Hey Alec, dare you to make either a crown, or a piece of armour.

can we take a moment to appreciate will’s neat drawing skills
"We're making a stiletto, it's a very small dagger."
*Proceeds to forge up enough damascus steel to create 3 Scottish Claymores.*
Joel Maybe 2 claymores but he makes a lot now and then saves it for projects when he has less time to make Damascus again.
@@lafondla21 Haha very true. Still, just found it hilarious how he creates so much extra material, especially for such a small sword!
@@joelandamber He did mentioned stockpile :)
@@joelandamber Dagger, not a sword.
Not sure if it would even be possible to forge such a small piece damascus.
how about high quality pdfs of those drawings so we can use as wallpaper? They look sick! Please Alec
willing to bet it'll be a t-shirt design soon! take my money already.
Drawing on one side, picture of the finished dagger next to it. I'd happily use that as my desktop wallpaper.
The way this channel is evolving since the move to Montana is just excellent. Beautiful projects, great personalities.........and upload times perfect for us night-owls here in the UK!

Calling centimeters freedom meters is one of the best things I've heard all day.
also one of the most American things hahaha
Inches bad centimetres good foot bad meter good
🤦♂️ can’t you get along with the rest of the world? Call it centimetres wouldn’t kill you. Also you spelled it wrong.
I thought the exact same thing! I was like ‘freedom meters?’ - they show the ruler
Uhm do you mean ‘centimetres?’

Hey man, remember, the dagger only looks cooler after the heat and the forge. You got this
Massive applause and props to Jamie once again for the beautiful edits. The cameraman did a great job and then Jamie's signature edits has made this a wonderful viewing experience once again.
I hope Jamie gets the chance to visit Alec and Will here in the US one day!
Zeph Tzou Jamie is still editing? I thought he was only supposed to do that for a short time after Alec moved
@@spawnage170 nope. Couple videos ago, Alec mentioned that Jamie still edits for them. His name is also credited in the description.

OCD & spastic galore.
You really should embrace those strange measurements found on the dark side of the ruler...
Search your feelings, Will, you know it to be true.
This comment is so hilarious.
This comment is so freaking hysterical.
You mean, they don't have to bother with measurements like 18/32 etc?
Bwoahahaha. Yeah, will is gonna warm up to metric system eventually.
carpathic you meant 9/16? Why would you use 18/32?? Jk

The Grindmaster. They should do a Steele vs Stelter where the prize is the right to call him Grindy McGrindface. What should Alec's forfeit be?
I need a Freedom Meters shirt. Also, can't wait to see this thing all finished and etched. It's going to be gorgeous!
Now this!! This is good content! This is the Alec we have missed and it feels great to see a video like this, great length, great content
This episode was on point! felt like a real return to formula

Love that josh showed up. Super awesome to see him.
I am always so very much impressed with Will's amazing work on all that tedious hand-filing/ shaping.
Very well done, once again!
Will's file work always amazes me, what he can accomplish in a day would take me a year of messing up and then I'd give up.
A tremendous amount of talent and skill on display there.
Freedom metres. Noice 😂
It’s almost like the entire scientific community switched over years ago because it’s superior 😉
Antoni Gates
If the old system was entirely base 12, SI wouldn’t be so superior, but with the weird mix of ratios between one unit and the next, it’s not surprising that it’s been abandoned (at least by rational people) for SI.
Nillie ... you mean, if Imperial was like the metric system, we would be using the metric system?
Antoni Gates
If imperial was entirely base 12, it may not have needed to be replaced. Since it’s not, though, it’s crap and should be eliminated entirely.
well, I think they realised at that moment that they're using millimeter paper....
@@ragnkja yeah, monsieur lapalisse... if it wasn't bad it would have been good! thanks
I think on these multi-man projects on those close ups would be great to show who's doing the work... in a stylish way
Better than anything on TV. Thanks boys.
Alec is going to progressively build more and more difficult projects until the absolute mad lad forges an entire tank
Well crap, now I won't be happy until he unveils the damascus tank project.
That would be pretty awesome.
I thoroughly enjoy your long builds. Its great to see the detail you folks put into the videos and pieces themselves. Who is with me?

Hope to see a "junk knife/sword" made of cut offs and left over materials from all of the other builds😊
Editor, did you just use a legend of Zelda sound bit¿? Epic
Paylin Miles bruh the chest opening 💀💀💀
OoT chest sound with get item! The only thing that made the stabby truck comment not the highlight of the episode for me! Stabby truck gets a respectable second place.
Once more, the editing is on point.
Alec’s laugh when he said it’s gonna be a 35 part project 😂
Easily a 100 pt

The camera work, video editing and sound scoring is just superb! Looking forward to the next 25 episodes of this build!
guess were finally going to get a 100pt series
Nah....35 parts, so see you in 2020 when it is finished.
If the keyhole handle didn't get him that far, then I doubt this will. It'll probably be a long one though.
@@williamjeffersonclinton69 no 5 parts how they make the blade and 95 parts fit and finish

Make a damascus steel bumper for your truck😂
sorry, he cant as he never made damascus steel...
but an damascus patterned steel bumper with some gorgeous patterns he could make ;)
(i know that is nitpicky but it's true though everyone calls the patterned stuff just damascus though it's not made of wootz steel)
@@brrebrresen1367 the art of wootz has been almost entirely lost and this is its replacement. It may not be true damascus but it should still be some sort of damascus.
I doubt he'll ever make any vehicle customization as they're illegal for street use in America. It's not really enforced as you can see people all day long with carbon fiber hoods and whatnot on their cars. However, it's still illegal and I doubt Alec is seeking any form of legal repercussions. Would be cool though.
Pokemon Master where is it illegal? Yeah, exhaust mods and crazy lighting can get you in trouble, but since when was a carbon fiber hood illegal? Besides, steel bumpers are legal in most states, so long as you don’t have the lifted way off the ground
Pokemon Master take this with a grain of salt as I’m not American but I believe you have to be licensed to modify cars to do such modifications. Therefore Alec couldn’t.
Will, you should blow Alec’s mind by introducing him to an engineers scale (inches, but in tenths). Boom!
waw je me souviens pourquoi je me suis aboné, vraiment super video !
surtout le debut avec la musique bien callée sur les coups de marteau au ralenti/accéléré juste énorme continue comme ça
The editing on this video was on point, especially that opening forge scene!
I found it a bit exagerated
@@marcostttttt Probably the music choice, I personally would use a different song. I just found the angles, and the steady tempo of the whole scene nice and smooth.
What is so great about you tube is what is going on in this video, you have 4 masters on thier trades working together, combining to produce one great item. What a pleasure to watch.
i've been waiting for a new project of yours to get me really excited, and I think I know what that might be now

Would it be possible to do a Damascus patterned Medieval suit of armour?
Can you imagine a whole set that looked like Will’s kitchen knife?!?!?
@@markoconnell804 I knew Will was gifted but damn.....that is a kitchen knife to end all kitchen knives.
That bronze turning on the lathe was a beautiful thing. This is going to be an awesome project. A huge amount of work was put into this one video. very impressive.
Pssst, Will.
It's a pommel - finials are for furniture, decorations, and now, the top of your head. 😂
You can't even end one rightly with a finial! Only the finest unscrewable pommels will do!
Looks like a Beautiful start to a 35 part RUclips series indeed. So funny yet so true. So nice to have some ABS Mastersmiths like Josh and Neil there to glean some ideas from and lend a helping hand. I am glad that the Stiletto will get a proper stand to display it beautifully. Speaking of the Aussie in the room, since he recently also made an epic and stunning Main Gauche and you have a Damascus rapier on the wall, perhaps after this sweet project a matching Main Gauche will be made to dual wield with that sweet rapier. On Guard I say.
Stabbed with a truck...that just made my day
I LOVE this content. Grade A collabs, grade A workmanship, an absolute masterpiece of videography and editing. Knows the demographic of people watching (peep that zelda referance). Side note hundred part full set of armour as a project with lots of fine details and a sword shield dagger to go with it
This is such a cool project. You guys did so much in one video. A lot of pieces coming together already and I'm loving the detail you're showing in the build process. This thing is going to be awesome!
I don’t care if it is 35 parts I just love you making cool stuff👍
With the amount they have done already, and without any problems, I guess they won't take to long
For some reason I would love to see a video of Alec cutting and twisting steel to find some of the best looking patterns
Did he just roast the imperial measuring system!?! Yess Steele YES!
Hi Alec, here's something I've been throwing around and no one wants to pick it up or are up to the challenge because it must be a huge undertaking but if someone can do it, it's you guys. I don't know how often you read your comments or if you do at all after a certain time but here goes..
If you do read this and since you asked what your followers wanted to see you do, here's what I would actually like to see get created from scratch... Forging a 1:1 scale of Thor's hammer Mjolnir in the way Eitri and his fellow dwarfs would of done it. Not welding pieces together (for shape) and then filling it with lead but rather taking a solid piece of 5160 steel and actually forging the hammer from start to finish (folding it a few times to show some patterns), with all the engraving on all 8 sides done by hand, not electro/chemically etched. Having a Tungsten handle running through it all the way to the disc on top of the hammer (maybe done in a socket so that the handle screws in to the top disc via a forged socket for extra strength). 5160 steel is what a true and real Mjolnir deserves, heat treated and tempered would make it the hardest, densest, strongest, heaviest and maybe even a world record title holder and one of the most incredible piece ever forged. I'm sure that if such a Mjolnir was ever forged in such fashion, that it would easily be given a seal of approval/certification from Marvel Universe/MCU itself. With such a validation, a phone call to the Guinness Book Of World Records would be the next step. Just imagine the publicity, the viewers count, new subscribers following such a project coming to fruition, it would go extremely viral, especially with Marvel certifying it as the best 1:1 100% life size scale around, making this all forged Mjolnir a one of a kind.
P.S. This would not only be a one of a kind but also a true Master piece of forged steel, a highly collectible Marvel item that I am sure would have true Marvel Universe/MCU older collectors/fans go into a bidding war to acquire it. The only way to do so is to really make the size a 1:1 life size scale replica of the original in the movies. Which if 100% accurate and certified by Marvel themselves, would fetch a very high price. Hence why the need for it to be made out of 5160 steel, heat treated and tempered, have the art engraved on all 8 sides and have a Master leather craftsman do the handle, also have Master hand engraver do all 8 sides and then electro/chemically etched the Celtic symbol on 1 side and the worthiness enchantment electro/chemically etched on the other side (neither side engraved) the worthiness spell and Celtic symbol need to be very subtle to the eye. The pummel would need to be 5160 steel and made to look exactly as the one in the movies and absolutely needs a leather strap attached to the pummel even if never used due to the weight of the hammer. I can just see it now, it would literally be a Master Piece of forged steel and again, a highly one of a kind collectible item.
Is it possible or is it too much of a challenge to create?
OK, I went back and looked. 14:00 minutes into the first Monster Forge video, Will says there will be a "Pretty sweet set of moving doors so we aren't fumbling around with bricks and stuff like that " - This video -- still bricks :)
