I know this video is like four years old but it is probably my favorite version of this song that I've seen live or taped. The actors playing Gaston and Belle play off each other great and Gaston has a great voice.

I just loved the level of creativity and great personalities you would find in the people you worked with on these shows. I love everything about musicals and I wish that I was good enough to do them professionally, but there will always be a place for me somewhere in the small theatre productions and thats okay with me.

Gaston was def. the smallest one I've seen yet, but def. the funniest and best actor/singer. Belle was absolutely amazing as well! Again absolutely fabulous job for everyone! :D
Hello Jeremy 🤗 A few years ago I saw the german Broadway Show of Beauty and the Beast, and I was very disappointed as the Gaston actor had no 'spark' in my opinion - he just delivered his lines and songs and that was it. But you Sir...I just found this video, and hands down: You are THE BEST!!! 👏👏👏 Your voice is incredible, but most of all I love how you 'lived' this character, full of energy and comedy. The choreography was just perfect and spot on with the music! You threw that girl around like a toy, but you always managed to catch her or hold her, so she couldn't escape - brilliant! And you know what? I don't know if this was intentional, but somehow your head-movements reminded me of Jim Carrey's character 'Ace Ventura' 😅 As a Jim Carrey Fan, this was a special treat for me! Thank you for sharing this video. I wish you all the best! 😊
Fun Fact: The Bimbettes, the three sisters who have a crush on Gaston, are the closest counterparts to Belle's sisters from the original Beauty and the Beast fairy tale.
I really like this. I am playing gaston in my school production and our coriography is the exact same no different. Our belle is quite heavy though so it's hard to lift her but to be fair I'm only 12

This is the first one I've seen with the Gaston voice having the right center. It just sounds so goofy if Gaston is a high baritone (high center) and Le Feu is a low bass, which seems to be a common problem. Excellent job.
I'm guessing Belle had some mic trouble there half way through? She was holding something behind her back like she was fixing it right before "escape me there's no way". Also it appeared tucked in on the inner part of her apron after that, saw it sticking out. ;)

Even though this video is a few years old, I'll comment anyway. :) While this isn't the most technically "correct" version of Me I've seen in terms of vocals, it is my favourite nonetheless. You took what was an already comic song and really made it your own. The way Belle and Gaston interacted had me on the floor at times - particularly the family tree line; the two expressions are priceless. A real joy to watch. Well done!

Actually fixing a mic pack is very professional (in my opinion). A lot of people don't fix it and then you can't hear them so the mics have to be raised higher which causes it to pick up a lot of background noise.
I'm a dreadful dancer and hardly much of a singer. There are rare moments when I get my acting right, but I have a deep voice and I articulate well, so I milk that for all its worth, and you wouldn't believe how many parts that has gotten me. Once you've landed the part you'll have all of rehearsal to work on everything else. Break a leg!
