EPICGAMES ON THE MAP is just abandoned creatively and just used as a cashgrab. To make matters worse, Epic have been treating Fortnite like an afterthought to focus on chasing a wild dream with creative that will never be a reality, since fortnite will only be seen as the battle royale game. Has anyone actually stuck around for the lego, guitar hero, or rocket racing game mode? No. IF EPIC actually TRIED, they could give a real chapter 1 continuation, and satisfy everyone. But they wont, since priority of cost efficiency and money triumph over actual game fun.
I just want to play fortnite, when the game looks like fortnite, on the fortnite map where all I need to do I loot up and shoot others. I don’t want to have to go on some crazy side quest fighting npc’s and fighting ai bots. I just want to play fortnite Battle Royale, not some random bullshit.

I didn't play OG season cuz of the lack of traversal mechanics and cover meant you would need to play build and be good at building to survive because stepping a foot away from a drop would cause immediate death without portable cover I hated it

It’s time for a new reign of massive multiplayer games to take over. The state of multiplayer games is extremely dry right now. And I’ve felt this way after Apex Legends. Apex imo was the last major multiplayer game to have a lasting popularity without immediately crashing and burning. 2019-Present has sucked for multiplayer gaming. COVID and industry greed is to blame.
I still think it’s possible to do better at recreating the feel of old Fortnite. When players discover new ways to use building, they are essentially adding content to the game. If building was changed so we were only able to play how we did in og days, it would feel less stressful. Building hasn’t had any permanent changes since c1 season 9 with the editing buff.

I got into the game in chapter 4, no hate or anything but after playing chapter OG If that was the peak of fortnite according to people who started before chapter 2 I'm glad I didn't start before That month for me felt like a slug, and to think back neither sprint nor mantling were a thing 💀

I liked the OG art style/graphics/look and gameplay. I started playing in Chapter 1 Season 1 or 2. For some reason, sometime after playing chapter 2 for a short period of time, I couldn't get into it, so I stopped playing. The map was constantly changing, so having a new map didn't bother me. From what I've seen of the current gameplay, I'm not fond of the sprinting, sliding and climbing. I haven't played with those abilities yet, so I can't say for certain I don't like them. Maybe I should update and just play zero build, or play the 50v50 if it comes back and try it out again.
Quick fix, the default didn't kill the 47 people. A reaper skin tried to kill them all, but the default broke the last ramp, so the reaper didn't get all the kills

He’s actively completely wrong there’s so many things wrong with this tweet first the pump when this was tweeted was perfection it did 200 damage good pullout time, Secondly chapter 2 mythics were so good, Old map is amazing but doesn’t mean it needs to be brought back for the game to be good again. The things that will make the game good again casuals stop complaining about people playing the game that just leads to unbalanced weapons, the pump and scar needs to come back they’re perfectly balanced weapons specifically chapter 2 season 3 to season 8 version of these weapons, next better maps these maps just suck this new season is great but the mythic poi’s are horrible they’re right next to each other so your always gonna get third partied, stop with the collars remember back in chapter 2 season 4 when the collab felt special now if we had that it would be like a wow that’s cool ig moment. Yeah i get it when og fortnite came back it didn't feel the same but for me its just the fact we got all the old guns back and played on the old map one last time. It just felt fun asf again how it did a long time ago. (For me atleast) But i lost my friends that i played with in chapter one we just stoped talking to eachother. But just to play on the old map with my new friends i made 3 years ago was just a blast. And i remember when i loaded into my first game of og fortnite all the memories came back and i just sat there with my thoughts and kinda cried a lil. But its just the fact i get to play the game how i kinda was back then and now just felt amazing. (Except the tryhards) but just playing the game felt nice to actually play agian. And then watching the big bang event with them felt so fuckin good man. But now im actually enjoying the game and im glad the storyline is back and the LTMS are also coming back (well only the floor is lava) just makes me want to play this game more. I love how the game is doing now ik this game had its ups and downs but ik glad its doing better now.

Anytime I’ve played fortnite I have always preferred older seasons than the last. The only time it was a good increase besides Chapter 1 seasons 1-8 was from chapter 2 seasons 2-4. Every season felt like it was just getting better. Ch2 Season 5 rolled around and it was bad, and so were the seasons that followed. Chapter 3 season 1 and 2 was the last time they truly cared for a good season. Now the gamemode that put EPICGAMES ON THE MAP is just abandoned creatively and just used as a cashgrab. To make matters worse, Epic have been treating Fortnite like an afterthought to focus on chasing a wild dream with creative that will never be a reality, since fortnite will only be seen as the battle royale game. Has anyone actually stuck around for the lego, guitar hero, or rocket racing game mode? No. IF EPIC actually TRIED, they could give a real chapter 1 continuation, and satisfy everyone. But they wont, since priority of cost efficiency and money triumph over actual game fun.
I just want to play fortnite, when the game looks like fortnite, on the fortnite map where all I need to do I loot up and shoot others. I don’t want to have to go on some crazy side quest fighting npc’s and fighting ai bots. I just want to play fortnite Battle Royale, not some random bullshit.

I didn't play OG season cuz of the lack of traversal mechanics and cover meant you would need to play build and be good at building to survive because stepping a foot away from a drop would cause immediate death without portable cover I hated it

It’s time for a new reign of massive multiplayer games to take over. The state of multiplayer games is extremely dry right now. And I’ve felt this way after Apex Legends. Apex imo was the last major multiplayer game to have a lasting popularity without immediately crashing and burning.

I still think it’s possible to do better at recreating the feel of old Fortnite. When players discover new ways to use building, they are essentially adding content to the game. If building was changed so we were only able to play how we did in og days, it would feel less stressful. Building hasn’t had any permanent changes since c1 season 9 with the editing buff.

I liked the OG art style/graphics/look and gameplay. I started playing in Chapter 1 Season 1 or 2.
For some reason, sometime after playing chapter 2 for a short period of time, I couldn't get into it, so I stopped playing.
The map was constantly changing, so having a new map didn't bother me. From what I've seen of the current gameplay, I'm not fond of the sprinting, sliding and climbing. I haven't played with those abilities yet, so I can't say for certain I don't like them. Maybe I should update and just play zero build, or play the 50v50 if it comes back and try it out again.

Quick fix, the default didn't kill the 47 people. A reaper skin tried to kill them all, but the default broke the last ramp, so the reaper didn't get all the kills

He’s actively completely wrong there’s so many things wrong with this tweet first the pump when this was tweeted was perfection it did 200 damage good pullout time, Secondly chapter 2 mythics were so good, Old map is amazing but doesn’t mean it needs to be brought back for the game to be good again. The things that will make the game good again casuals stop complaining about people playing the game that just leads to unbalanced weapons, the pump and scar needs to come back they’re perfectly balanced weapons specifically chapter 2 season 3 to season 8 version of these weapons, next better maps these maps just suck this new season is great but the mythic poi’s are horrible they’re right next to each other so your always gonna get third partied, stop with the collars remember back in chapter 2 season 4 when the collab felt special now if we had that it would be like a wow that’s cool ig moment. Stop experimenting with weapons, weapons that are experimented on always just are mid or trash, take chapter 3 for example the prime shotgun was ok but was not good at all and that was a shotgun experiment. They also need to bring back the old artstyle of chapter 1 and chapter 2 both of those artsyles were perfection they felt like Fortnite they were bright colourful and vibrant now not so much, Next bring back siphon I couldn’t ask enough for this everyone competitively and casually wants this yet epic is to dumb to add it. Sbmm is a mixed bag because now with such a high skill gap between players having no sbmm would be really bad for people bad or just ok at the game think about what would happen to the people bad at the game without sbmm they would get wrecked it’s not like there’s much defaults left most people are either ok or good at the game. And well that’s what I think will make the game great again like it was in chapter 1 and chapter 2.
