    so a quick fire question!!!!
was the brake booster replaced & did that resolve any issues found with the 'possibly' faulty booster

I have the same problem, replaced a new brake booster and it works like new. Problem is three months later the booster failed again. This is cause by the motor oil from vacuum pump migrating into the booster pump. So my advise is check both before putting in money.

My e46 xi was making a whistle noise while driving on a regular road not highway so I've found a site were talking about it so I've removed it and found it was pluged up

I just started experiencing that today (the whistling) and hours later my brake pedal locked.

What if the break pedal is so stiff the car wont start becaue it does not register the break is engaged to start?

Hi everyone. I have a same car what's in that video, and problem is same, hard brake pedal. I replaced brake booster, vacuum pump, and the hose with valve, but still same problem, and booster doesn't get any vacuum at all. I checked all these parts on another same car, and somehow everything works just fine. Does anyone has any idea what else could cause no vacuum problem in booster even with new parts? Thanks in advance.
