I love Kirstie's dresses, and it's refreshing to see that she wears the same one on different episodes, like the one on this episode. Both couples extremely picky. The third house for Kirstie's couple was ideal, and they can't compromise on the garden? Sheesh. Thanks for the upload.
extremely picky doesn't even begin to touch the problem - wow what a bunch of whiners - whitehaired guy said it best - too particular and too fussy - hopeless - only ones that benefit from these shows are Kirstie and Phil, their endless patience boggles my mind
@@nancyn347 They are African prints. I’ve seen the material on sale in Dalston, London. Normally made into long frocks and headdresses for West African women. She must have a very good dressmaker because they are a fantastic fit and very flattering to her form.
@@davidwiseman7774 here are the shops from where she buys her dresses: The Cross Shop, in Holland Park, and KJs Laundry in Marylebone. Kirstie often shops for fabrics in west London's Shepherd's Bush, which she then takes to her favorite designer Rashmi Makwana.
Do what my parents did: the youngest kid gets the smallest room, and as the others move out, the kid moves on to the bigger room. It sure worked for my family.
Exactly my thoughts, throughout all our UK generations to the present day (friends and family) the youngest always has the smallest room & noone bats an eye. What happened to laying sod down as an option for gardens? Closed minds methinks.
I think too many couples think that Phil and Kirsty can pull a rabbit out of the hat and find the perfect properties at an ideal price. They often do but when they aren’t able to, it usually comes down to uncompromising buyers rather than the houses they show them.
I give you credit. I just don’t know how you work with buyers like that. The beautiful, beautiful things you showed them, & they rejected for really, really minor things, very possibly means they may have missed the house that would be best for them.
Unreal…..both families today…..all talk and no action…. last houses for both were the right fit. Jeez. Whatever. Thank goodness for Phil and Kirsty and their fun relationship …..these people are maddening. Just want to be on the telly.
House one was a very good match for the blended family with two children. The garden was lovely. You can't conjure up more space for a garden. Yes, the bathroom was badly positioned, but Kirstie presented an excellent plan to reconfigure the downstairs. I would have gotten a quote from a builder. They could have then decided whether to go for it, offer 10,000 under asking.... or, they could have lived with the present layout for a few years. The garden was ready to go. The house had the space required, plus the equal bedrooms.
I shared a large bedroom with two other brothers. There was a single and double bed and dad built all kinds of storage units. The study desks were in the hall and an area downstairs. We didn’t have a problem with it. Expectations have certainly changed.
It's interesting about bedrooms exactly the same size. One child might like a snug bedroom in the eaves, another might want more space to spread out toys. Personality leads. I understand that it becomes something different in a family with step-parents but there are lots of ways to make children's bedrooms comfortable without making them equal size.
It makes no sense to buy a house for teenagers to live happily for a few years and then they go off to uni or trade school or something else. Just rent for a few years and when the kids are grown then buy a nice house that makes you happy.

I think both couples were time wasters and probably just wanted to be on tv. Who cares what children think or want? Surely by now people must realise that little bedrooms were designed for babies and small children. Two year olds dont need double beds 🙄 and Kristy's right about boys! 🙄🤨
Keep in mind that Phil and Kirstie are only with them for a few days and they’re only looking at three to four houses. Not everyone is going to find a house in that short period.
So just freeload on your relatives while you whine your way through houses ? Sure why not…moving is so expensive they really need to think ahead…will they need a giant house in five years time? Those kids will be gone or going…and the other couple, sure kids want big bedrooms if you ask them, but they aren’t paying the mortgage. I have a room of my own at age 65 for the first time ever lol
That's far too polite a way to express an opinion about how they behaved. Send them to live somewhere awful..... They were so picky. Pity their poor neighbours!
Miss Green Thumb should maybe give up a round of golf. Its so easy to redo a gravel garden with a lawn & a few shrubs. That house was very well maintained. BUT, do local bylaws allow front garden to be asphalted like that?
Honestly, this show makes me so glad I don't want to be a realtor, because I'd last about twenty minutes. Someone needs to sit all people down and make it plain to them that it's not a game and holding out isn't helping them, they're just deciding to be left behind.
Large bedrooms are a waste of time and money. What child or teen needs more than room for a bed and space for clothes. Oh, send them out for a job to help wih the mortgage payments! I'm an adult and most of my house is a waste of space. Sleep in the bedroom, live in my kitchen diner and bathe in my bathroom. I live in Florida and most time is outside in the garden.
In almost every episode Phil or Kirsty says " the prices have rocketed in this city" Which cities, which areas have the prices not soared? Which areas are not very difficult to find properties for the clients? Or Are only upmarket areas used in this series?
With Kirstie' search, it is odd, but many of the houses in the street I grew up in met the criteria for two equal sized bedrooms with a larger princilpal one. Our house had an 11x15 feet main plus two secondary bedroom thst were 9x10 feet. Not huge, but big enough for comfort. Only one bath and no where to add a second upstairs, there were other options. That house included eat in kitchen and living room, both 11x15 feet and a separate dining room that was 13x10. With very little floor space wasted on landings, it lived large for a small semi detached Edwardian house. Phil's house 1 is, to me, perfection. Beautiful drawing room, lovely formal dining room, and I'm with Phil, knocking through the wall between the kitchen and study makes a great room.
